This cleansing balm is a game-changer compared to cleansing oils. With oils, I always had to deal with messy spills and finicky storage. But with this balm, I can scoop out just the amount I need, keeping things neat and tidy. It's so much easier to store, and the cleansing effectiveness is on par with oils. I've come to prefer the balm format, to be honest. The only downside is the price point. It's on the expensive side, so I'd recommend waiting for a buy-one-get-one-free deal to make it more worthwhile. - ga*********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 23, 2025
I've been using this cleansing balm consistently since last year, and it's become my go-to product. I've tried other cleansing products, but this one suits me so well that it's earned a permanent spot in my routine. It cleanses extremely effectively, and there's minimal deep dryness after use. However, since I have oily skin, that might be why. For those with dry skin, it might feel a bit more drying. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I experienced a bit of tightness after cleansing, but it was still acceptable. - 41****Combination SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 17, 2025
I gave my friend a cleansing balm and foam set as a birthday gift, and they were really satisfied with it! It seems like we could make the spatula size a bit larger. It's too small. - jy****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 16, 2025
I am a person with acne-prone combination skin, so I get pimples right away no matter what I apply. But this product was really gentle... My skin didn't become extremely clear or improve drastically, but at least it didn't get worse, which is already something. It seems to be gradually getting clearer though. The texture looks firm, but it melts right away upon application. And although many say the tube is small, I was satisfied with the size - it feels like I use less product each time because of the smaller size. I would definitely repurchase this! I switched from cleansing oil to cleansing balm, and I'm definitely using more product (maybe because I can't control the amount as well) compared to when I used the oil. The conclusion is that I'll likely spend more money than when I used the oil, but there are no other downsides. Just one spoonful, please. - cb******Combination SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 10, 2025
I've been using this product for about 6 months now, and I'm on my fifth bottle. My skin is super sensitive, with dry areas around the edges of my face, but an oil explosion in the T-zone. Strong cleansers don't clean well, and gentle ones make my lips crack. However, this one has no irritation at all, yet its cleansing effectiveness is high! It's especially great at removing whiteheads, and with consistent use, even blackheads disappear. There's not really any reason to not recommend it! Maybe you need to massage it in for a bit longer...? - ki*******Combination SkinRecommendedMay 6, 2025
Hygge is a brand you can trust! It has great cleansing effectiveness and seems to lighten blackheads too! There's really nothing disappointing or lacking about this product while using it! - in********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 29, 2025
It's gentle and effectively removes sebum. I have super sensitive combination dehydrated skin (currently dealing with folliculitis on my chin, occasionally with purulent inflammation). I used Ba**ko cleansing balm for about 10 years, but switched to this product because I heard Hwahae was gentle. I can't really feel much difference in cleansing effectiveness and sebum removal, so I'm planning to stick with Hwahae! Compared to Ba**ko, the value for money is a bit disappointing, but I'm putting up with it because of the ingredients haha - my********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 22, 2025
It absorbs well and has great cleansing effectiveness. I have blemish-prone oily skin, but I'm using it without any issues or breakouts. Sometimes it's a bit inconvenient because the part where the tweezers should be stored inside the lid can be difficult to open. - qk***********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 7, 2025
It melts nicely when applied and effectively removes makeup. I didn't experience any particular irritation. Personally, I find myself reaching for cleansing oil more often. I'm not sure it's worth the effort of twisting open the lid and scraping out the solid balm with my nails. - di********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 4, 2025
The balm-type formula transforms into an oil-like consistency, allowing for a smooth application that feels like spreading sorbet on your skin. It's perfect for a gentle massage. Unlike pure oil cleansers, it doesn't run, making it convenient to use. It's also great for travel - just decant some into a small container. It works well as a first cleanse for stubborn makeup like foundation or mineral sunscreen that doesn't come off easily in one go. I wish it came in larger sizes, like 150ml or 200ml. After gently massaging it in, emulsify thoroughly with water. Then follow up with your second cleanse using a cleansing foam.
