  Pros

  As someone with combination and super sensitive skin, I'm always careful about what I put on my face. This product impressed me with its affordable price and great ingredients. It's hydrating, gentle, and slightly acidic, making it perfect for sensitive skin types. I love that it doesn't cause any irritation. Another plus is that it's almost fragrance-free!

  Cons

  The only downside is that it struggles a bit with cleansing effectiveness when it comes to waterproof products. It doesn't remove them as well as I'd like.

  Pros

  I've been using this cleansing water consistently since summer 2021. Its low pH formula is great because it doesn't leave my face feeling tight after washing.

  Cons

  It stings a bit when it gets in your eyes. Though it seems unscented, there's a peculiar smell. It wasn't to my liking at first, but after a year of use, I've gotten used to it.

  Tip

  I transferred it to a foaming pump bottle for use. Instead of applying it with a cotton pad or my hands, I pump the foam directly onto my face and massage it in. On days with heavy makeup, I use a cleansing balm, but otherwise, I remove eye makeup with a separate remover, then apply this foam cleanser. Some people just wipe with cotton and move on to skincare, but I rinse off the foam multiple times with water. It's truly refreshing and cleanses thoroughly even without using a separate foam cleanser. When there's a lot of makeup and oil, the foam disappears in a second! I just apply more foam and continue cleansing.

  1. Gentle on skin I bought this for my husband who has sensitive skin, after checking the ingredients and reviews on Hwahae. It's free from irritants and allergens, making it suitable for those with sensitive skin, including men! The slightly acidic formula is gentle on the skin, which is a big plus. 2. How to use My husband uses it in the morning after washing his face to remove any remaining impurities and fine dust. You can actually see the cotton pad turn yellowish after use! As for me, I use it as a second cleanse after my cleansing foam to remove makeup. It's great at picking up residue that the foam might miss! It's also refreshing when my face or neck feels sticky. 3. Large size The 490ml bottle lasts quite a while, even with both my husband and I using it! Perfect for keeping at home. 4. Scent While not completely fragrance-free, the scent is so subtle it's almost non-existent. Those sensitive to fragrances shouldn't have any issues. 5. Cleansing power I tested its effectiveness on lipstick, liquid eyeliner, and BB cream - it removed all three cleanly! I was impressed that it could do this without needing any other cleansing products. However, it may struggle with heavily pigmented products. For those, a specialized remover might be better.

  Cons

  1. Lid Despite being a large 490ml bottle, the screw-top lid makes it inconvenient to use due to its weight and size. A pump dispenser would make it much easier to use!

  As the name suggests, it's mildly acidic, so it's less irritating. My skin is super sensitive, making it hard to find products with suitable ingredients, but I'm satisfied with this one!

  First off, I absolutely loved that it's non-irritating and slightly acidic! As someone with sensitive skin that easily gets red and shows dead skin cells, I found these aspects really beneficial. While it doesn't feel like much at first, when you look at the cotton pad, you can see it's actually removed quite a lot. However, keep in mind that I typically don't wear makeup, just sunscreen. If you're someone who wears a full face of makeup, you might need a separate eye makeup remover. Another plus is the large size - it's great to be able to use it generously without worrying about running out quickly.

  Cons

  There are no real downsides. I plan to repurchase this once I've finished it. I alternate between oil and water-based cleansers depending on my makeup and skin condition, but for water-based, I'm sticking with this one! If I had to nitpick, I'd say it stings a bit if it gets in your eyes, but isn't that true for most products?

  I've been using many Dr.G products like cleansing foam and toner regularly, so I had high expectations for this brand I trust. Luckily, I was selected for The Hwahae Testers and got to try it out! First off, I loved that it's mildly acidic, which means less irritation for my face! I don't use cleansing water with cotton pads to remove makeup. Instead, I first cleanse with a cleansing milk, then use the cleansing water by applying it with my hands, almost like a second cleanse. I've heard so many times that using cotton pads to remove makeup can be too harsh on the skin, so I've adopted this method. Since then, I feel like I don't need to scrub my face as much, and it seems much better for my skin! Also, I've become wary of cleansing products with fragrances. I used to use Neutrogena cleansing water, and thankfully, like that one, the Dr.G cleansing water is colorless and odorless. This made me feel more confident using it as a gentle product. I think I'll be able to use this well, just like I did with Neutrogena! I hope this review was helpful!

  While it is colorless and odorless, when applying it to the face... there's a slight naphthalene-like scent that might not be to everyone's taste. I personally didn't care for that smell... But everything else about it is fine!

  As someone with super sensitive skin that easily turns red, I can't use just any cleansing product. I was relieved to try this one after seeing on Hwahae that it's low pH and free of 20 potential irritants. It also contains multi-probiotics derived from fermented lactic acid bacteria! The biggest advantage of Dr.G Cleansing Water is that unlike other products, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after removing makeup. Instead, it feels like there's still a hydrating barrier on my skin right after cleansing. And this is without any stickiness or oily residue! Being low pH, it's non-irritating to the skin. I love how gentle it feels, like I'm just wiping with water. During my use, I didn't experience any blemishes, and it didn't sting even when it got in my eyes. I was worried the gentleness might compromise its cleansing power, but it effectively removed foundation residue and even eyeliner. It was also quite good at removing mascara! The probiotic ingredients are said to help remove dead skin cells too. It's free from artificial colors and fragrances, so it's colorless and unscented.

  Cons

  After using it myself, I'm 100% sure I'll repurchase. I can't think of any downsides so far.

  Tip

  For acne-prone skin, products with oil components like cleansing oils aren't recommended! That's why I only use cleansing water.

  This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! I have sensitive, dry, and blemish-prone skin. 1. Application - I used it by saturating a cotton pad with the cleansing water! Thanks to its low pH and good ingredients, there was no tingling sensation! 2. Blemishes - Despite having sensitive and blemish-prone skin, I didn't experience any breakouts after using it! 3. Cleansing effectiveness - It removed base makeup, eyebrow products, and eyeshadow well! It can't handle waterproof mascara or eyeliner though... Still, it removes face makeup so well that for everyday use, this cleansing water and a foam cleanser should be enough for a thorough cleanse! 4. The volume is generous, and the ingredients are great

  I heard the foam and cleansing gel from Dr.G's line were good, so I was curious about the water-type from the same line. I was lucky enough to win this and try it out! Compared to other cleansing waters, it definitely has more hydration. Some cleansing waters can be drying as the water evaporates quickly, but this product leaves your skin feeling moisturized even after cleansing, which I really liked. It's also a low pH cleanser with gentle ingredients, so I was a bit worried about using it on my sensitive skin during this changing season with all the fine dust, but I used it without any blemishes appearing. There's a very slight scent, but it's not from added fragrances - it's just the natural smell of the cleansing water. It's almost unscented, so it doesn't bother me at all. The cleansing effectiveness is decent. While it might struggle a bit with waterproof makeup or mascara, it removes base makeup well and generally cleanses effectively. However, for my skin, I still needed a second cleanse to thoroughly clean my pores. I think the biggest advantage of this product is its hydration. What I liked most was that it didn't leave my skin feeling dry after cleansing.

While the cleansing effectiveness is generally good, it's a bit difficult to completely remove point makeup. You'll need a separate remover for that. Also, if you want to thoroughly clean inside your pores, a second cleanse is necessary.
