Tried 2 samples on Feb 26, 2022. The scent is pleasant. Being slightly acidic, it makes the skin feel softer. It doesn't remove excess oil effectively. Tea tree seems to disagree with my skin. I developed blemishes on my cheeks. Considering the tea tree modeling mask worked well for me, I wonder if it's the high concentration or the tea tree oil that doesn't suit me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 5, 2020
I couldn't find any positives as it caused acne breakouts when I used it. It feels slippery and doesn't cleanse effectively. The amount seems insufficient. It even causes inflammatory acne. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 19, 2020
I bought this product when my face was going crazy with blemishes popping up everywhere. It contains tea tree extract, which is known for its soothing properties, so I thought it might help with my skin issues. While it was a bit too light and drying for me in winter, I plan to use it again in summer. I actually finished the whole bottle! It's not that the product is bad, but it's more suitable for oily, acne-prone skin types. The texture is like an aloe gel, and it doesn't create a thick lather. Instead, it produces a very thin foam with a tea tree scent while cleansing effectively. It was a bit drying for my skin. I was foolish to only use acne products just because I had a lot of blemishes. Now I focus solely on soothing and hydrating products, mostly using ones for dry skin. This product seems better suited for summer use. This product would be perfect for those with excess oil production who wear light makeup. It's ideal for use during the summer months. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 25, 2019
This was truly my holy grail product until its recent reformulation. They changed the ingredients and sold it without any notice. I didn't realize until recently when I noticed a terrible smell and blemishes appearing. Upon investigation, I found out they had altered the formula. What a letdown... I'm writing this for those who might be wondering, 'Why am I suddenly getting blemishes?' without realizing the product has been reformulated. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 21, 2019
Before using it, I was excited about the tea tree ingredient, hoping it would calm my blemishes. That anticipation was the best part. (I'm rambling to meet the 20-character minimum!) It causes blemishes. Maybe tea tree doesn't agree with me? When I switched to a different product, the blemishes disappeared. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 21, 2019
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any positives for me... This question seems pointless in my case. Using this alone caused my skin to completely break out. It seems my skin just doesn't agree with this product... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 25, 2019
It's quite moisturizing and good value for money. I like that it's mildly acidic. After using it for about a month, I keep getting blemishes. Tiny bumps are appearing everywhere. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 9, 2019
Texture: This was my first time using a low pH cleanser, and I absolutely loved the cooling sensation when it touched my skin! It gave me that 'my skin's about to be so clean' feeling. Cleansing effectiveness: This could be seen as both a pro and a con, but the slippery texture made it difficult to rinse off. The residue left behind caused some serious blemishes for me. Irritation: While the initial cooling sensation was nice, it stung quite badly when it touched areas with existing blemishes. Scent: Rather than smelling like green tea, the product I received had a musty odor that made me wonder if there was an issue. However, since I don't prioritize fragrance, it wasn't a big deal for me. If you have super sensitive skin like me, you might experience some tingling or irritation. I'd recommend trying a sample first or being cautious when purchasing. I ended up having to visit a dermatologist and went through quite an ordeal. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 19, 2018
It's affordable. The scent is pleasant. The ingredients seem to be on the gentler side. I thought it was supposed to be good for acne-prone skin due to its low pH... After using it for about two months, I finally figured out why my skin has been so bad lately... It was this product. My entire face broke out with tiny bumps and inflamed blemishes like crazy. You're going in the trash... goodbye. (I'm not allergic to tea tree at all, so I'm not sure which ingredient caused this.) I need to go back to using Avène Cleanance. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 30, 2018
It's not irritating. However, I wouldn't personally recommend it for acne-prone or seborrheic skin. I used about two-thirds of the product on my acne-prone, seborrheic skin. It felt slippery, and just because it's slightly acidic doesn't mean it's good for everyone. It seems what works best depends on your individual skin type. I have absolutely no intention of repurchasing. It left behind small, bumpy blemishes. Sidmool products might have some initial effect on inflammatory acne, but later they tend to make the skin overly dry and sensitive. I used to use Sidmool ampoules as well, but now I'm not using any of their products. It doesn't seem beneficial for long-term use. I hope it works well for those who find it suitable.
