However, lately, due to prolonged mask-wearing, I've developed redness and irritation on my skin even without makeup. Since the compact alone wasn't enough to cover these marks, I decided to try this cushion for better coverage. 1. It definitely covers large pores around the nose well, and even without a concealer, it hides blemishes on the chin and cheeks. I'm very satisfied with its coverage! 2. While it looks a bit white when first applied, after a short while, it interacts with the skin's natural oils to create a dewy, glass skin effect, which I love! 3. It feels light on the face, not heavy or cakey at all! Even when I furrow my brow, it doesn't feel tight around the nasolabial folds or forehead. There's no sensation of heaviness!
Cons1. The product transfers too easily... It comes off on my mask, and when I answer phone calls, it gets all over the screen. I can't even press my phone to my face. Even lightly scratching an itch with my fingernail leaves a mark... Although I can pat it out with my fingers, it's so prone to scratches that I find myself checking the mirror too often. 2. Personally, I experienced blemishes after use... After wearing the cushion for 6 hours and removing my makeup, I noticed some small white bumps on my chin, around my nasolabial folds, and near my eyes. I really like this cushion, so when I first used it two weeks ago and got these bumps, I hoped it wasn't the cause. I stopped using it, but tried again today, and the bumps appeared again... I've never had these white bumps before, only occasional red pimples. Looking at it now, I see there are quite a few ingredients to be cautious about.

Apologies for the late review. My skin type is combination - oily T-zone and dry U-zone, prone to small blemishes. Coverage: ⭐⭐⭐ It doesn't fully cover the blemish scars on my U-zone. You'll need to touch up with concealer for a flawless finish. It's suitable for those who prefer a natural look, but might not be enough if you want full coverage. Adherence: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It adheres well to the skin! I applied it after my skincare routine (toner-serum-emulsion-sunscreen-cushion), and it stayed put without breaking down. I love the soft, matte finish it gives. Application: ⭐⭐⭐ The puff is great, making application smooth. Patting it on in two layers gives a clean, even finish.
ConsPerhaps due to my combination dehydrated skin, I noticed some lifting and breakdown after a while. Touch-ups only made it worse - I had to completely remove and reapply those areas for a clean look. The shade was a bit dark for my pale, redness-prone cheeks. There's also some darkening as time passes.
TipThis cushion has a dry, matte formula. For best results, make sure your skin is well-hydrated and moisturized before application for a flawless finish!

While I don't have acne, I do have some dark spots and uneven pigmentation. My skin is becoming more complex - dry around the mouth, oily in the T-zone, and generally combination dehydrated with a fussy temperament. I prefer a natural, glowing complexion, so I'm meticulous with my skincare routine. I typically use sunscreen and a light foundation (Estée Lauder Futurist) for my morning makeup. Recently, with the heat and mask-wearing, I've been searching for a cushion compact to touch up my makeup in the evening. That's when I discovered this Taping Cover Cushion. 3.85 stars! (That's high praise from me) First off, the puff's elasticity and the product's adherence are exceptional. When used for touch-ups on nearly-faded foundation and oily skin, a small amount spreads thinly and sets beautifully. It seems to have a semi-matte finish. Amazingly, there's no caking or settling into pores. I love how it feels light, hydrating, and adheres well after a solid skincare base. While I wasn't expecting much coverage, it actually provides good coverage. The longevity is moderate.
ConsSome people mention the product pilling, but that's likely due to improper skincare prep and using too much product. Since it's not a fluid essence type, applying it roughly will naturally cause pilling. That's probably why it adheres so well. As someone who usually uses shade 25, the Petal shade was too light for all-over application. I used it for T-zone touch-ups, but the excellent adherence makes me want to try other shades.
TipUse the right amount and prep your skin well with a solid skincare routine.

It comes with a refill, so it seems like you can use it for a long time after buying it once. I have oily skin, but even after some time, it didn't clump much and looked natural. I'm planning to keep purchasing and using it in the future!
ConsI developed some blemishes, but I'm not sure if it's because of this product or because of wearing a mask. Other than that, I didn't have any particular complaints!
TipSince I have rather large pores, I applied primer before the cushion foundation, and it went on smoothly without any patchiness!

