I'm shade 22 with an olive light undertone. I tried this cushion as a sample when buying a tint, and honestly, it's unique among all the cushions I've used. The texture is quite unusual. It goes on with a dewy finish but sets to a semi-matte. Coverage-wise, for blemish-prone skin, I'd give it 3 out of 5. You can build it up, but it goes on thick rather than sheer. Expect about half a shade of darkening. Romand's signature grayish cast hasn't been improved. Touch-ups are tricky, and after 4-5 hours, it breaks down noticeably, making it very hard to control. It tends to settle into pores and around the nose. No, no... there's nothing good to say... sigh... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 28, 2021
I typically use Neutral 21 for my combination dehydrated skin. I was previously satisfied with the Rom&nd Zero Cushion, but stopped using it in winter as it became too matte. After receiving a cushion sample, I've been using this for about a month now. Being semi-glow, it lacks the mattifying effect of the previous compact, making it ideal for winter through spring. What impressed me most was its pore coverage! I have fairly large pores, but this product really excels at concealing them. Considering its coverage and pore-blurring abilities, I'm very pleased with this product. However, it does tend to settle into the creases around my nose over time. But I have oily skin, so this happens with most products I use, unfortunately. It also transfers quite a bit when wearing a mask. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 5, 2021
❗All attached photos were taken with the rear default camera❗ First off, I was surprised by how amazing it smelled when I first used it. It wasn't your typical cosmetic scent, but a subtle rose fragrance. The way it wears off is quite pretty. Even though I wear a mask and certain areas get rubbed off, like around the nose (which is unavoidable), the cheek area faded slightly but still maintained a clean skin appearance without looking obviously worn. I'd seen reviews saying it has a strong pink undertone, but that wasn't my experience at all. Initially, I thought I might have mistakenly ordered shade 23 because it seemed quite yellow. However, it seemed to brighten up after a short while. I've used shade 23 foundation before, and this product didn't make me feel overly bright - it was just right. When I applied powder after using this cushion, compared to my usual foundation routine, there was significantly less transfer onto my mask. It tended to settle into the creases around my nose and mouth, which was disappointing. The creasing is quite noticeable. It doesn't feel like it adheres closely to the skin. I'm not sure if it's because the puff is new, but it felt like it was slightly floating on top of my skin rather than blending in. I think you'll be quite satisfied if you pay extra attention when applying it to dry areas or parts prone to creasing. It seems ideal for touch-ups on the go. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 13, 2020
I have shade 21, cool-toned, dry, and blemish-prone skin! 1. Packaging The case is absolutely gorgeous! It has this water-like effect that creates beautiful ripples when light hits it or when you move it. It reminds me of shimmering waves. It's truly elegant and stunning. 2. Color You know how cool-toned folks want to use yellow-based products to counteract redness, but they often look too floaty or make you look like you've eaten dirt? Well, this one strikes the perfect balance! 3. Coverage It's not completely sheer - it does a decent job of covering small imperfections. But where it really shines is pore coverage. It makes your pores look absolutely flawless! 1. Pilling I have dry skin, so I use a very hydrating base. However, as time passes, this cushion sets to a semi-matte finish and starts to pill around my under-eyes, sides of the nose, and along my blush lines on the cheeks. It creates a thick, white buildup in these areas. I thought it might be my base products, so I tried different combinations, but the puff itself is thick and tends to push the product around. You need quite a bit of skill to apply this beautifully. 2. Mask Marks It sets the mask marks right into your skin... At work, when I take off my mask briefly for meals or to brush my teeth, the mask lines are so visible, and the cushion has slightly shifted and set that way. Trying to touch up just makes it cake up more. This cushion is just too challenging for me to work with. I think it might be better to apply this with a different puff or a foundation brush, layering it very lightly in small amounts. Be careful not to over-hydrate your skin before applying foundation. If your base is too moisturizing, your makeup will end up a mess later on. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 9, 2020
*Skin type: Warm tone *The coverage is moderate, similar to a typical cushion foundation *It has a subtle glow that looks beautiful (less intense than shown in ads, but I prefer the subtle effect) *One of its major strengths is how well it covers pores *It applies lightly without feeling heavy, which is great (My skin tone: Warm with a fair complexion) Shade 01 Pure 21 matches my skin tone well, so I'll likely use it regularly *There's a very slight settling into the creases around the nose, but it's not severe *If you apply it without prepping the nose area, you might notice a bit of separation even with the cushion on To me, the scent is somewhat reminiscent of a skincare emulsion that might cause slight nausea. However, the smell disappears once applied. Also, note that if you apply a second layer, it can significantly brighten your complexion - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 25, 2020
I've used many Rom&nd products before, but I was just sticking with their Zero Cushion as I didn't have a replacement. After seeing it constantly on YouTube and ads, I decided to give it a try and wow, I've found a gem! Coverage: I have a lot of acne and texture on my face, so I usually only carried cushions for touch-ups and didn't use them as my main base. But this one surprised me by covering most of my redness! Longevity: ⚡️The reason I'm writing this review⚡️ These days, with masks on, most foundations come off easily. But this cushion barely transfers and stays on the face longer than expected. It leaves a beautiful glow too (though there was some creasing around the nose). Shade: I bought shade #1 Pure. Rom&nd tends to run a bit light, so it seemed bright at first, but after a while, it blended well with my skin tone. The downside is, since my nose area is extremely oily, I couldn't avoid some creasing around the nose. However, it wasn't too severe and was at an acceptable level. Why? Because the overall longevity makes up for it... I've been using this with Innisfree's antioxidant ampoule lately. I think it works better with lighter formulas rather than heavy ones!
