  I've already emptied a big bottle and repurchased! Last summer, when my skin suddenly flared up, this Houttuynia Cordata toner quickly calmed it down. I bought unbleached cotton pads from Daiso and used them to apply the toner like a skin pack for about 5 minutes each day until my skin settled. It really worked fast to soothe my blemishes.

  Cons

  Interestingly, I found that using it too frequently reduced its effectiveness. There's actually advice out there suggesting not to overuse Houttuynia Cordata or Centella Asiatica products.

  Tip

  This product only works well for those whose skin agrees with it. Like other herbal oils or aloe, natural ingredients only suit certain skin types. Make sure to patch test first. I don't recommend persisting if it doesn't suit you initially, hoping it'll get better. If it does suit your skin, you'll notice a calming effect within just one day.

  Pros

  I soak cotton pads generously with this toner and use it as an absorption pad every morning and evening after cleansing! My skin was a mess, with purulent acne and whiteheads all over my face, but after using this as an absorption pad, the soothing effect is instant and no joke. I wish I could keep it on all day! I've already finished three bottles. It's non-irritating and leaves a clean finish.

  Using it daily makes even 300ml feel like it's not enough... While there's nothing particularly disappointing, apart from the immediate soothing effect, I don't feel like it actually helps reduce blemishes.

  I originally used this brand's centella extract, but when I went to repurchase, I saw the houttuynia cordata was on sale as a bundle, so I decided to try it! My skin was irritated and tingling due to hormonal issues, but it's improved a lot. My boyfriend, who also has super sensitive skin, uses it too and says it's good! I had really red, bumpy skin with blemishes popping up, but they've calmed down significantly. I think the One Thing brand toners are definitely worth buying and trusting!

  There's nothing particularly bad! I thought it might be a bit pricey, but if you buy it during a sale, it seems to have better value for money than other products.

  Tip

  I used to use an exfoliating toner, but I felt bad wasting even the bit left on the cotton pad. So I put it in an empty mist bottle, and it's much more convenient this way! It's great for spraying whenever my skin feels hot or irritated.
