Super gentle on the skin. I've gone through at least 5 bottles, so I've used it a lot. Despite being low pH, it still had quite good cleansing effectiveness. While using this, I experienced small bumps, uneven texture, excess sebum, and clogged pores on my nose. I kept using it without suspecting the cleansing foam. Being low pH, it seems unable to remove sebum effectively. Even with vigorous rubbing, it doesn't work. After washing, if I lightly scratch my forehead, sebum comes right out. I thought I just had overactive sebum production, so I focused intensely on exfoliation, BHA/AHA masks, and pore cleansing. But it turns out the cleansing foam wasn't cleaning out the sebum at all. When I switched to a different foam cleanser, all these issues cleared up completely. If you have oily skin, absolutely do not use this - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 1, 2022
It's gentle and works well for oily skin, leaving it moisturized without any greasy shine. I'm really enjoying using it. The cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly strong. For most suncare products, it's essential to follow up with a second cleanse using a milk cleanser or oil. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 5, 2020
I couldn't find any positives as it caused acne breakouts when I used it. It feels slippery and doesn't cleanse effectively. The amount seems insufficient. It even causes inflammatory acne. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJun 4, 2020
I found this product pleasant to use overall. Being a fan of herbal scents, I enjoyed the fragrance. It left my skin feeling clean and healthy without being as intense as a makeup cleanser. The cleansing power is just right, making it suitable for those with oily skin too. There's no noticeable tightness or irritation, so I'd recommend it for those with acne-prone skin! The cleansing effectiveness is slightly weak - it's not suitable as a makeup remover. Also, considering the price, the quantity is a bit on the small side. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 6, 2020
My skin is oily but tends to dry out quickly after cleansing. While I don't have many large blemishes, I do have a lot of small bumps and excess sebum production. This product was recommended by Sidmool specifically for my skin type. Interestingly, it's quite thin for a cleanser and doesn't foam up much. Rather than giving a deep scrubbing feel like a foam cleanser, it seems to remove impurities while leaving some moisture on the skin. I appreciate its gentle nature. It might not be sufficient for removing makeup in the evening. The cleansing action feels very light, so on days when I wear makeup, it doesn't give me that thoroughly cleansed feeling I'm after. Also, I'm not sure if it's helping with my small bumps. It doesn't seem to have much effect on them. It's especially great for morning use! I've been using it for a few months now, and it's perfect for lightly cleansing my oily face without stripping away too much moisture. It's ideal as a morning cleanser because it leaves my skin feeling hydrated after use. This works well for my combination dehydrated skin that tends to be oily but lacks moisture. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 25, 2019
1. Ingredients Not a single one of the 20 cautionary ingredients or allergens is present. Usually, fragrances, phenoxyethanol, or PEGs are included, but I'm really pleased that there are no concerning ingredients here. 2. Gentle Despite containing ingredients like tea tree leaf oil and citric acid that can irritate sensitive skin, as someone with sensitive skin who has gone through over 4 bottles, I didn't experience any irritation. It feels very gentle. 3. User experience As it's a slightly acidic product, it doesn't foam much. You can cleanse without irritation, and it doesn't leave your skin feeling squeaky clean or tight. 4. Value for money With many expensive cleansing products out there, I prefer cost-effective options for daily use. I'm satisfied with the price point of just over 10,000 won for 150ml. 1. Cleansing effectiveness I didn't notice at first, but when removing sunscreen or makeup, you can definitely feel that its cleansing power is lacking. It's not suitable as a first cleanser, but I recommend it for second cleansing or morning cleansing! 2. Discoloration I had stockpiled too many cleansing products, so after using other products for a while, I took this one out to use and found it had discolored as shown in the photo. Although it hadn't expired, I couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling. Given the good ingredients, we might have to accept the discoloration. 3. Blemishes To be honest, while using this product for over 4 bottles, my skin felt comfortable, but blemishes kept appearing consistently. Tea tree is supposed to calm blemishes, but I didn't see any effect. I'm not using this product anymore, and my skin has actually improved a lot. Unless my skin becomes very sensitive again, I probably won't use this product for a while. It discolors over time. Recommended for second cleansing or morning cleansing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 22, 2019
Even if I disregard everything else, I love how gentle it is. I used it without worrying about any skin blemishes. After washing, it felt like I hadn't cleansed thoroughly? There was a slight feeling that some residue remained. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 16, 2019
I absolutely adore the tea tree scent, so I was thrilled that this product had that lovely aroma. What's more, its low pH formula means it's incredibly gentle on the skin - a huge plus in my book! I love how my face feels fresh and clean after use, without any tightness. The cleansing effectiveness is impressive too; it leaves my skin feeling completely purified and refreshed. Although it's designed as a second-step cleanser, it's remarkably effective at removing makeup as well, which is a major advantage. I'm not sure if it's an issue with tea tree in general or specifically this tea tree cleanser, but I have some concerns: 1. Despite claims that this product is good for whiteheads, I saw no improvement. No matter how much I scrubbed, the whiteheads around my chin remained stubbornly in place. 2. It didn't seem to have much effect on blemishes or folliculitis either. To be honest, addressing these issues was my main reason for purchasing a tea tree cleanser, as I'd heard it could be effective. Unfortunately, I continued to experience breakouts and folliculitis persisted even with regular use. 3. I'm skeptical about its ability to control oil and sebum as claimed. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I didn't notice any reduction in oiliness or sebum production. Overall, I'm unsure if this product is suitable for someone like me with multiple skin concerns. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I use an Anbliss galvanic device with a soothing aloe deep cleansing emulsion. After cleansing, I apply a massage cream and work it into my skin in circular motions. I then cleanse again and apply a hydrogel mask, moving the galvanic device over it. Afterwards, I spritz on an essence. To prevent heat-induced aging, I finish by applying a rubber mask to lock everything in. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 15, 2019
This cleanser might just be the product I've been using the longest among all my cosmetics (repurchased twice)! I can't remember exactly, but I first bought it about 3 years ago (at first, I never thought it would become a product I'd keep repurchasing, haha, but I admit it's a hidden gem). Now I'm on my third bottle. The biggest advantage is its anti-inflammatory effect due to the tea tree ingredient. As someone with sensitive skin prone to inflammatory blemishes, nothing was as gentle and effective when my skin was acting up. I use it for my morning cleanse and even for a second cleanse in the evening if needed! My mom, who wears light makeup, uses this for both her first and second cleanse. Also, a little goes a long way in creating sufficient lather, so one bottle lasts really long. Of course, it doesn't create super fluffy, rich foam (not like dish soap), but it lathers well enough for a thorough cleanse. It might not be sufficient for those with extremely oily skin (though it could work fine as a morning cleanser). This isn't a powerful cleanser that strips all the oil from your skin, so it might not satisfy those looking for that deep-cleansing effect. I personally like this aspect as I have sensitive skin and don't prefer overly stripping cleansers. For those who do, using an enzyme cleanser alone for morning cleanse would be great! It really removes excess oil... I found it works really well when mixed with Desambre's enzyme peel powder! The enzyme wash alone was too harsh for me (strongly degreasing and dehydrating), so it had been relegated to the back of my shelf. But on a whim, I tried mixing it with the tea tree cleanser, and it's perfect for morning cleansing. It even clears out nose pores, leaving skin smooth, and reduces excess oil production! If any of you with combination-sensitive skin found enzyme powders too harsh, try mixing them with your regular cleanser! - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 24, 2018
This is the gentlest cleanser I've ever used. It's perfect for morning cleansing or evening cleansing on makeup-free days. It's not sufficient as a second cleanser. It doesn't work well for removing makeup.
