It's quite disappointing.
ConsThere are so many drawbacks, it's overwhelming. I bought this because everyone raved about Espoir, but it clings to all my dead skin cells. Even with meticulous skincare, it starts to separate after about 10 minutes. Absolutely avoid using this in winter!
TipThis was just my personal experience, so it might work well for others! For context, I have sensitive, acne-prone, dry skin.

It's perfect for those who find 23 too dark and 21 too light. Honestly though, with cushions being so standardized these days, it's hard to find standout features beyond the color.
ConsFirst off, I have combination dehydrated skin. My T-zone gets oily, but the rest of my face tends to be dry. Initially, this cushion applies with a dewy, glowing finish. However, after a while, it becomes extremely dry - almost as matte as any matte product out there. It's not great for touch-ups either. It doesn't adhere well and dries out quickly. Also, while I appreciate the slim case, it opens too easily for my liking. And if you use a slightly plumper puff, the case won't close properly due to its thinness.

It applies smoothly and layers well with other products.
ConsUnfortunately, it lacks staying power and the adherence is poor. When used with sunscreen, it's a recipe for whiteheads galore.

While I don't have acne, I do have some dark spots and uneven pigmentation. My skin is becoming more complex - dry around the mouth, oily in the T-zone, and generally combination dehydrated with a fussy temperament. I prefer a natural, glowing complexion, so I'm meticulous with my skincare routine. I typically use sunscreen and a light foundation (Estée Lauder Futurist) for my morning makeup. Recently, with the heat and mask-wearing, I've been searching for a cushion compact to touch up my makeup in the evening. That's when I discovered this Taping Cover Cushion. 3.85 stars! (That's high praise from me) First off, the puff's elasticity and the product's adherence are exceptional. When used for touch-ups on nearly-faded foundation and oily skin, a small amount spreads thinly and sets beautifully. It seems to have a semi-matte finish. Amazingly, there's no caking or settling into pores. I love how it feels light, hydrating, and adheres well after a solid skincare base. While I wasn't expecting much coverage, it actually provides good coverage. The longevity is moderate.
ConsSome people mention the product pilling, but that's likely due to improper skincare prep and using too much product. Since it's not a fluid essence type, applying it roughly will naturally cause pilling. That's probably why it adheres so well. As someone who usually uses shade 25, the Petal shade was too light for all-over application. I used it for T-zone touch-ups, but the excellent adherence makes me want to try other shades.
TipUse the right amount and prep your skin well with a solid skincare routine.

My skin is so sensitive that even the slightest friction from a mask can cause redness. First off, the case is absolutely gorgeous and lightweight - big plus! The coverage is about 4.3 out of 5. When I first applied it, I was surprised by how powdery it felt, but then wow! It's amazing. It covers small scars, redness, and minor blemishes. I'm totally satisfied even without using foundation or base makeup. The actual coverage is even better than in photos (taken with the iPhone's default camera).
ConsUnless you touch up, it might settle into the creases around your nose and look slightly cakey. But honestly, that's unavoidable without touch-ups. I'm so satisfied that I can't even consider this a real drawback...
TipI've been using Espoir Water Splash Sun Cream before this cushion, and it seems to enhance the glow effect and improve the cushion's adherence. I can't help but sing praises for Espoir!

It's seriously stunning! Plus, the compact is slim and lightweight, making it super convenient to carry around. • Puff: This is the softest puff I've ever touched - I can't stop playing with it! The pointed tip allows for precise application. • Application: It applies smoothly, leaving the skin feeling moisturized and firm. The glow it gives is incredibly beautiful. While it covered my pitted scars, it didn't quite conceal my acne scars. • Longevity: As time passed, it became more noticeable. Given it's summer and I sweat a lot, plus wearing a mask, I found it had worn off considerably when I checked later. I'd recommend using this in fall & winter. Overall: While generally satisfactory and good, I probably wouldn't purchase it with my own money. However, the natural glow it gives is truly beautiful.
Cons• It tended to separate when my skin condition was poor. • While I usually experience some settling around my nose with any makeup, this product settled more noticeably regardless of when I applied it. • I have acne pigmentation scars, and it didn't cover them well. As someone who prioritizes coverage, I found this disappointing. • It transferred quite a bit onto my mask, so keep that in mind. • The value for money is somewhat lacking.
Tip• It adheres much better if you have a solid skincare routine as a base. • A little goes a long way, so I recommend pressing gently when applying to avoid dispensing too much product.

