I have combination dehydrated skin with an extremely dry U-zone and oily T-zone. I've previously struggled with adult acne due to sensitive skin, so I prefer basic products with soothing properties and always check for gentle ingredients (Centella Asiatica extract works well for me). My previous skincare routine was Dokdo Toner - Sum Secret Essence - Dokdo Emulsion - Physiogel Moisturizing Cream. For comparison, I only changed the toner to Cica Relief Toner while keeping other products the same. I deliberately avoided using any sheet masks to verify its effectiveness. Texture: It's a very watery toner with almost no scent, which I like. When used as an exfoliating toner, it initially felt a bit tight, but with continued use, I found it to be quite hydrating and effective at addressing deep dryness. Effectiveness: When I started using it, I had slight redness on my cheeks, which disappeared completely after 3-4 days of use. It usually takes 5-6 days. I think it was quite effective, possibly because Centella Asiatica extract works well for my skin. However, it doesn't eliminate large blemishes or acne scars. Some acne marks from a month ago on one cheek are still visible. What I like: Using it as a skin pack for 5-10 minutes before morning makeup works wonders. I received compliments on my skin on days I did this, even when I rushed my base makeup. Also, I didn't feel any dryness in the afternoon when I went out after doing a skin pack. Despite being a very watery toner, it feels like it addresses deep dryness as if I've applied a hydrating ampoule. I used a generous amount of product. Using just a little as an exfoliating toner doesn't quite address deep dryness.
ConsDrawbacks: 1. The price-to-volume ratio is quite high, making it difficult to use liberally like a watery toner. For consistent use, the price point should be more affordable. I hope they release a larger size to lower the unit price. 2. When used as an exfoliating toner, it initially felt a bit tight - like wiping a waxy glass surface with water. I really didn't like it at first, but the tight feeling decreased with continued use. However, it doesn't leave a particularly smooth finish. Applying it directly with hands felt better. Note: Those with very dry skin might find it lacking in hydration. It seems suitable for those with sensitive skin looking for gentle products, and might work well for combination dehydrated or oily skin types.
TipUsage tips: - Highly recommend using it as a skin pack before morning makeup! It seems to hydrate, soothe, and improve makeup application. - Instead of using a cotton pad, try applying it directly with your hands in 2-3 layers. It's definitely more hydrating and helps with soothing. - I plan to buy an empty bottle to use it as a mist. This product seems more versatile as a skin pack or mist than a regular toner. The photo shows my skin after first use and completing my routine. The redness disappeared after 3-4 days. While my skin didn't improve dramatically, it didn't worsen either.