Opening it for the first time and touching the puff, I'm in love again. It's unbelievably soft - so much so that I'd buy the puff separately if I could. The softness translates to a smooth, stable application that feels weightless on the skin. Shade 22 Petal is a bright yet natural color that illuminates. At first, I thought it might be too light, but after a short while, it creates a natural glow. However, it might be challenging for darker skin tones. Using the included puff with a gentle pressing motion, you can achieve a light makeup look in one go. It covers about 80% of red acne marks right after application, living up to its 'cover' claim. True to its 'moist' name, it's incredibly hydrating. The scent is like rose petals? Espoir always reminds me of roses and femininity... anyway, the fragrance is lovely! I'd recommend this for those with good skin, no blemishes, and dry skin. If you have beautiful skin that gets dry even in summer, buy this now. And again. No skin tightness at all.
ConsFor darker skin tones, Espoir offers a wide range of shades, so choose carefully. Petal is a no-go for darker skin. Even in winter, after wearing it for a while, the dreaded 'oil slick' appears on the nose and forehead. The Taping Cover Moist Cushion is indeed very hydrating and not drying, which is great, but... in this summer weather, stepping outside for just 30 minutes leads to excessive shine. Indoors it's a bit better, but outdoors in the June midday sun, it was shocking. Despite the good puff and smooth application, you'll need to set it with powder. The lightweight formula means it can leave marks during application with the included puff, so be gentle when applying powder. With mandatory mask-wearing due to COVID-19, you'll need to touch up the mask marks with your Espoir before starting conversations. You'll see your makeup transfer onto the mask quite noticeably. Of course, setting with powder helps a bit.
TipI think its strengths are the hydrating moisture, adherence, and coverage. Even if you have oily skin, Espoir fans might want to try it with powder. It's best to apply makeup after your skincare has fully absorbed, as this product is quite hydrating. The excellent puff allows for a flawless finish with a patting motion. (This doesn't mean use more product, but rather distribute a moderate amount and pat repeatedly for best results.) Using a sun stick before this product doesn't seem to make oil appear faster. Highly recommended for those with dry skin. Apart from that, I love everything about it.

Definitely for those who love hydration! Be careful when first pumping it out as a lot comes out. It feels semi-matte when first applied, but as time passes, oils come through so there's no tightness. I kept patting it on thinly with the puff. It gives a natural complexion correction, but I didn't feel it had amazing coverage. It doesn't settle into wrinkles too badly. Staying power... is a bit low, unfortunately. It's #3 Petal, but feels almost like a 22 shade - on the brighter side. The water drop puff is extremely bouncy and firm!
ConsThe coverage is a bit disappointing. I guess it's unavoidable that when it's hydrating and thin, the coverage suffers. The ingredients aren't great either.
TipFor base makeup, it's all about that firm hydration. Keep patting with the puff continuously. The more you pat, the more of an Inner Glow seems to come through. It doesn't break down easily.

I've always used shade 21 foundation, but through The Hwahae Testers event, I tried shade 23 for the first time, and it was a perfect match for my skin tone! As a result, the coverage felt more natural and effective! Currently, I have a lot of blemishes due to wearing masks, but this cushion naturally concealed most of my imperfections! 2. On days when I use heavy foundations, I often can't wait to wash my face. However, this cushion applies thinly, so it doesn't feel too suffocating on the skin. Of course, there's still a slight feeling of having something on, but it's minimal! 3. While I'm not extremely dry-skinned, I do lean towards the dry side. I was pleased that even after wearing this cushion for hours, my skin didn't feel dehydrated! There are a few ingredients to be cautious of, but even with my sensitive skin, I didn't experience any irritation! 4. After using liquid foundations for about 3 years, it's great to return to a cushion. It's convenient and effective as always!
ConsThese days, we're always wearing masks due to COVID, so it's inevitable that the product transfers onto the mask! But I think this would happen with other cushions too, so I won't count that as a negative. However, it does leave mask imprints on the skin! Even with a thin application, you can see clear marks from the mask's stitching pattern. I had to pat it vigorously with my fingers to blend it out. I think the adherence could be a bit better!
TipFor those who usually use shade 21 but want to match their natural skin tone rather than going for a brighter look, trying shade 23 might not be a bad idea! However, if you prefer a slightly brighter complexion, sticking with shade 21 would be better!

