I couldn't find any advantages with this product as it didn't suit me. Even if it's a popular item, always check the ingredients before using! I tried two samples I received from Olive Young, but each time my skin broke out in tiny blemishes, became bumpy, and turned red. I had high hopes because I heard it was good for soothing sensitive skin, but instead of calming it, my skin actually got worse. After checking the Hwahae reviews, I found out it contains an acid ingredient that can clog pores. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 1, 2021
Before buying, I read reviews saying you need to pat it on to avoid pilling. But surprisingly, it glides on smoothly without much effort. The overall experience is pretty decent. It contains pore-clogging ingredients. I thought 'surely it won't affect me' and bought it anyway, but lo and behold, I ended up with milia. I wouldn't recommend this for acne-prone skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 25, 2021
The squeeze tube packaging is hygienic. The scent is pleasant. It's not overly sticky. It's difficult to control the amount dispensed, and it comes out suddenly. Though it's thin, it turns cloudy when applied. When I applied it to my chin area, it seemed to clog my pores and immediately caused blemishes. It's not worth the price. After using this, I broke out... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 10, 2021
This cream-essence is designed for super sensitive skin. It's said to help with soothing and strengthening skin's natural resilience. I heard the ingredients were good, so I ordered a sample pack to try. When my skin suddenly flares up, applying this seems to have a calming effect, so I'm looking forward to using it with a positive mindset. I'll update my review if I notice anything else after using it more! So far, I haven't found any downsides. However, I noticed in other reviews that there might be some pore-clogging ingredients, so those with oily skin should be cautious. It's worth keeping in mind. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 14, 2021
It's pretty decent and works well for my combination dehydrated skin. So far, I've been using it without any major blemishes. I'm a bit worried about potential breakouts since it contains ingredients that might clog pores, especially for oily skin. Although I haven't experienced any issues yet, I'm still concerned it might cause problems. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 5, 2021
When my face broke out after switching to the wrong cosmetics, I quickly ordered this and gave it a try. I was skeptical at first, but after using it for a few days, my skin calmed down and my complexion became clear again! I loved how it reduced redness and prevented further blemishes from appearing. So far, I'm using it without any complaints! Some people mention it can clog pores, but I haven't noticed that myself. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 25, 2021
I've tried several cica creams and repair creams from brands like Uriage and La Roche-Posay, but this one feels the least heavy while still providing excellent soothing effects. It's great for my often sensitive eye area as it's not too rich. (I could visibly see the reduction in redness every time I applied it) The absorption isn't great. Careful amount control is essential! If you don't use enough, you'll need to apply multiple thin layers. When I applied it all over my face, I noticed hard sebum forming in my pores... It might be better to apply it only on sensitive areas locally. I suggest trying it on a small part of your face first. If you don't get any blemishes, then you can apply it all over. Looking at other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who experienced sebum issues. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 16, 2021
Skin type - Overall oily face with high heat levels Absorbs well! When you spread it on your face and pat it in, it gets absorbed quickly. Moisturizing effect! It has a slight oiliness that seems to balance the oil and moisture for oily skin. If you feel a slight tightness after completing your skincare routine, applying this makes it feel comfortable and not tight. It doesn't give a intense hydration feeling, so you still need to apply a moisturizer. Packaging! It's cute, shaped like a baby bottle, and flexible, making it easy to squeeze out the product. As long as you don't press too hard, it's easy to control the amount. Texture! When you squeeze it out and apply it right away, it has a gel-cream-like slip that makes it easy to spread. It's not heavy, so it doesn't feel like it's sitting on top of your skin. Almost no stickiness. Effectiveness! I received it as a Hwahae Tester winner, but I think people who bought it expecting definite results would be disappointed. There was absolutely no effect on reducing blemishes or calming the skin! Ingredients! There are ingredients that aren't good for oily skin, so it can cause more blemishes to appear. Maybe because it contains pore-clogging ingredients, blemishes started to pop up on my skin... You need to think carefully before buying. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2021
I was lucky enough to be selected as one of The Hwahae Testers to try this product! My skin type is acne-prone with combination dehydrated skin. Pros: Great hydration - Even though I have oily skin, I actually like when my skin looks dewy in the morning, so I enjoyed this aspect. If you don't like that glowy look, you might want to skip this one. No irritation - While I did experience some blemishes, I didn't notice any redness or burning sensation. In fact, when I apply it as the final step, my skin feels quite soothed and comfortable. Cons: Causes breakouts - For the first couple of days, I thought it was great. But then I started noticing more and more blemishes popping up. Everyone's skin is different, so I'm not saying it won't work for you, but if you have similar skin to mine, keep this in mind before purchasing. Also, it contains some pore-clogging ingredients, which might be the culprit behind the breakouts. Feels heavy - Perhaps due to its intense hydration, it does feel a bit heavy on the skin. While it's soothing, there's definitely a noticeable layer on your skin. It's quite pricey... While I received this as part of The Hwahae Testers program, I think it's a bit expensive to purchase on your own. For those of us dealing with blemishes, skincare can already be quite costly, and it's a shame that this product, which might be risky to try due to its pore-clogging ingredients, comes with such a high price tag... I used this as the very last step in my skincare routine, after applying mostly hydrating products. If you rub it in, it might pill, so gently pat it into your skin for better absorption without any pilling issues. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 15, 2021
✓ I have oily skin with a few pustular blemishes. Texture: - The product name 'cream essence' is apt. It has a cream-like consistency with some viscosity. It absorbs well without feeling greasy, so it doesn't cause pilling when applying makeup. Scent: - The fragrance is barely noticeable. Moisturization: - While the product description emphasizes moisturizing and soothing effects, I didn't experience much soothing for my acne-prone skin. However, the hydration was impressive. I'd recommend this to those who struggle with dryness. Ingredients: - There seem to be some pore-clogging ingredients, which might be why it didn't suit my oily skin well. If you have oily skin and want to use this, I'd suggest using a very small amount, only in the evening during seasonal changes. Price: - The price is really disappointing. These days, there are many creams with good ingredients at better prices, and I didn't feel any special benefits besides moisturization. Packaging: - While they've made it a squeeze type because it's a cream essence, I think a tube type would have been better. Overall: The price is a letdown. Soothing? I didn't really feel it... The amount used is crucial! This might suit other skin types better than oily skin. A family member with combination-dry skin was satisfied with the moisturizing power and everything else. The amount used is super important. Apply only a small amount!
