I don't have many blemishes, but there's some redness on my cheeks. Personally, I was satisfied with this product. Many people said it doesn't look pretty when it breaks down, but I thought the breakdown wasn't bad compared to other foundations, and I've never felt like it darkened significantly. On the contrary, I thought it broke down more naturally than other products. I prefer a lightweight feel on my skin, so this wasn't bad for me. Contrary to my expectations, it applied smoothly, leaving my skin feeling moisturized on the inside and looking matte on the outside, which I liked. What satisfied me the most was that it doesn't contain any harmful ingredients.
ConsIt's disappointing that the price seems quite high for the amount you get. I wouldn't recommend this for people with a lot of blemishes or skin troubles. It seems to only provide very light coverage, just enough to conceal some redness. Also, I wouldn't recommend this for those with dry skin who don't have a solid skincare routine, or for those who dislike a matte finish on the surface. They might find it extremely drying.
TipI think it's best to use this after doing a thorough skincare routine. Before applying, use concealer on dark circles and around the mouth area first. This approach seems to make the skin look brighter and better overall!

As someone with a 21-22 skin tone, shade 2 gave me a radiant look. It applies smoothly and evenly with just a few swipes. What I loved most is how it covers blemishes well without feeling thick, and it doesn't dry out my skin! The stick foundation is moisturizing yet doesn't break apart (no snapping or crumbling), which is great. For longevity, I only needed a quick touch-up after lunch. It has a pretty, natural wear-down effect. Most importantly, I didn't experience any darkening! It doesn't pill when reapplied, which saves time in the morning!
ConsThe packaging could be improved. The heart shape means you have to twist it back exactly to close the lid, which becomes a bit cumbersome when you've used more than half the product.

My skin type is combination dehydrated skin! 1. First off, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous~ From the outer box to the case itself, everything is cute and pretty. The case is tiny and adorable, almost like a toy. The product is smaller than I expected. It's about the length of my middle finger..? This makes it super convenient to carry around. 2. There's no darkening effect. The foundation color was just right for me. Usually when I buy foundation, it's either too yellow, too red, or has a grayish tint, but this product had the ideal color I've been looking for. In my opinion, it's a decent foundation that's perfect for carrying around lightly.
Cons1. It feels very dry when applying. Being a stick type, you have to rub it directly on your face, but it's not moisturizing enough to glide on smoothly. Even when patting it with a puff afterwards, it feels quite dry and powdery. It doesn't feel extremely dry after application, but it's notably dry during the application process. 2. I felt the price was a bit high considering the amount of product and its performance.
TipI think I'll find this particularly useful for neck makeup. It seems convenient as it's easy to carry and can be applied directly. Also, when patting with a puff, I'd recommend spraying some mist to alleviate the dryness during application.

For those who usually carry their full-size foundation, this will be incredibly convenient. After applying and going about your day for half a day, I noticed it didn't develop that grayish cast some foundations do. Instead of focusing on grayness, I paid attention to how it wore off, and personally, I liked how it faded gracefully. Just make sure to have a solid skincare base. The foundation itself seems to have very little oil content. This might be great for those with oily skin, but if you have dry skin, you might find it quite matte. It can highlight everything from pores to dead skin cells. As someone with combination and super sensitive skin that reacts badly to the wrong products, I always scrutinize ingredients. However, this product didn't cause any blemishes. That speaks to how gentle it is, doesn't it?
ConsWhile the design is truly beautiful and compact, the price of 26,000 won feels quite steep for the amount you get. If you're planning to use this to cover all your blemishes or use it as generously as a regular foundation, you might go through it in a week due to its small size. Although it doesn't turn very gray, there seems to be some darkening. It breaks down giving a glow to the skin, but darkening is unavoidable. The foundation itself has a matte texture, so if you have dry skin and don't prep well, you'll quickly notice emphasized dead skin cells and pores. Even with my combination skin, I experienced this. Personally, I found it difficult to apply evenly with fingers, and the foundation tends to pill when you swipe it across the skin. If you're looking to cover blemishes, I'd recommend using a concealer instead.
TipPersonally, I found that using a puff gave better skin coverage than applying with fingers. For those with dry skin, I'd recommend using this more in summer rather than winter.

