I exclusively use moisturizing foundations, and what I love about this one is how perfectly it matches my skin tone. It's an absolute perfect match, making my skin look incredibly good. As someone with dry skin who tends to get flushed and itchy when drinking alcohol, I'm impressed that this product doesn't cause any irritation even in those situations! With its hydrating nature come some unavoidable drawbacks. It tends to break down over time, requiring touch-ups, and it transfers onto masks. While I personally believe concealer is for coverage and don't mind this, if you have specific areas you want to hide, you'll need to use a concealer with this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 4, 2021
The color matches well and I've been using this cushion for about 3 years without any issues. It offers a range of shades that work well for Korean skin tones, and I really enjoyed the moisturizing feel when applying. While I used it without any problems, I can't say it's particularly outstanding. It's just an average product, as the name suggests. When my makeup starts to wear off, it doesn't fade gracefully. Spraying some mist before applying makeup gives it an even more hydrated feel. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 5, 2020
As someone with very dry skin, I was pleased that this cushion foundation didn't feel stiff when applying. Instead, it gave a lovely hydrating sensation. The adherence and longevity seem to be on the weaker side. I have a lot of freckles and combination dehydrated skin, which might be why it breaks down quickly. This product would probably suit those with fewer blemishes better. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 31, 2020
When I first used this, I was raving about how amazing it was. Looking back, it was during a time when my skin was at its absolute best. To be honest, at that point, anything I applied would have looked great on my skin. After that golden period passed, things went downhill for me. Now, let me share that not-so-great experience with you. My skin profile: - Complexion: between shades 19-21 - DSNT skin type - Extremely dry (face cracks even in summer, lacks oil and moisture balance, sensitive) - No acne - Lots of peach fuzz on face - Developed redness after using Estée Lauder essence So, here's what happens when someone with this skin type uses Finland: - Coverage is terrible - When it breaks down, it becomes patchy and clumpy - Transfers like crazy (leaves large marks on masks as if painted on) - Sits heavily on the skin surface! Doesn't adhere well, just feels thick and cakey - The included puff is useless, so I switched to my go-to puff, but the foundation itself seems to be the issue? Maybe it's just a bad combination - I'm between shades 19 and light 21, but this has a yellow undertone that creates a stark contrast. When it breaks down, the patchiness is embarrassingly noticeable - The plastic case looks cheap for its price point - Sensitive skin? Nope. I got small blemishes (Thankfully I used it all before it expired, but I'll never repurchase) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 15, 2020
Wow, I had no idea I was using Finland. Just found out today. There's absolutely nothing good about it. Coverage? Nope. Longevity? Nada. Pore concealing? Forget it. Skin texture? Not a chance. It's disappointing across the board. Other department store cushions usually excel in either hydration and radiance, or a matte finish with great adherence. This one? The hydration is just meh. As for the shades, Finland is way too yellow, while the next shade up is too light and pinkish. There's no in-between. The case feels cheap... and don't even get me started on the application and adherence - they're terrible. Coverage is mediocre at best. For a department store brand cushion, the only thing going for it is that it's slightly cheaper than others. You... won't be repurchasing this, that's for sure. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 19, 2020
The glow is absolutely incredible! Ever since I started using this, I've been getting so many compliments on my skin. What I love is that it's not an oily shine, but a natural radiance that catches the light beautifully. It's especially great in winter - my skin doesn't look dry or flaky at all, but rather like it's in top condition. Plus, it naturally brightens my complexion, so when I look at my made-up face, I almost forget it's not my bare skin looking that good! For me, probably because I apply a lot of skincare products underneath, it tends to break down unevenly, leaving patchy areas. That's really disappointing. For an even more amazing glow, try mixing a tiny bit of facial oil into your sunscreen before applying, then gently pat on your cushion foundation. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 10, 2020
I'm on my fifth compact already! I've tried so many cushion foundations, and most of them made my skin itch or hurt, but not this one! It's great at covering blemishes and acne scars, which I have quite a few of. It also does a fantastic job at concealing redness around the nose area. The shade seems to be around 21-22. Of course, cosmetics can vary from person to person, and some might experience blemishes, but for this level of coverage and lasting power, it's absolutely top-notch! The price is definitely the biggest drawback. While I don't usually skimp on cosmetics and don't mind spending, it's undeniably a bit of a burden. Also, when it starts to break down, it can settle into pores a bit. At first, it looks beautiful, but up close, you might notice it sitting in the pores as it wears off. And rather than being moisturizing, it feels more on the oily side. It starts off dewy but becomes more matte over time, so it's best to have a solid skincare base. I've found that using the included puff applicator gives the best adherence and finish for the NARS cushion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 16, 2019
My skin type is combination dehydrated - normal to dry in winter, oily in summer, and at its best in spring and fall. While I don't often get blemishes, I do have visible pores and tend to experience redness. For my skin type, this product offers good coverage without a pink undertone, which I appreciate. I use it from spring through early summer, and during this time it gives my skin a clean, semi-matte finish. In summer, it breaks down terribly, so I wouldn't recommend it for very oily skin types. It can feel a bit drying in winter. Other than that, I didn't find any particular drawbacks. It pairs well with other NARS products (like their concealer and stick foundation). Depending on your skincare routine, you can achieve a finish that ranges from semi-dewy to semi-matte. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 9, 2019
I prefer light, natural makeup, and this cushion gives the most beautiful skin finish of any I've used. It's also great for touch-ups. At first, I thought it faded gracefully, but with continued use, I noticed it accentuates dead skin cells and breaks down a bit. Also, the amount of product seems rather small. It works well for touch-ups. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 3, 2019
A great cushion foundation that's neither too dark nor too light. I loved how it kept my skin hydrated without feeling dry. The staying power is good for about 2-3 hours, but after that, it starts to break down gradually. You'll need to touch up after a few hours. As for coverage, it only conceals very faint blemishes.
