It adheres well to the skin and provides great hydration. Since my face is dry, it absorbs well and doesn't transfer onto masks easily. It's so... moisturizing that it feels like I've applied oil to my face... Those who dislike sticky textures might not enjoy this product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 18, 2022
I have skin around shade 22, but even shade 23 gave me a natural complexion without looking too dark. I've been using this since winter, and it's great for both the cold, dry winter weather and the transitional spring season we're in now! It's moisturizing without being overly dewy, making it a fantastic cushion for all skin types! I wish the design was a bit cuter... Initially, I imagined an adorable package because of the 'Royal Honey' name, but it's just... okay. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 8, 2022
Even though I have very dry skin, this didn't make it excessively dry. Being an essence cushion, it felt quite moisturizing and had a nice hydrating effect. Hydration: It felt moisturizing at first, but as time passed, the makeup started to separate on my skin. It's not that I felt dry, but more like my skin was screaming 'I'm parched!' and the product just sat on top. Longevity: Well... it's not good at all. The staying power is beyond words. Color: Natural beige, really? I usually use shade 21, but this initially goes on with a whitish cast. So I have to apply it very thinly in layers. Coverage: I didn't expect much, but yeah... it is an essence cushion after all. It might work better as a touch-up product... - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 11, 2021
* Case I loved the luxurious and beautiful design of the case. * Texture From the name, I expected it to be super hydrating and thought it might be great as a winter cushion. True to being an ampoule cushion, it has a slightly heavy moisturizing feel. However, if you don't have a solid skincare routine underneath, it can feel dry. The puff itself gives a slightly powdery finish, so it might be good to spray some mist on the puff before use. * Longevity Due to wearing masks, the longevity is a bit hit or miss... I can't really explain it well, but I don't think it was bad. It's neither good nor bad, and I think I'll use it well when I'm not going out for long periods. The color was really disappointing. It wasn't a pretty apricot beige, but more of a pale yellowish tone. Because of the color, I find myself not reaching for it. Overall, I had many points of disappointment, so I ended up using other cushions. It would be good to use this after applying hydrating skincare. Try spraying some mist on the puff or slightly dampening it with water! When purchasing, choose a shade one tone darker than your complexion! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 20, 2021
The case is cute, and the foundation absorbs well into the cushion. When first applied, it feels moisturizing and goes on smoothly with a hydrating effect. I have combination skin, and usually, it takes about 7 hours before I get super oily. (I used to use Sum37 Air Rising BB cream, which had great coverage and staying power, though the ingredients weren't the best... I wonder if there's a BB cream or foundation with good ingredients that works well?) The oiliness is intense... It becomes extremely oily after just one hour. The first photo was taken right after application. The second photo was taken an hour later, and you can see how shiny the T-zone is, right? It's no joke! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinOct 27, 2020
First off, I love the firm, bouncy feel of the puff. It feels plush yet springy when it touches the skin! Perhaps because of this, despite being a moisturizing cushion, it adheres well to the skin with minimal transfer. The texture feels more bouncy than purely moisturizing! This cushion would be perfect for those who love a glowy skin look. I'm also impressed by how long-lasting the radiance is. Even during the changing seasons when my skin tends to be dry, the glow doesn't fade quickly! While the formula itself is quite firm, it's not too sticky. It seems to be less oily, so it might not be ideal for summer use, but it's perfect for the transitional seasons and winter. Inevitably, being a moisturizing cushion, the coverage is on the lighter side. The shade seems to come out a bit lighter than what I usually expect for my skin tone! It gives a slightly brighter look. You might want to keep this in mind when selecting your color. It's not a full shade lighter, but about half a shade brighter. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 19, 2020