It's compact and cute. Easy to store and looks like a beautiful decoration piece wherever you place it. Color For skin tones between 21 and 23, it's a really pretty color. It doesn't have a grayish tint, but a beautiful yellow base that blends well with the skin. It's neither too light nor too dark. For shade 21, it looks natural, while for 23, it gives a nice brightening effect. It matched perfectly with my shade 22 skin, giving a subtle glow without clashing with my natural skin tone. Skin Appearance It applies thinly and naturally. It's not matte or semi-matte, but it's not an extremely moisturizing foundation either (no glass skin effect). While it doesn't give a shine, it does feel moisturizing, giving a natural 'I'm wearing something' look. It feels like it's coating the skin. It creates a natural, beautiful skin appearance without shine. It's nothing like semi-matte or matte formulas, but it's not dewy either - it's right in the middle. If you prefer a balanced skin appearance that doesn't lean too far in either direction, you might like this. Personally, it felt like the skin appearance you'd get from a CC cushion. (But it's more of a foundation feel than a CC cream.) Wear & Darkening It wears beautifully. It doesn't flake or peel off, but naturally melts into the skin, so even as time passes, your makeup doesn't start looking unpleasant. The color naturally tones down a bit, but it doesn't turn grayish or yellowish unlike your initial application. + This is more of a characteristic than an advantage, but the foundation is moisturizing without being greasy. Usually, when I apply a thorough skincare routine and use Clio Kill Cover or Moonshot Micro Fit as a base, I get a bit of an oily shine (often described as a glow, but it can be overwhelming as time passes) after a while. With Merrimonde, you just get a natural skin glow? The soft, supple skin appearance lasts longer. It's a moisturizing foundation but with less oil, so I think it could be recommended for oily skin types too. However, this is only when you've applied a thorough skincare routine underneath, otherwise it will all separate. I think this point would be the same regardless of whether you have oily or dry skin.
ConsPrice vs. Quantity It's about the size of a mini lip tint from a road shop brand. Don't just look at the photos, make sure to check the size before purchasing. The formula isn't particularly solid either, so it's expected to run out quickly. Considering this, it's on the pricier side for a road shop foundation. Application Method Being a stick foundation, it might be tricky for beginners to use. It's not a foundation that spreads well with just the stick alone. You definitely need additional tools, and controlling the amount is crucial. Coverage A concealer is a must. Even then, if you have a lot of blemishes, you might find yourself using more concealer than foundation... Overall Too Ordinary It lacks distinctive features. It's not particularly matte, but it's not moisturizing enough to call it hydrating... However, if you apply a thorough skincare routine underneath, it maintains well without drying out... There's no specific major drawback. The coverage is low and it looks natural, but it's neither matte nor drying, so it's adequate. It's right in the middle in every aspect. Negatively speaking, this could mean it's just average. But considering the price...
TipAmount Control is Essential! You absolutely must do this. If not, you won't be able to discover any of the advantages mentioned earlier like color/skin appearance/beautiful wear, etc. This is a crucial point when using this foundation. The product description clearly states that you can easily apply it with your fingers, but in reality, it's completely different. The stick formula is quite soft, so if you apply pressure, it crumbles on the skin, but it's a thick formula that doesn't spread as easily as a cream. Using your hands is absolutely not recommended. Dotting it on your face a few times and spreading with your fingers absolutely won't work. Personally, I think this is the best method for this product: 1. After applying concealer, lightly draw the stick all over your face (T-zone on forehead and nose, cat whisker-like short strokes 2-3 times on cheeks, and once each on philtrum and chin) 2. Use a tissue to blot and remove excess product, especially where you've applied too much (it tends to clump) 3. After adjusting the amount, blend well with a puff (I've tried various puffs like cushion air puffs, wedge puffs, Daiso puffs, etc., and found that a dry wedge puff works best. Air puffs are not recommended, but they're better than using your hands) If you have dry skin, a damp puff might work well too, as this formula doesn't melt or break down easily... + After trying for a few more days, this method also works well (simplified version): 1. After applying concealer, very lightly tap the foundation all over your face multiple times. (Don't do it like in the ads where they apply once on the forehead, once on the cheeks...) 2. Blend by patting with an air puff. Personally, I found this method quick, easy, and it provided decent coverage. Assuming you're applying a thin layer by lightly patting, you can skip the tissue-blotting step, saving time. However, because the foundation itself is soft, if there's any clumping or areas with too much product, you'll need to blot those areas. If you apply it this way, the skin appearance will be natural and beautiful, and the lasting power will be much better. Despite its small size, I don't recommend carrying it for touch-ups. If you do carry it, I suggest bringing a puff along, but at that point, it might be better to carry a cushion for touch-ups. Personally, I carried the Merrimonde stick foundation + an empty cushion case with just an air puff inside, which I do recommend. It's convenient to dab on and blend while looking in a mirror for touch-ups. Recommended for people who: 1. Want a really good foundation - X 2. Want a good quality, cost-effective road shop foundation - X 3. Love the design and want to buy it but are worried it might be a beautiful but useless product - Go ahead and buy it, it's not that bad 4. Just want an adequate foundation - Yes, this is for you
