First off, I loved the natural look of shade 21. With the weather cooling down, I decided to buy this as I heard it's moisturizing yet still offers decent coverage. It's rare to see base products with ratings over 4 stars, so I figured there must be a good reason for its high score. Wait, what? I bought this cushion despite the high price because of its good ratings, promising hydration, and coverage. But is it normal for NARS refills to have such yellow oil? I was shocked at first, and then again by how it looked on my skin. My skin isn't particularly blemish-prone or porous, but this made my texture and pores stand out. Even with a thin layer, why does it look so messy? I've never had such poor application with other cushions. The case got dirty after just one day of use. It doesn't seem worth the 63,000 won price tag. I can't recommend this. The case and refill are sold separately. The case costs 23,000 won and the refill is 40,000 won. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 9, 2020
When first applied, it gives a glossy skin finish. It offers a range of color options, allowing for more nuanced selection. The packaging is also somewhat attractive, I suppose. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with both the longevity and coverage. Despite a strong recommendation from a friend, it just didn't work well for me. I wonder if using it in summer was the issue? The rich feeling was too much, and overall, I found it quite disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMar 27, 2020
It applies smoothly with excellent adherence, without any patchiness! Especially great for touch-ups. I'd say the best feature is definitely how well it clings to the skin. The most disappointing aspect is how oily it feels! I wish it were just a bit more matte. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2020
It's more moisturizing than I expected, which is fantastic! My blemishes don't seem to surface as much. However, as time passes, my skin tends to look oily, so I always carried oil blotting sheets with me. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 10, 2020
I'm on my fifth compact already! I've tried so many cushion foundations, and most of them made my skin itch or hurt, but not this one! It's great at covering blemishes and acne scars, which I have quite a few of. It also does a fantastic job at concealing redness around the nose area. The shade seems to be around 21-22. Of course, cosmetics can vary from person to person, and some might experience blemishes, but for this level of coverage and lasting power, it's absolutely top-notch! The price is definitely the biggest drawback. While I don't usually skimp on cosmetics and don't mind spending, it's undeniably a bit of a burden. Also, when it starts to break down, it can settle into pores a bit. At first, it looks beautiful, but up close, you might notice it sitting in the pores as it wears off. And rather than being moisturizing, it feels more on the oily side. It starts off dewy but becomes more matte over time, so it's best to have a solid skincare base. I've found that using the included puff applicator gives the best adherence and finish for the NARS cushion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2019
Effectively conceals redness Natural brightening effect Stays in place well after application Really lasts all day long - it's great! Doesn't cake up even on oily skin PEG ingredients don't agree with my skin, causing blemishes Slight breakouts on the chin Strangely, pimples appeared near my nose They keep growing, but subside when I stop using it Most oil is around the nose, seems like it's clogging pores there Applying multiple thin layers works best for a smooth, pretty finish without caking - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 17, 2019
As someone with a yellow undertone and rosy cheeks, I find the Finland shade matches perfectly. It's hydrating and effectively covers pores and redness. While I prefer a powdery finish, by afternoon it looks messy, as if oil has risen to the surface. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 22, 2019
The foundation didn't seem to break down much, which was nice. Oh, and the case is pretty! On the other hand, I absolutely love dewy finish foundations. I bought this incredibly expensive cushion, which doesn't even offer refills, because it's so famous and ranked #1 on Glowpick. However, it was just so-so, falling short of my expectations... If you have dry skin and love moisture, you might like it, but for my oily skin, it was way too hydrating... I usually use a moisturizing base with a semi-matte foundation on top, skipping powder. But when I used this cushion over my usual hydrating base, I ended up looking like an oil slick...lol. Personally, it was too greasy, and the coverage was mediocre... I got the Finland shade, which is supposed to be a light 21 tone, but it was very yellow and slightly dark. I really dislike the color... - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJun 6, 2019
Above all, it's incredibly hydrating and even with a thin layer, the coverage is medium to high! It doesn't settle into the creases around the nose and wears off beautifully. It's not great for summer use. Because it's so moisturizing, it tends to break down more easily and feels quite rich on the skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 26, 2019
Using this Finnish product is a delight! It adheres well even with multiple layers, and the cushion is lightweight and compact. The coverage is quite good, making it perfect for daily use and touch-ups. It's truly an all-around great product! As someone with oily skin, I noticed that after some time, there's a slight increase in oil production.
