I've been using this exclusively as my second cleanser for nearly a decade Nothing really. If I had to nitpick, it's a bit runny, making it slightly trickier to lather up with hands compared to other formulas Add a little water to a bubble maker and squeeze once. For combination dehydrated skin, when it's dry (lacking moisture, not oil), it produces more oil. Combination dehydrated skin = compromised barrier, so avoid harsh cleansing. Harsh cleansing damages skin and increases oil production. Dead skin cells are precious - don't exfoliate! Lots of dead skin cells? It means 'I'm hurting, I'm dry, I'm in the process of healing.' Exfoliating = picking scabs, preventing skin regeneration, and accelerating aging - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 19, 2024
Gentle enough to use as a morning cleanser, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after use. Instead, it feels smooth and comfortable. The cleansing effectiveness is pretty good too, which is why I'm repurchasing. The watery texture and small volume mean it runs out faster than expected, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 16, 2023
Dr. Troub Cleansing Milk works great as a second cleanser. Use about 1.5 pumps, lather well, and focus on areas with more sebum production like the nose and chin to help control oiliness. True to its name as a mild cleanser, it's gentle enough for oily skin types who find water-only cleansing in the morning insufficient. Its cleansing effectiveness isn't exceptional, so it may not completely eliminate excess sebum. For occasional deep cleansing, I switch to Banila Co. BHA Cleanser or Toun28 Tea Tree Soap. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 21, 2022
Great as a second cleanser. Also works well as a morning face wash instead of soap. My 11-year-old daughter with acne uses it too. It's gentle enough for a child's skin and works well. While it doesn't dramatically clear up acne, it doesn't seem to make breakouts worse or cause new blemishes. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAug 8, 2021
I've been using this for my morning cleanse for 5 years now! It's a reliable, no-fuss option that gets the job done. When used as a second cleanse, it doesn't give that squeaky-clean feeling of all makeup being completely removed. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinDec 15, 2020
After using 5 bottles, here's my review! I use it as a second cleanser in the evening after cleansing oil, and alone in the morning. Being a gel type, it's less irritating and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. It cleanses gently while leaving the skin refreshed, and also helps reduce excess oil production. It seems perfect for combination dehydrated skin. I wouldn't recommend this to those who prefer a squeaky-clean finish after cleansing. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the price. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 21, 2020
It's perfect for morning cleansing! My skin feels smooth and supple after washing, without any tightness. It's great for light cleansing, but for heavy makeup, you'll need to double cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 27, 2020
I initially received this product by mistake when ordering a different cleanser, but it unexpectedly became my go-to. The tea tree scent that hits you as soon as you squeeze it out is lovely. While it might not be strong enough as a second-step cleanser, I use it after my cleansing water. It's also great as a morning cleanser. Super gentle and effective. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. I just wish it came in a larger size. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 15, 2020
This is seriously amazing! It has a high tea tree content and it's perfect as a morning cleanser. Nothing bad to say at all! It's just too good. Great price, great ingredients - it's the best! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 20, 2020
This is an excellent cleanser for morning use. I loved the cooling effect it provides! As someone with acne-prone skin, I've always found tea tree products to have a soothing effect. While skin types vary, if tea tree works well for you, I'd recommend this even for blemish-prone skin! The downside is that you can't expect strong cleansing effectiveness. Also, even after rinsing, it feels like there's still a slippery lather, so I didn't find myself reaching for it very often.
