The balm-type formula transforms into an oil-like consistency, allowing for a smooth application that feels like spreading sorbet on your skin. It's perfect for a gentle massage. Unlike pure oil cleansers, it doesn't run, making it convenient to use. It's also great for travel - just decant some into a small container. It works well as a first cleanse for stubborn makeup like foundation or mineral sunscreen that doesn't come off easily in one go. I wish it came in larger sizes, like 150ml or 200ml. After gently massaging it in, emulsify thoroughly with water. Then follow up with your second cleanse using a cleansing foam. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 28, 2024
After using only oils, I tried a sample night product and liked the ingredients, so I bought it. Both my sibling and I are using it without any blemishes. It's great that it keeps our skin moisturized even after cleansing. It feels like the amount is decreasing faster than expected, which is a bit disappointing. Apart from that, I don't have any other complaints. I'll probably repurchase it when I run out. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 15, 2024
As a first-step cleanser, it really delivers and does its job perfectly. It has gentle ingredients and leaves no discomfort on the skin after use. The price is a bit disappointing considering the amount you get. Other than that, there's nothing particularly unsatisfactory about it. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 6, 2024
20s, combination dehydrated skin, acne-prone + super sensitive skin Current skin condition: - Acne scars - Redness appears with even slight irritation - Severe deep dryness - Sensitive skin - Blackheads on nose Product selection criteria: - Presence/absence of sensitive ingredients - Non-drying products - Presence/absence of acne-triggering ingredients 1. Ingredients My skin is extremely sensitive, still prone to breakouts with slight irritation or lifestyle changes, even after improving from severe acne with dermatological treatment. I bought this product because I liked the ingredients, and I'm pleased that it effectively removes multiple layers of makeup while being gentle on the skin! 2. Overall review A product suitable for all skin types For acne-prone skin, I don't recommend cleansing oils. Cleansing milks have weak cleansing power for heavy makeup, so I use cleansing balms instead! My skin tends to be very dehydrated, but this product leaves my skin less dry after cleansing compared to other brands. Most importantly, it's gentle on the skin. Recommended for: Sensitive skin / Acne-prone skin The price feels a bit high for the amount of product. I wish there were more discounts or promotions available. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2024
As someone who regularly uses cleansing balms, I've noticed my skin getting a bit drier with age. That's why I'm always on the lookout for products that don't leave my skin feeling tight. When I opened the Hygge Green Cleansing Balm, I was excited to try it on my tired skin after a long day. I scooped out a bit and started massaging it in - wow! It melts away all the built-up impurities and makeup beautifully! It's absolutely fantastic. There's zero tightness after use, and it even removes eye makeup effectively! I'll definitely be repurchasing this. The only downside is the amount you get. While the container looks quite large, the actual product volume is a bit disappointing. I wish it came in a larger size! For first-time users who might be tempted to use a lot, just a small fingertip-sized amount is plenty for a good cleanse. It works great! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2024
I've tried various cleansing formulas - oils, waters, you name it. But for me, cleansing balms have always been the best fit. After sticking to other brands for a while, I finally got the chance to try Hygge's Soft Reset Green Cleansing Balm. Upon opening, you'll find a spatula inside. Some reviewers mention it's too small, but I prefer to scoop it out with my fingers anyway, so that didn't bother me at all. This product is fragrance-free, which is great for those sensitive to scents or who prefer their cosmetics without added fragrances. The texture is slightly firmer than a sorbet, but still soft. It doesn't slip around and melts nicely with body heat. Now, cleansing effectiveness is obviously the most important factor for any cleansing product, and this one passes with flying colors! I apply a suitable amount to my dry face, melt it with my hands' warmth, and massage it all over. Then, I add a bit of water, roll it around again, and rinse. It removes makeup thoroughly and effectively. What I love about the finish is that it doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped of moisture, nor does it leave any residue. It strikes a perfect balance, leaving my skin feeling comfortably hydrated and fresh. I'm satisfied with everything from its cleansing power to the after-feel, so there's not much to complain about. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the price seems a bit high for the amount you get. Since I wear makeup almost daily and use cleansing balm every day, I can see myself going through this pretty quickly! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSep 19, 2024
