My skin was so prone to blemishes...😢 I tried everything, but after using this, I hardly get any breakouts!! 1. Natural-looking color 2. Skin-friendly ingredients 3. Adorable packaging 4. Creamy texture that absorbs well
ConsEverything's great, but there are a few minor drawbacks... 1. No sun protection 2. Attracts dust too easily 3. Lacks coverage
TipSmall but helpful tips!! 1. Use tools (brush, puff) 2. Build a solid skincare base

In my 29 years, I've never found a foundation that suited me (without causing blemishes). However, I'd give the Merrimonde stick foundation 100 points for not triggering any breakouts!
ConsIt's much more matte than I expected. This would be perfect for summer rather than winter. I'm close to shade 22, but use 21, and it's surprisingly light!
TipDuring these dry, cold days, I apply face oil before using a puff to apply the foundation! I love that it doesn't cause any blemishes

The size is about as big as a finger, making it super convenient to carry around. Being a twist-up type, you can use just the amount you need. The ingredients are so good that I can't say much else. While many cosmetics often cause blemishes due to their chemical components, this one seems to be fine.
ConsWhile it applies smoothly, it doesn't spread evenly, resulting in some areas being thicker and others thinner. You might need to apply it to the back of your hand first and then pat it on with a beauty blender. It's slightly matte, so it can look patchy on textured or dry areas. Make sure to apply a hydrating base before using this product.
TipI recommend applying it to the back of your hand first, then using a beauty sponge to pat it on evenly.

Its small size makes it look like a decorative item. Ingredients While my skin isn't super sensitive, I sometimes get acne after applying makeup. With this, I've never experienced any blemishes after use. Longevity The staying power is great. It lasts long and wears beautifully without needing touch-ups. Application & Skin Appearance It applies incredibly thin, light, and smooth. Unlike regular foundations, it feels comfortable without any heaviness. Initially, it feels moisturizing, but after a while, it sets to a slightly matte finish while enhancing skin appearance. Vegan Cosmetics Merrimonde is a vegan brand that doesn't conduct animal testing, and this product is no exception.
ConsCoverage While it evens out skin tone and covers minor imperfections, it doesn't really conceal redness or acne well. If applied incorrectly, redness can appear grayish, and small blemishes are only somewhat covered. Quantity The amount is really small compared to its 25,000 won price tag. Even with the small case, when you fully extend the product, it's about the length of a fingertip? It seems convenient for travel though. Application Method Although it says you can apply it with your fingers, I don't recommend it. Using hands can cause pilling and sliding, reducing longevity and skin appearance. Finding the right application method was really challenging at first. Scent It's fragrance-free, but there's a slight clay-like smell, perhaps from the product's natural ingredients. However, it's not noticeable unless you put it right up to your nose, so it's fine.
TipMake sure to moisturize thoroughly before use. Without a solid hydration base, it can emphasize dead skin cells and separate quickly, so ensure your skin is well-hydrated before applying.

The review is completely unbiased and honest, with no guidelines or restrictions. Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThe Hwahae Testers review is here! Portability & Design: I was shocked by how small it was when I received it! It's about the size of most tints or lipsticks, so I'd give it full marks for portability. The design is also noteworthy - the heart shape is beautifully etched, making it look cute and lovely at first glance. Ingredients: While my skin isn't extremely sensitive, it can be a bit reactive, so I was concerned about blemishes. However, there were no harmful ingredients, and I experienced no skin issues after use. Color: I usually use shade 21, and after much deliberation between shades 1 and 2, I'm glad I chose 2! I prefer a more natural 21 over a bright one, so I really liked the color. If you want a natural 21 or a radiant 23, shade 2 would be perfect. Application: This was my first time using a stick foundation, and it applied more smoothly than I expected - it felt like discovering a whole new world! The application is truly top-notch. Skin Appearance: While it feels moisturizing when applied, it becomes more matte over time. As blemishes and skin texture become more visible, I highly recommend finishing with a concealer. However, if you have a solid skincare base, it can provide a decent skin appearance.
ConsDarkening & Breakdown: There's some darkening, and when it breaks down, it doesn't look pretty at all. Without a solid base, your skin can look terrible... When it breaks down, it emphasizes dead skin cells and causes dryness, making your skin feel tight. This aspect was really disappointing. Price: Considering the price, it's really not worth it. The original price is 26,000 won, but the amount you get is tiny. Given the issues with skin appearance and breakdown, I think some might regret purchasing it at this price point. Coverage: Despite being a foundation, the coverage isn't that great. If you have a lot of blemishes or areas you want to conceal, you might not be satisfied with this foundation alone. You'll definitely need to finish with a concealer. Amount: As I've mentioned before, I think this foundation's biggest drawback is its price and amount. The quantity is about the same as an M*C lipstick. If you use foundation daily, you might finish it within two weeks. The amount is really disappointing for this product. Application Tool: Applying it with your hands is a disaster... It pills, doesn't look good, and I really don't recommend it. Using a puff is much better.
TipMake sure to have a really solid skincare base before applying. Controlling the amount is crucial - apply just a little at a time. Since the coverage isn't great and you'll need to finish with concealer anyway, it's better to apply thin layers for a good skin appearance. If it's not enough, you can always add more, but applying too much at once can be disastrous... And when applying, never use your hands! You must use a firm puff to spread it evenly.

