The ingredients aren't bad. When applying, it feels like a mix of half cream and half aloe. It's less drying than regular aloe products. The hydration is not terrible, but it has a slightly oily feel. This alone isn't enough moisture (it's lighter than hand cream). The scent is a bit plasticky with hints of coconut. It's quite runny, as you can see in the photo (I applied it after showering and it seems to attract dust easily). Opening and closing the container is difficult, especially opening it. When tilted downward, the product comes out on its own, making it hard to control the amount (like a new ketchup bottle). The price is too high. I recommend using this on the body rather than the face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 2, 2021
My skin type is combination/oily, and I'm currently pregnant with some blemishes. *Texture: Thin *Color: White *Scent: Fragrance-free *Application: Good (but due to thin consistency, requires longer massaging or patting) *Packaging: Tube (initially struggled to open the cap. Also, the thin consistency makes it a bit tricky to control the amount. Some product tends to stick to the cap) **Overall Review** I have sensitive skin that usually reacts with breakouts or redness if a product doesn't suit me. However, after using this for a week, I didn't experience any blemishes or adverse reactions, likely due to its good ingredients. Didn't really notice a cooling effect. The texture is thin and spreads easily, but there's a slight rich feel, so you need to massage or pat it in for absorption. It doesn't fully absorb, leaving a slightly slick, soft feeling at the end. Those who dislike any oily residue should be cautious, though it's not severe. It's not overly rich or long-lasting in terms of hydration, so for combination dehydrated skin, I recommend using it with an oil or another cream! I apply it morning and night after cleansing. While it doesn't make my skin feel extremely hydrated, consistent use does seem to reduce dryness compared to not using anything! As mentioned above, the texture is very thin, so it doesn't absorb immediately and requires massaging. The slight oily residue is a bit disappointing for someone like me who prefers a fresh feel. The difficulty in controlling the amount and product sticking to the cap is also a downside. The price seems a bit high too, which is another drawback. To maintain hydration, using a cream or oil after this product makes it last longer! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 2, 2021
First off, I love that it's a generous tube size and packed with skin-friendly ingredients. I have dry, sensitive skin prone to small bumps. This isn't your typical gel texture - it's more of an emulsion. Initially, it has a cooling effect as advertised, which feels nice, but it leaves a slightly oily finish. (Oddly, it seems to heat up over time...) So those with super sensitive skin might want to think twice. While it feels okay when applied alone, like an emulsion, my skin starts to feel dry as time passes. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 1, 2021
As one of The Hwahae Testers, I have super sensitive skin that's dry and prone to redness! So I can't just use any product - my skin reacts badly. When I first got this soothing gel, I wasn't sure what to expect. It turned out to be a white, emulsion-type product. It's very moisturizing and has a rich, oily texture! While it doesn't seem to suit my face, it has such great ingredients that I think it would work well on the body! I'd recommend those with oily skin or large pores to avoid this product, as it's quite rich in oils. It's a shame it's too oily for the face - it could have been nice otherwise. You might find it works well as a body emulsion on dry or itchy areas of skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 28, 2021
Even though I have combination dehydrated skin and sensitive skin, this product didn't cause any blemishes. The texture is soft, so it absorbs well. It gets absorbed quickly, and the ingredients are good, making it a lightweight option for daily use without any concerns. Since it's a large size, I think it'll last for a long time! I wasn't sure when to use it in my skincare routine, so I hadn't been using it. But when I applied it before a modeling mask, my skin didn't feel dry, and I felt like the mask was even more effective. It was difficult to control the amount, and since it has a rich feel, it might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin. When I applied this product to my face before using a modeling mask, my skin didn't feel dry at all! - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 23, 2021
First off, the size is quite generous! It comes in a 180ml tube, making it convenient to use and offering great value. I initially imagined a transparent aloe-like gel when I heard 'soothing gel', but as you can see in the photo, it's closer to an emulsion. The texture is quite watery with high hydration and rich in moisturizing properties. Right after applying it on the back of my hand, there was a glow, but it absorbs well and quickly. In winter, I usually add a drop or two of face oil to my emulsion, but with this product's rich formula, that won't be necessary. Due to its combination of hydration and rich texture, I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin types or for use during summer months. I'd recommend this for those with dry skin, especially during the dry transitional seasons.
