This gel is perfect for hot summer days. I prefer its lightweight and clean feel compared to heavy creams. Before using it, I thought it would be a clear gel, but when I opened it - surprise! It's more like a white emulsion. This makes it easy to apply generously without feeling heavy. Plus, it's not sticky at all. When you're in air conditioning, it absorbs into the skin quickly, so it's great to use just like a regular emulsion! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 3, 2021
My skin type is combination dehydrated! I have to be really careful about what I put on my face because I'm prone to blemishes if I use the wrong products. But I absolutely love the ingredients in this one! I expected the soothing gel to be transparent, but it's actually white. It's definitely very hydrating and you can feel the cooling effect. The absorption is great too, which I really appreciate. For someone like me who doesn't have dry skin, it feels light and refreshing without being heavy. If I had to point out one downside... it's quite expensive. The price is a bit wicked. Also, I think those with dry skin might need to layer it with something else. I think it would work well if you apply this soothing gel along with a lightweight moisturizer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 2, 2021
It's a lightweight, easily spreadable emulsion with a nice texture. I personally prefer that it's fragrance-free. I was initially reassured by the gentle ingredients, and after using it, I can confirm its skin-friendly nature as I experienced no blemishes. With my sensitive combination dehydrated skin, I'm using this as a substitute for my usual emulsion. It's hydrating, but for longer-lasting moisture, reapplication is recommended. This mild product would be especially suitable for those with atopic or extremely dry skin. After a week of use, I can vouch for its gentle formulation as I've had no skin reactions. While there's not much to complain about, the hydration doesn't last very long. It would be great if they came out with a richer cream in this line to complement it. For prolonged hydration after evening cleansing, try layering this product with an oil or serum. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 28, 2021
Even though I have combination dehydrated skin and sensitive skin, this product didn't cause any blemishes. The texture is soft, so it absorbs well. It gets absorbed quickly, and the ingredients are good, making it a lightweight option for daily use without any concerns. Since it's a large size, I think it'll last for a long time! I wasn't sure when to use it in my skincare routine, so I hadn't been using it. But when I applied it before a modeling mask, my skin didn't feel dry, and I felt like the mask was even more effective. It was difficult to control the amount, and since it has a rich feel, it might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin. When I applied this product to my face before using a modeling mask, my skin didn't feel dry at all! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 28, 2021
The ingredients are all good, and it's a lightweight, water-based formula that's suitable for all skin types without being sticky, so it's likely to be universally liked. Usually, when you think of a soothing gel texture, you imagine a transparent formula, but this product has an opaque texture similar to an emulsion, just slightly thinner. You can layer it multiple times without any pilling. The finish feels light like a serum or ampoule, with a high moisture content that provides an immediate cooling effect upon application. It absorbs quickly, leaving only a minimal moisturizing layer. There are no pore-clogging ingredients, making it suitable for blemish-prone skin, and it's great for calming and cooling, helping to reduce redness and heat in the skin. When applied multiple times on the body, there was a slight itching sensation. On the face, there was no irritation with the first layer, but from the second application onwards, I felt some itching and a slight tingling. While the ingredients list itself doesn't seem problematic, it appears there might be something that doesn't agree with my skin personally. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 25, 2021
For my dry, sensitive skin prone to blemishes, this provides just the right amount of hydration and soothing effects without causing irritation. While it's generally challenging to moisturize dry skin with soothing gels alone, this one is actually suitable for those with dry skin. It doesn't absorb instantly, but it does have a nice texture that absorbs well. It seems to be fragrance-free, likely due to the absence of harsh ingredients. The emulsion-like texture doesn't provide long-lasting hydration for dry skin. It might be more suitable for combination dehydrated skin. Applying a moisturizer after this product helps to lock in the hydration and prolong its effects. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 25, 2021
The Hwahae Testers Review: I tried this product on my combination dehydrated skin (3n type) and my child with atopic tendencies. It's truly a moisture-packed soothing gel. As soon as you apply it, you can feel the hydrating effect and a slight cooling sensation. It's a thin and lightweight gel that glides smoothly on the skin. What I liked after using it: 1. It absorbs well and has great application. The non-greasy formula leaves no sticky residue, which I really appreciate. 2. I looked into the Body Burden Project. It seems like a meaningful and commendable initiative. 3. It had a calming effect when applied to irritated, reddened skin. The cooling effect and active ingredients in the product seem to help. The Body Burden Project cosmetics still feel unfamiliar, making the price point a bit daunting. There are several similar products made without harmful ingredients, so I'm unsure if I'd spend extra on BBP products in the future. Seasonally, this product seems more suitable for summer. For now, applying just this oil-free soothing gel leaves my skin feeling dry quite quickly. I had to layer a moisturizer on top of the soothing gel. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 24, 2021
I have combination skin prone to deep dryness, blemishes, and super sensitive skin! When I first applied it, it didn't feel like a gel, but more like a very light emulsion. It absorbs well! I thought it might feel oily, but after absorption, there's no stickiness - just a refreshing feeling that made me think 'What's this?'. My elementary school daughter is using it too, and it seems to have slightly calmed her acne! Even though I have sensitive skin, I didn't get any blemishes during the week of use! Personally, I really like the tube packaging! If you have dry skin, you might need to apply more moisturizer! Keeping it in the fridge could give a nice cooling effect. My skin was in terrible condition, but after washing my face and applying this a couple of times, it's calming down nicely!