Hydration: It's so moisturizing! My face has a beautiful glow~ I've even been told my face looks radiant haha... Coverage: While it's not extremely high coverage, it does a decent job. It covers all the pores between my nose and cheekbones! Longevity: The staying power isn't extraordinary, but it's decent. However, it breaks down faster in oily areas and some drier spots. It seems to fade most noticeably around the sides of my nose. Other areas last longer if I don't touch them! Color: The color matched my skin perfectly, giving my complexion a natural glow and making my skin look beautiful. ✨ I think it really makes your skin look gorgeous! If you're hoping for your skin to look extra beautiful today, I'd recommend this cushion!
ConsIn my opinion, this cushion requires some skill to use. If you don't control the amount well, it can look cakey... And if you press too hard, it leaves cushion marks... It seems to settle into wrinkles quite a bit, like smile lines or eyelid creases. Also, the application isn't smooth on the eyelids - you can see the particles, if that makes sense... Anyway, there's a bit of that. If you apply it while it's cakey, it looks even more cakey. It feels moisturizing at first, but over time it can feel a bit tight, especially in drier areas - though this might vary from person to person. I find that this cushion doesn't cover well around my nose area. It tends to look cakey and break down easily there... Other areas are fine though. This might differ for everyone.
TipControl the amount carefully! Applying too much can look really unflattering, so it's better to build it up gradually in thin layers.

I have very oily skin that rarely feels dry except right after washing, with occasional large blemishes and some hyperpigmentation. First off, I love the slim and pretty case! The included puff has a nice bouncy texture - less squishy than Peripera's mochi puff, but bouncier than a standard cushion puff. I'm a fan of bouncy puffs, so I liked this one too. I was worried shade #3 might be too dark, but it was actually perfect - similar to Clio's #3 Linen. The coverage is great! Even though I applied it thinly due to summer and mask-wearing, it covered well without needing much product. It evened out my skin tone, covering light scars and small blemishes. I did use concealer for larger dark spots. Since it's a moisturizing formula, I expected less coverage, but it struck a nice balance - hydrating without being too dewy or shiny. Oily skin types might need powder in summer though. Like most moisturizing cushions, it gives a beautiful skin finish! It made my textured skin look quite smooth upon application.
ConsAs I have oily skin, I need to use powder, which somewhat diminishes this cushion's strengths of hydration and smooth skin appearance. Although it's a moisturizing cushion, it doesn't work well for touch-ups. It doesn't blend nicely with an already broken-down base and tends to sit on top of the skin.
TipFor those with oily skin, this might be perfect for late fall to winter when it's cold. I'll probably stick to my matte foundation with a hydrating cushion for touch-ups this summer, and bring this out again when the weather cools down.

I've always used shade 21 foundation, but through The Hwahae Testers event, I tried shade 23 for the first time, and it was a perfect match for my skin tone! As a result, the coverage felt more natural and effective! Currently, I have a lot of blemishes due to wearing masks, but this cushion naturally concealed most of my imperfections! 2. On days when I use heavy foundations, I often can't wait to wash my face. However, this cushion applies thinly, so it doesn't feel too suffocating on the skin. Of course, there's still a slight feeling of having something on, but it's minimal! 3. While I'm not extremely dry-skinned, I do lean towards the dry side. I was pleased that even after wearing this cushion for hours, my skin didn't feel dehydrated! There are a few ingredients to be cautious of, but even with my sensitive skin, I didn't experience any irritation! 4. After using liquid foundations for about 3 years, it's great to return to a cushion. It's convenient and effective as always!
ConsThese days, we're always wearing masks due to COVID, so it's inevitable that the product transfers onto the mask! But I think this would happen with other cushions too, so I won't count that as a negative. However, it does leave mask imprints on the skin! Even with a thin application, you can see clear marks from the mask's stitching pattern. I had to pat it vigorously with my fingers to blend it out. I think the adherence could be a bit better!
TipFor those who usually use shade 21 but want to match their natural skin tone rather than going for a brighter look, trying shade 23 might not be a bad idea! However, if you prefer a slightly brighter complexion, sticking with shade 21 would be better!

First, I want to disclose that until a few years ago, I had oily skin, but somehow it turned into extremely dry skin. Now, even in summer, I can't live without Physiogel cream or facial oils! I rarely get blemishes and don't have many dark spots. 1. Evening out skin tone I loved how it brightened and evened out my complexion beautifully. It really smoothed out my skin tone nicely. 2. Coverage While it might not provide full coverage for every pore or blemish, it does a pretty good job at concealing most imperfections. 3. Staying power I wore it all day, and there was absolutely no darkening. It maintained that soft, radiant look!
Cons1. Not suitable for dry skin Perhaps because of my extremely dry skin, even after using a sheet mask the night before and thoroughly moisturizing in the morning, it still looked a bit patchy, which was disappointing. The texture itself isn't matte, but... I think it would work better for oily or combination skin types.
