Coverage: ★★★★ Effectively conceals pores, blackheads, and blemishes Longevity: ★★★★ Wear: ★★★★ Fades beautifully throughout the day For best results, make sure to exfoliate dead skin cells properly before use. The skin finish is absolutely top-notch! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 26, 2021
This cushion is as moisturizing as you'd expect with propolis as an ingredient. I think it was last year? I was able to try it at a great price during the Nego-wang event! While the packaging isn't particularly luxurious, it's still clean and neat. The staying power is above average, and overall, it was a decent product worth trying. I wasn't too fond of the puff. It seemed to absorb quite a bit of the product. It looks like they have a lot of promotions on their official website. I keep getting text messages about them! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 20, 2021
The case is cute, and the foundation absorbs well into the cushion. When first applied, it feels moisturizing and goes on smoothly with a hydrating effect. I have combination skin, and usually, it takes about 7 hours before I get super oily. (I used to use Sum37 Air Rising BB cream, which had great coverage and staying power, though the ingredients weren't the best... I wonder if there's a BB cream or foundation with good ingredients that works well?) The oiliness is intense... It becomes extremely oily after just one hour. The first photo was taken right after application. The second photo was taken an hour later, and you can see how shiny the T-zone is, right? It's no joke! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinOct 27, 2020
First off, I love the firm, bouncy feel of the puff. It feels plush yet springy when it touches the skin! Perhaps because of this, despite being a moisturizing cushion, it adheres well to the skin with minimal transfer. The texture feels more bouncy than purely moisturizing! This cushion would be perfect for those who love a glowy skin look. I'm also impressed by how long-lasting the radiance is. Even during the changing seasons when my skin tends to be dry, the glow doesn't fade quickly! While the formula itself is quite firm, it's not too sticky. It seems to be less oily, so it might not be ideal for summer use, but it's perfect for the transitional seasons and winter. Inevitably, being a moisturizing cushion, the coverage is on the lighter side. The shade seems to come out a bit lighter than what I usually expect for my skin tone! It gives a slightly brighter look. You might want to keep this in mind when selecting your color. It's not a full shade lighter, but about half a shade brighter. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 16, 2020
1. Color The bright shade 21 is perfect for me, as I usually use shade 15 in other cushions. It's a beautiful color that doesn't have a pink undertone, making it great for warm complexions. 2. Adherence I immediately thought, 'This adheres well' when I first used it. The puff seems to work well with the product, and it sticks to the skin with a nice, bouncy texture! 3. Longevity/Transfer/Darkening While it's not an extremely hydrating cushion, its bouncy texture surprised me. I didn't expect much in terms of transfer or longevity, but even without a fixer or powder, it doesn't transfer much to masks and doesn't tend to darken! It maintains its initial state for a long time unless you rub it vigorously :) 4. Packaging This is a personal preference, but the exterior is clean and sleek. The yellow color makes it uniquely pretty and not commonly seen! 1. Coverage It barely covers redness and doesn't conceal pores well. This might be suitable for those who already have good skin. 2. Patchiness The overall skin tone appears uneven and patchy. Layering doesn't build up coverage, so I can't adjust it myself... I think the poor coverage is letting my natural skin color show through :( 3. Price At over 20,000 won for a single product without refills, it's not exactly cheap! If the product were amazing, I wouldn't think it was so expensive, but personally, I don't think it's that great, so the price is also a drawback... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSep 21, 2020
This is a review from a Hwahae Tester in their late 20s with dry, blemish-prone skin! I was most attracted to this cushion because it contains propolis extract, which I usually love. Despite being a cushion, it hardly darkens, offers good coverage, and has long-lasting wear. I think my expectations were too high. Although it contains a high amount of propolis extract, the skin finish wasn't as hydrating as I expected. If you apply light skincare underneath, it might even feel semi-matte. The finish is thick and slightly matte. You need to apply it in thin layers due to its thick texture. Because of the thick finish, it tends to break down unevenly over time, which was disappointing. The shade came out extremely light. I used shade 23, but it felt lighter than most brands' shade 21. I love propolis, so I've tried products from CNP, Skinfood, and COSRX. COSRX was my favorite - it's the most hydrating, adheres thinly, and gives that perfect glowy skin look. It doesn't break down or lift, making touch-ups easy. That's its biggest advantage! (I recently bought it and have used it for about 3 days) CNP's strength is that it applies moisturizing while providing good coverage. However, it's somewhat thick, so when wearing a mask, your makeup can get quite messed up. (I bought this a year ago) Skinfood's cushion is slightly moisturizing with long-lasting wear and no darkening. However, the way it wears off isn't very pretty. It's more suitable for summer and could work well for those with oily skin! (This was the Hwahae Tester product) The glow can vary depending on your skincare routine. You can achieve anything from semi-matte to a nice dewy finish. Just make sure to apply it thinly. It can easily look cakey and ruin your complexion if applied too thickly. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSep 18, 2020