The Hwahae Testers Review I'm grateful for the opportunity to write this review after being selected as a Hwahae Tester! I've been using this product for about a week now, and I've been using it as my base makeup during this time. My skin is oily but severely dehydrated. I don't get many blemishes anymore, just 1-2 on bad skin days, but I have some red scars from past cystic acne. When choosing a base, I prioritize coverage (at least average) and good adherence. Color: I chose shade #2 Natural Beige, which turned out to be quite bright! I have yellow-toned skin around 21-22, and this product made my skin look about one shade lighter. It brightened my complexion naturally without looking unnatural, even though pink bases usually don't suit me. It seems to lean more towards a yellow base. However, those with shade 21 might find it a bit bright. Adherence: Using the included puff, it adheres thinly when patted on! Compared to other cushions I've used, I'd rank them: Jung Saem Mool > MAC Studio Fix > Skinfood Propolis. This product's adherence isn't bad at all. If you pat it on several times with the puff, it adheres thinly and moistly without looking cakey. The included puff is very soft and seems to work well with the cushion. Moisture: Despite having oily skin, I prefer products that are matte on the outside but moisturizing inside due to my dehydrated skin. This product gives a beautiful glow while feeling moisturizing both on the surface and deep down. It has a thin texture when applied and leaves a dewy finish. I think it would look beautiful on dry skin and would be good for oily skin in fall/winter. Since it's late summer, I had to blot with oil paper occasionally. Blemishes: I tend to get cystic acne when using incompatible base products, but I didn't experience any breakouts with this product! Longevity: Due to mask-wearing, touch-ups are often necessary. With this product, a glow appears around afternoon. It might be slightly excessive for oily skin, but rather than breaking down messily, it seems to fade gradually. I blot with oil paper occasionally due to my oily skin, but it doesn't look cakey. Coverage: For someone like me with red scars, the coverage felt insufficient. However, it adequately covers blemishes and small pimples. It seemed too moisturizing to cover redness, giving a somewhat sheer effect. Concealer is a must for acne-prone skin! Transfer: Despite good adherence, due to its moisturizing formula, it tends to stick to hair and transfer quite a bit. When wearing a mask, a significant amount of makeup comes off. Touch-ups: While I didn't notice much pore-clogging during initial application, when touching up with this product, it tended to clump in pores. It seemed to lack pore coverage when reapplying, so I used a different cushion for touch-ups. When set with powder, the longevity improved and transfer was reduced, making me reach for it more often! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 19, 2020
*The Hwahae Testers Review* I apologize for the delay in my Hwahae Testers review, I've been so busy! #Packaging The case has a subtle lemon color that's refreshing and pretty. I felt happy when I received it! #Product Effectiveness Compared to the H brand black cushion I usually use, this one feels more moisturizing! It seems perfect for the dry autumn and winter seasons. The color gives off a bright, slightly pinkish vibe that I really like. #Product Effectiveness While it's more moisturizing compared to the black cushion, it seems slightly less long-lasting and doesn't adhere as well. Since I have oily skin, I noticed some lifting and breakdown by the afternoon! Since it's the changing season and my skin feels a bit dry, I find that applying a hydrating mist before and after using this product keeps my skin feeling nice and moisturized. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 18, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I have combination dehydrated skin, so when I'm doing my makeup, the most important thing I look for is whether it's drying or not!!!!! This is absolutely crucial. As they say, the foundation is always the most important - no matter how good a cushion is, if it's not moisturizing, it just doesn't work for me. But this product is incredibly hydrating!! 👍🏻 The moisturizing texture isn't just there when you apply it, but it actually maintains that hydration when it touches your skin!!! We all know how important this is. That's why I keep reaching for this cushion. It's a miracle worker that applies well even when my skin isn't at its best. Secondly, the staying power isn't bad either. To be honest, I can't say the coverage is great, but it doesn't fade away either. With this level of hydration and this level of coverage, I'm more than satisfied. 👍🏻👍🏻 I've always gone back to celebrity-endorsed cushions, but this product might just become my new go-to cushion!! Because it's so moisturizing, it can feel a bit rich. So if you tend to get oily around your bangs, it might start to look a bit cakey in the afternoon... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 18, 2020
Hands down, this was the worst cushion I've ever tried. If there's one redeeming quality, it's that it contains essence, so it's not drying and keeps the skin hydrated. However, it has a grayish cast, it's way too light, transfers easily, leaves marks, has no coverage, and disappears quickly. It's truly the most disappointing cushion I've used.