Unscented, so it doesn't irritate. Many cleansing balms contain fragrances, but as someone with sensitive skin, I actually prefer products without scent - it's more comfortable and better for me. I liked that this Hygge product is also fragrance-free. It seems like a product anyone can use regardless of their skin type. Excellent cleansing power. I don't wear mascara, so I can remove all my makeup with just this cleansing balm. It removes eyeliner and lip products well too, so I'm satisfied with its cleansing effectiveness. It fulfills its primary function admirably. My skin doesn't feel tight and is comfortable after use. I have combination dehydrated skin that's prone to occasional blemishes. After using this product, my skin doesn't feel tight but instead feels moisturized and comfortable. I had some blemishes on my forehead and chin, and this didn't make them worse! While it doesn't make blemishes disappear, it doesn't irritate the skin or cause additional breakouts, which is great. The size isn't very large. For people like me who use cleansing balms generously, it might run out quickly. It would be great if they came out with a larger size option. Make sure to melt a sufficient amount of the cleansing balm in your hands before massaging it onto your face. All cleansing balms may not remove makeup effectively and might seem insufficient if applied directly to the skin without melting first! If you follow the usage instructions properly, it's much more convenient and gentler on the skin than cleansing oils or waters. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 19, 2024
I'm incredibly grateful for this precious opportunity! Perfect timing too, as I was just running out of my cleansing oil. I'm excited to share my honest thoughts after using this cleansing balm. 1. Design: It comes in a round plastic case, similar to Banila Co's. The lid is white, while the main container has a fresh, light green color. It's refreshingly simple! Inside the lid, you'll find a small spatula for scooping out the product. 2. Texture: The balm has just the right consistency - not too hard, easy to scoop with the spatula. It quickly melts and thins out when rubbed between your hands. After massaging it on your face, it rinses off easily with water, leaving no residue. Fantastic! 3. Scent: Completely fragrance-free! No matter how much I tried to detect a scent, there's absolutely none. 4. Effectiveness: As a busy mom, I don't wear heavy makeup like I used to, but I still apply sunscreen and cushion foundation daily. So, I always use a cleansing oil or balm for my evening routine. As mentioned earlier, after massaging it in and rinsing with water, my skin feels clean without any lingering residue. I love how it cleanses quickly without leaving a slippery feeling. I hope my review is helpful! Honestly, I can't think of any downsides yet! If I had to nitpick, maybe I'd ask for a larger size? Haha! Pro tip: Instead of applying the balm directly to your face, scoop out a suitable amount with the spatula, melt it between your hands, then massage it onto your face. This method helps remove makeup quickly and effectively. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSep 18, 2024
As someone who tends to wear heavy eye makeup, I often struggle with removing it completely, even with cleansing oils. However, this product worked wonders! It effectively removed my makeup, which was a pleasant surprise. A friend of mine with super sensitive skin also tried it and mentioned that it didn't cause any irritation, which is great! The product comes in a small size and isn't in a tube format, which makes it a bit tricky to call it completely hygienic. If you're used to non-tube packaging, you might find it okay, but it's something to consider. For the best results, start by focusing on the areas with the heaviest makeup, gently massaging the product in circular motions. Then gradually work your way to areas with lighter makeup. This method ensures a thorough cleanse and leaves your skin feeling fresh! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 15, 2024
I've only used Banila Co's cleansing balm before, so I'm comparing this to that one. Cleansing effectiveness: Pretty standard. Seems similar to Banila Co. Scent: Fragrance-free Texture: Typical cleansing balm consistency The finish is a bit different - Hygee leaves your skin feeling moisturized. Banila felt a bit drier, while this product has a hydrating finish. What I particularly liked was the packaging. The box clearly shows how to dispose of the lid, container, and cover, which I found really helpful. There's not much difference from other brands, but it has less product and is more expensive. It seems to lack value for money when it comes to actually purchasing and using it.