It's super cute. It would be perfect for traveling!! About the size of a lip balm. - Blemishes: While I can generally use most foundations without issues, I had absolutely no blemishes or reactions with this one! - Color: My skin tone is close to 21, maybe around 22. I was worried 1 might be too light, so I got 2, and the color was just right!!
Cons- Dryness: This was my first time trying a stick foundation, and it was drier than I expected. If you don't prep your skin well, it flakes off immediately. - Coverage: I have some acne scars, so I prefer something with decent coverage. Maybe because of the dryness, it didn't cover blemishes as well as I'd hoped. I thought the matte formula would provide good coverage, but it was a bit disappointing. My friend also mentioned it accentuated texture, and it slightly emphasizes pores too. It might not be suitable for those concerned about skin texture. - Design: While it's cute, like other stick products such as lip balms, it tends to get a bit messy around the edges.
TipWith the weather being dry and cold lately, matte formulas might not be the best fit. It's a good idea to focus on a more thorough skincare routine than usual!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsHere's my review as one of The Hwahae Testers: First off, I have super sensitive combination dehydrated skin. My skin is so sensitive that it turns red and breaks out in tiny blemishes at the slightest provocation. ⭐️Ingredients It definitely seems gentle. I've used it for a few days and haven't experienced any breakouts or reactions. It seems to be usable without irritating the skin. ⭐️Application When I first tried it, it was quite cold outside, so the product was almost frozen solid, making application difficult. However, after leaving it indoors for a day, its true texture came through. It applies smoothly for a stick product. It does mattify quickly though. It might be better suited for summer rather than winter use. It feels a bit drying on my skin, unfortunately. ⭐️Staying power It tends to separate easily, which is disappointing. Even though my skin is dry, it's not extremely so, yet the product still lifts easily. The poor staying power made it uncomfortable to use... I even tried applying it over a thorough skincare routine, but I don't think I'll be able to use it in winter. It might be okay for summer use. ⭐️Color The color is nice - not too light. I have fairly light skin, but I don't like products that go on too white, and shade 23 is too dark for me. I usually mix shades to match my complexion, but with this, I can achieve my desired skin tone using just this product. ⭐️Coverage The coverage seems quite low. It would be good for those with clear skin. I thought it might have more coverage being a stick foundation, but it applies quite thinly. It's not really suitable for thick application either, so you'll probably need to use a concealer with it. Overall, after trying it out, I think it would be good for those with clear skin who aren't too dry and want a light application. If you need more coverage, a separate concealer is a must. Since it dries out and separates quickly, it might be better for summer than winter use. There are also contouring shades available, which might work better for contouring purposes. However, it is quite pricey for its size.
ConsThe disappointing aspect is that it's too small. While the ingredients are good and it looks cute, the size is very small compared to the price, which is unfortunate. It seems like it won't last long. At 26,000 won, it's really mini-sized. I wish it was a bit more moisturizing. It's fine during application, but it dries out quickly, so if you have even slightly dry skin, it might not work for you.
TipYou really need to apply it very thinly over a thorough skincare routine. Especially for those with dry skin, it might be better not to use it in winter. It breaks down easily if you don't have a solid skincare base.

