This cica essence is really effective. It's particularly good at calming the skin. The hydration could be a bit better. It's more of a soothing essence for oily skin types. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 1, 2024
Honestly, my skin is super sensitive and prone to redness due to blemishes, but after using this, it's like it creates a thin protective layer. It moisturizes well and I was pleased to see my skin much calmer the next day. Since it's an essence type, first-time users might be confused about how to apply it or why it turns white as you rub it in. I think it would be helpful if they included application instructions. For best results, squeeze out about a coin-sized amount onto the back of your hand or palm, rub it together, then pat it onto your face. This helps it absorb well and ensures even application. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 22, 2023
I love how quickly it absorbs and that it's fragrance-free. As someone who's been dealing with extremely sensitive skin, contact dermatitis, and rosacea for two years, I'm most impressed by how rapidly it calms my redness. While it absorbs well, the hydration might be a bit lacking. However, since it's not primarily designed for moisturizing, I think it would work great when paired with a gentle emulsion. The official website recommends patting it on instead of rubbing for best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 22, 2023
Aestura products always seem to exceed expectations. The texture is somewhat closer to an essence, but it's a lightweight cream. Don't worry about it being too heavy on your skin. With its cica ingredients, it's definitely great for calming the skin, and it's absolutely perfect for moisturizing in winter. I also love the design - it's cute and reminds me of medicine you'd get from a pharmacy. I'm using this product with complete satisfaction - there's nothing to complain about! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJan 2, 2023
Soothing... so soothing! It's great for calming the skin! You can really feel the cica essence settling onto your face in a thin, even layer. I've been using it for over a month and I love it. The A-Cica line seems to be really well-formulated. Highly recommended for dry skin types. The price...? Well, Aestura products are always good, but the price is a bit steep. It would be nice if they came out with a toner version too. If you apply too much at once, it can leave a white cast and be difficult to absorb, so apply it in small amounts, layering as needed! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 29, 2022
I'm so in love with the moisturizing effect, hydration, and skin-soothing properties that I've switched my entire skincare routine to Aestura Cica products! While it might not be the best for pore management, the benefits I'm getting are so clear that I can easily overlook this minor issue. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 7, 2022
- Soothing effect: After prepping my skin with toner pads, I used this instead of emulsion. It calmed redness and prevented dryness. Despite my skin being extra sensitive due to the cold weather, there was no irritation. In fact, my skin felt comfortable! It seems more effective for calming redness than treating blemishes. - Hydrating formula: Initially, I was worried about absorption when I first applied it, but once it fully sank in, I felt just the right amount of moisture without any stickiness. As a cream-essence type, it's lighter than rich cream-type cica products. However, depending on your skin type, it might feel heavy or suffocating. - Skin-friendly ingredients: Zero harmful ingredients + fragrance-free The absorption is extremely slow. If you apply too much at once, it can leave a white cast on the skin, so you need to apply small amounts and gently massage it in for better absorption. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinNov 15, 2022
If I get any blemishes, I find that applying a small amount or slathering it on generously like a cica mask seems to calm my skin down The size is surprisingly large, so I wonder if I'll be able to use it all up. But honestly, there's not really anything bad to say - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinOct 21, 2022
It's not a water-based formula, but rather a cream texture. Still, it feels soothing, and despite its consistency, it doesn't feel heavy when applied, which I really like! I wish it came in a larger size and was available as part of a set with other products! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 14, 2022
Recommended for: - Dry skin - Sensitive skin - Irritated skin - Combination skin Texture & Finish: The cream-essence formula has a slightly rich consistency that flows smoothly. It absorbs incredibly fast without leaving any sticky residue! Soothing & Hydration: I tried this product when my entire face was feeling super sensitive, and it truly soothes quickly! I was satisfied with how rapidly it reduced redness. As someone with dry skin, hydration was also important to me, and perhaps because it's a cream-essence, the moisturizing effect lasted for a long time. The only minor issue might be that sometimes it's a bit tricky to control the amount that comes out of the squeeze bottle. If you're not careful, you might end up dispensing a little more than needed.
