A reliable product I've repurchased. Despite its hydrating properties, it didn't transfer much onto my mask. While it doesn't break down messily, it seems to disappear completely, leading to comments like 'Are you not wearing makeup?' Also, the shade isn't particularly bright. Recommended for those with clear, unproblematic skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 12, 2021
I highly praise its adherence! With just a thin application, you can achieve medium-high coverage, longevity, and excellent skin adhesion. The Pure 21 shade is beautiful too. Those with shades 13-17 will find it natural, while it'll brighten up shade 21 skin. Since I apply it very thinly, allowing my skin to slightly show through, the exact shade wasn't crucial for me (though I do have a light 21 tone). Right after application, it feels slightly moisturizing and becomes powdery as it dries. It barely transfers to masks, so I used Rom&nd exclusively throughout spring and summer. However, I'm unsure about winter. As someone with dry skin, it's a semi-matte finish that makes me wonder if it can withstand the dry winter. If I don't find a better alternative, I'll likely continue using this product. For summer, I'll probably go with the 21 Natural shade as I tan a bit. First off, you can't buy it offline. I wanted to at least see the shades, but they only had the Zero Cushion in stores. There are no refills available either. Even though it's relatively affordable, it feels wasteful to keep buying the full product and case, just accumulating trash. Also, if you habitually pat it on vigorously with the included puff or a regular cushion puff, it only looks pretty right after application. Afterwards, it seriously breaks down and settles into lines. If you want to use a cushion puff, apply a small amount thinly by spreading it, then press it in to adhere. If using a brush, first apply a very thin layer all over, then build up in specific areas. I have skin that leans dry, but if I use a creamy base and apply this product with a Piccasso 130 or Fillimilli brush, it can work miracles even on skin that others claim is too thick or dry for this product. My cheeks and chin are extremely dry and always feel a bit rough, but I've received compliments on how good my skin looks! My holy grail combination for sensitive, dry skin is: Make:prem Safe Me Cream - Botanic Zinc Sun Emulsion - Rom&nd Clear Cushion. I don't use heavy skin or essence products. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 25, 2021
1. Compared to other products, the ingredients seem relatively decent (based on personal standards). 2. The coverage is not bad either. 1. Semi-glow? It wasn't the kind of glow I was looking for. It doesn't even give that subtle Inner Glow like in the model photos. 2. It transfers onto masks terribly. 3. The way it breaks down is unattractive... After a while, it settles into the pores. I've tried various cushions from Cl**, Ma*, A****** etc., but none were as bad as this product. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 27, 2021
Achieves thin, ultra-adherent coverage with just a small amount. Perfect as a summer foundation alternative for my combination-to-dry skin. It gives a subtle glow. I'm absolutely thrilled with it! It can settle into pores when it breaks down. I wonder if I'm not applying the base properly? Or could it be due to the moisture trapped under my mask? The case is so pretty, it's perfect for showing off - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinApr 17, 2021
While it may not offer perfect coverage, I absolutely loved how naturally it adhered to my skin! It's really ideal for daily use. It does an excellent job of covering pores, and there's no caking around the nose area, which is why I've been exclusively using this cushion lately. What's more, the packaging design is incredibly beautiful, sparking a desire to collect it. The design, inspired by traditional Korean clothing, is particularly meaningful, making me feel good just by looking at it. Those with dry skin might find it a bit dehydrating. You may need to apply thorough skincare before using this cushion. Also, while I didn't experience significant breakdown, I noticed some patchiness when touching up. It might not be a groundbreaking tip, but I recommend using just a small amount as it provides good coverage. Try lightly pressing the puff or applying thin layers for the best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 7, 2021
I'm shade 22 with an olive light undertone. I tried this cushion as a sample when buying a tint, and honestly, it's unique among all the cushions I've used. The texture is quite unusual. It goes on with a dewy finish but sets to a semi-matte. Coverage-wise, for blemish-prone skin, I'd give it 3 out of 5. You can build it up, but it goes on thick rather than sheer. Expect about half a shade of darkening. Romand's signature grayish cast hasn't been improved. Touch-ups are tricky, and after 4-5 hours, it breaks down noticeably, making it very hard to control. It tends to settle into pores and around the nose. No, no... there's nothing good to say... sigh... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 22, 2021