Coverage: The coverage is excellent! My face is quite red and blotchy due to acne and acne scars. However, even a small amount covers the scars beautifully, and it effectively neutralizes the redness of inflamed acne. While it doesn't perfectly conceal textured or raised blemishes, I'm satisfied considering this limitation. 2. Color: I usually prefer a very natural makeup look, so I typically use shades 22-23. This shade seems slightly lighter than what I normally use. It has a slightly grayish undertone, which gives a brightening effect. I was worried about darkening, but fortunately, there was none. 3. Glow: I generally like a slightly dewy skin finish. When I tested it at home on a day off, it gave just the right amount of natural glow that I love - exactly my style! However, with the current hot weather and mask-wearing, a glowy finish isn't really practical. So I lightly dust some powder over it, and I think this cushion works even better with powder! I'll mention this in the cons, but the staying power isn't the best. I apply it evenly with a soft brush, tap off the excess, and then lightly pat it on. This also helps reduce transfer onto masks! 4. Touch-ups: The slightly dewy texture makes it perfect for touch-ups. The puff has a teardrop shape, which is great for covering around the nose and mouth! It's soft and bouncy, allowing you to spread a thin, even layer with just a small amount.
Cons1. Longevity: After about 4 hours, it starts to settle into the pores around the nose. It creases less in the eye and smile lines, but it does still crease somewhat. While no cushion is completely crease-proof, I've listed this as a con because the wear time seems relatively short. On the bright side, it doesn't emphasize pores! This cushion seems more suitable for spring and fall rather than summer.
TipWhen covering pores, try gently rolling and pressing the puff for better coverage. For touch-ups, if you have a cleansing pad, wipe the area first before reapplying the cushion. If you don't have one, lightly wipe areas like the sides of your nose, forehead, and T-zone with a damp tissue. Then, slightly dampen the puff and pat the product on - this greatly improves coverage!

As someone who's always on the hunt for the perfect cushion, I found this one to be so satisfactory that I could use it consistently without getting bored. The color matched my complexion perfectly, which was a pleasant surprise. Just one dab of the product was enough to cover my entire face, showing how generous the amount is. Even after wearing a mask all day, when I took it off, the makeup blended so seamlessly with my skin tone that it was hard to tell where the makeup had worn off. It looked incredibly natural. Thanks to this product, I've cut my morning routine by over ten minutes. Looking at the photo, you can see there's no visible line where I didn't apply it on my neck. It also demonstrates a decent level of coverage.
ConsOn extremely hot days, due to the nature of cushion products, there was some pilling. By the afternoon, I definitely noticed some caking around the nose area.
TipI swapped out the included puff for my own favorite. If you have a puff you love, switching it out could be a great tip!

First off, I usually use Make Up For Ever UHD Foundation in R210 and prefer a slightly brighter complexion than shade 21 :) Color: Since I prefer a brighter skin tone than 21, it felt quite dark when I first applied it. However, after a little while, I noticed it became more radiant than when I first put it on, and the overall tone matched well with my neck, creating a natural look! Texture: It has a moisturizing, fluid texture that adheres well to the puff and applies smoothly. Skin Appearance: I was initially worried it might be too dewy since it's called 'Moist', but it truly adheres to the skin like tape! It's not matte, but it doesn't give an overly glassy look either. Instead, it creates a porcelain-like skin with just the right amount of glow. The skin finish is really beautiful! As time passes, it becomes slightly semi-matte, feeling powdery on the outside while maintaining moisture inside, which suited me perfectly. Coverage: While the coverage isn't extremely high, it seems sufficient to conceal some redness. I think it would be great for those who prefer natural-looking coverage!
ConsCushion Transfer: There's quite a bit of product transfer onto the cushion initially. It might apply more beautifully if you use a small amount and blend it over your face! Color: As mentioned earlier, those who were looking for a shade lighter than 21 or even brighter might find it dark at first!
TipWhile the shade might be a bit disappointing, I fell in love with how this product creates a skin finish with just the right amount of moisture and adherence.