The Hwahae Testers Review Summary: - Requires slight adjustment in application amount - Applies thinly and feels hydrating - Medium coverage - Long-lasting When I first opened it, I applied too much and it clogged my pores. But from the second application, I adjusted the amount and there was no pore-clogging or patchiness. (The initial issue was due to pressing too hard on the new puff, which picked up too much product.) You don't need to adjust the amount much, but since it's new, even one tap can dispense a lot. It's best to remove a bit or tap very gently. It doesn't apply thickly at all. It applies thinly and feels hydrating. The coverage is right in the middle. For reddish blemishes, a faint mark remains, so it's best to cover with concealer. Otherwise, it covers well, and for areas needing more coverage, layering works satisfactorily. It has impressively long-lasting power. While it may vary depending on base or powder use, in summer, even with powder, foundation often comes off due to sweat under the mask. This one stayed on almost completely even after 3-4 hours of continuous mask-wearing without touch-ups. I always finish with powder as I prefer a matte skin finish. Maybe that's why, but there was hardly any transfer onto the mask, so it was convenient not needing touch-ups after removing the mask. I'm sensitive to scents and can't use strongly fragranced cosmetics at all. This cushion's scent isn't strong - it's just right for comfortable use. I usually do my makeup with foundation and use cushions for touch-ups. I tried using it that way, but it didn't blend well with my foundation, possibly due to incompatibility. It didn't work well for touch-ups and caused patchiness... It works wonderfully when used alone. I've been mainly using foundation but recently started looking for a cushion that suits me. I think I might end up purchasing this cushion for regular use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 18, 2020
As expected from a cushion by the masters of propolis essence, the moisturizing effect is immediately noticeable upon application and lasts for a long time, which is fantastic for someone with dry skin like me! Among the cushions I've tried, I dare say this one has one of the most remarkable cooling effects. The pleasant cooling sensation during application is just a bonus. It applies in an incredibly thin layer, so there's absolutely no heavy feeling. Personally, I was satisfied with how the puff seemed to maximize the glow even more! I loved how the puff didn't feel sticky and applied the product thinly onto the skin without absorbing too much of it. It seems they were aiming for a bright color, but on my skin, it had a slightly ashy undertone. As you apply more, the glow increases, but because the base color itself appears somewhat ashy, the glow can look a bit dull. After applying a base that matches your skin tone beautifully, try very lightly dabbing this cushion on top with a puff. This not only improves the adherence of the base you've applied but also gradually brings out a glow, making your skin look even more beautiful! The essence content must truly be high. As someone who has been using the propolis essence since before its renewal, I can't praise it enough. I recommend using it more for touch-ups rather than as your initial base makeup. For touch-ups, its thin application and non-clumping properties are perfect! For those whose skin tone matches well with this cushion, give it a try this winter! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 18, 2020
——————The Hwahae Testers Review—————— ʚ I have combination skin The product I used is #2 Natural Beige! ʚ Application I was worried this cushion might be super shiny and oily since it claims to contain a whole bottle of propolis ampoule for radiance. But contrary to my concerns, it gives a beautiful dewy glow without looking greasy or overly shiny! ʚ Longevity Usually when I apply a dewy cushion, my face gets oily over time, especially in the T-zone, causing my makeup to break down. However, with this cushion, even after hours of wear, there wasn't much oil production. It maintained its initial finish, only fading slightly where the mask touches the face, without breaking down due to excess oil. I really liked that! ʚ Color The #2 Natural Beige has a yellow base, which was perfect for my 22 warm undertone skin! I usually find that pink-beige 21 shades make my face look too ghostly, but since this product offers #1 with a pink base and #2 with a yellow base, using #2 gave me just the right amount of brightness. ʚ Scent While I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, I dislike it when cushions have an overpowering cosmetic smell upon application. With this cushion, I didn't even notice the scent while applying, which suggests it's not strong at all. ʚ Puff The puff is really bouncy and elastic! I've heard that the puff plays a crucial role in makeup application, and this one definitely delivers. Its bounciness seems to help the product adhere better to the skin. ʚ Recommended Skin Types Dry, Combination, and Oily!!! This cushion is a moisturizing formula that even oily skin types can use without worrying about looking greasy!! It gives a subtle Inner Glow, not a flashy shine that's visible from afar~ ʚ Coverage This definitely isn't a matte cushion, nor is it focused on high coverage, so don't expect too much in terms of coverage. While it does cover pores well, it doesn't completely hide blemishes. You'll need to use a concealer for additional coverage~ For those wanting an even more hydrated makeup look, I recommend applying a glowy base before the cushion. If you prefer a more matte finish, set it with some powder~ - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopy SkinSep 13, 2020
As one of The Hwahae Testers, here's my review! This cushion was perfect for me since I love products that provide hydration. I don't focus on coverage, but rather on how beautifully it enhances my skin's appearance. When applied thinly, it makes my skin look moisturized and pretty without any dryness-induced cracking. It doesn't make my skin appear thick or float on top. If you apply it thickly for more coverage, it might break down quickly and may not look as flattering. I'm not sure about its longevity as I haven't been out for long periods lately. I'll update on that after more use! Oh, and the case is absolutely adorable and pretty! I looked around and couldn't find any refills available. I'm not sure if they're not released yet or if they don't offer them at all.