Tricky timing for a review due to the season! The formula is nice for winter dryness, but the mask situation complicates things. First off, like everyone else, I'm in love with the adorable packaging! The scent is pleasant, and the puff is my favorite teardrop shape. It's Pure 21, with a slightly stronger yellow undertone than red. Usually 21 is a bit dark for me so I use 17, but this shade was bright enough to work well. If you're used to products with red undertones, it might seem too yellow at first, but it settles nicely over time. Being a hydrating formula, it has amazing pore coverage and gives a beautiful glow to the skin. Right after application, you look positively luxurious. The downside is it doesn't seem to set well, so you might get mask lines. I usually apply cushions thinly, so the coverage is average for me. With light application, most cushions have similar coverage. Due to its hydrating formula, if you apply it over heavy skincare, it tends to sit on top rather than adhere, leading to some pilling over time. However, it doesn't break down in an unsightly way! Considering the price, coverage, and formula, it would be perfect for winter use, but the mask situation turns this into a drawback. Maybe I feel this way because I've been focusing on thorough skincare and matte cushions due to masks lately, but in the current situation, I'd rather use matte formulas. This seems like a product I'd use non-stop when not wearing a mask! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 1, 2021
I really liked how the color naturally brightens the complexion! It felt moisturizing as I applied it, but it doesn't give you that overly shiny look. For me, it applies quite thinly, so I had to use concealer separately on areas that needed more coverage after applying the cushion. This aspect was a bit disappointing as it's very sheer. Touch-ups are definitely necessary, but at least it doesn't break down in an unflattering way, so that's okay. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinDec 11, 2020
The color strikes a nice balance between natural and radiant, without being overly bright or dark. It should suit those with skin tones between 17-21 naturally. On my combination dehydrated skin, the staying power wasn't bad, and it didn't feel sticky. Even when oils surface, it breaks down prettily. I didn't expect much in terms of coverage, but it seems to provide about as much as a semi-matte cushion. Overall, it's a safe, reliable cushion foundation. I expected a subtle glow from the 'semi-glow' description, but the skin finish is actually closer to a semi-matte cushion. While it does break down nicely with a beautiful glow when oils come through, I was disappointed not to get that initial feeling when first applying the cushion. Being a glow cushion, it does tend to transfer onto masks a bit. Those with dry skin might need to ensure a solid skincare base before using this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 11, 2020
This cushion is more on the matte side rather than being super moisturizing. It's great at covering most blemishes and redness around the nose area! It has a rose scent, which rose fragrance lovers will adore! Personally, I'm not a fan of rose scents, but that's just my preference. When you first apply the cushion, you get a cool sensation along with the rose fragrance! The case has a clean, subtle charm in an ivory color. Those who like simple designs will probably appreciate it. For me, it felt like a middle ground between matte and semi-matte. My benchmark for semi-matte is Estée Lauder Futurist. If you're looking for a matte foundation but don't want it to be too drying, this might be perfect for you! The puff lacks firmness and feels too soft and fluffy. Because of this, the application isn't as smooth as I'd like. When you pat it on, it can apply a bit thick, and when you try to blend it out, it doesn't spread easily, which was disappointing. For a shade 21, it feels a bit dark. It lacks that bright, luminous effect. The color looks naturally pretty when first applied, but it doesn't wear beautifully over time. It seems to darken a bit too. Despite the initial cool essence-like feeling when applied, it's matte and a bit drying. I have particularly dry cheeks, so that might be why I feel this way, but I also can't really notice the glowy finish they claim. If you have dry skin, you might want to apply a rich moisturizer before using this cushion! Also, this cushion looks much prettier when applied in thin layers rather than thick application.