That's why I always prioritize ingredients and never use products with harmful components. I have combination dehydrated skin, so even slightly drying products make my skin feel tight. Ingredients: The ingredients are so gentle that even my super sensitive skin had no issues! Thanks to the good formulation, I didn't experience any blemishes after use. Design: I was shocked when I first received it - it's tiny, about the size of my pinky finger. But the case is adorable with its heart shape. When I carried it around, people were very curious about it. It seems like a trendy item! Amount: It might last about a month. I've used it a few times and it's already diminishing quickly. If applied very thinly, it might last two months, but with normal use, it'll run out fast. Color: I usually use shade 23 for foundations to avoid a white cast. I was going to choose shade 3 for this product but it looked too dark, so I went with 2 - good choice! The color isn't too dark or too light, it matches my complexion perfectly. It's a versatile shade that would suit many. Application: This was my first time trying a powder foundation, and I was surprised by how smoothly it applies. The absorption is good. Skin appearance: It goes on dewy at first but quickly becomes matte, so it doesn't give a flawless finish and blemishes show through. You'll need to use concealer after. Applying with fingers leaves marks, so a puff is necessary. Darkening & Breakdown: It darkens a bit over time. After a few hours, it emphasizes dead skin cells, feels dry, and breaks down unattractively, making me want to remove my makeup quickly. The next day, I applied it more thinly over a solid base, which worked better. Thin application seems key.
ConsPrice: At 26,000 won, it feels expensive for its small size. It would be more reasonable at around 15,000 won, but 26,000 won feels a bit steep. Puff: I wish it came with a puff. It's hard to get a good finish applying with fingers, so it would be great if MaryMond developed a perfectly matching puff to include in the set. That would make it much more user-friendly. Coverage: The coverage isn't great for a foundation. It actually emphasizes blemishes and uneven texture, which is disappointing. Using concealer is a must.
TipMake sure to apply a solid base and use a puff for the best skin appearance! Just slapping it on with your fingers is a disaster... You might look in the mirror later and wonder what happened to your skin. Also, use just a small amount and finish with concealer. If you try to get full coverage from the foundation alone, you'll use a ton of product and it might not even last two weeks. The amount is really too small. It's about the size of a lipstick, so it's super convenient to carry around. The case is so cute that it becomes a trendy item when you take it out!

I love that this foundation works for both warm and cool tones. My skin is quite fair, so I usually go for the lightest shade 21, but even shade 2 in this stick foundation isn't too dark! Surprisingly, this stick foundation didn't cause any blemishes, which often happen when I switch cosmetics. That's a testament to how gentle it is, right? It does a great job covering the redness around my nose and the flushing I get in cold weather. Despite its good coverage, it doesn't feel heavy or sticky. Instead, it leaves a lightweight, matte finish.
ConsWhen you try to blend it after applying, it doesn't spread well and tends to clump and separate. It also emphasizes dead skin cells! Not recommended for dry skin - you need to apply a solid skincare base first. It's creamier than most stick foundations, which causes the product to get squished inside the tube when you apply it directly to your skin. The application isn't smooth, which is disappointing. Maybe the matte finish affects its smoothness? Also, not worth it for the price! The amount you get is very small compared to the cost. The actual product height is only about two finger-widths long.
TipTry applying the stick foundation with a cushion puff, patting it onto your skin. This prevents clumping! Make sure to apply a thorough skincare base first.

(I didn't experience any blemishes.) The slightly brightening shade 21 is nice. Its small, convenient size makes touch-ups easy. The design might be polarizing - it has a toy-like feel that some might find cute and others childish. It feels like a great gift for a daughter. (I actually gave mine to my daughter ^^) While the brand seems to focus on cute marketing with heart shapes, they could emphasize the quality ingredients more. It's rare to find a base product with such good ingredients, so I'm satisfied with the formulation.
ConsThe first photo shows the product right after opening the new item. I was surprised to see the surface looking clumped and smeared, despite being brand new. Although the ingredients are good, for some reason it slightly sits on top of my skin... It's a shame. It seems to work well for my daughter in her 20s though. Also, when I emptied out the product, the second photo shows how small the amount really is. Compared to its original price, the quantity feels like a sample size that will run out quickly.
TipFor those with dry skin who find it doesn't absorb well, try applying an oil first before using this product. While I'm satisfied with the ingredients, personally, I'm quite disappointed with the user experience, design, and value for money. It's an unfamiliar brand, and I was curious because of the good ingredients. I'm glad I got to try it through The Hwahae Testers. It's hard to find products with both good ingredients and a nice user experience.
