#Clean Ingredients #Convenient #Cleansing Effectiveness #Hydration Reviewer's Skin Type: - Extremely dry - Prone to redness - Sensitive - Atopic - Fine lines Reviewer's Preferences: - Hydrating and fresh - Clean ingredients - Fragrance-free -------------------------- Hygge Soft Reset Green Cleansing Balm - Doesn't drip like typical cleansing balms - Fragrance-free - Pretty light green color from natural ingredients, not artificial dyes - Emulsifies well - Great at removing makeup (so-so for blackheads) - Leaves skin feeling moisturized - Clean ingredients - No allergic reactions or blemishes (will update if any occur with continued use) After careful consideration, I switched from cleansing oils to this Hygge cleansing balm. Overall, I think it's better than oils, but for blackhead removal, the oils I used before (mainly Make P:rem, Witch's Pouch, Skin1004, B.plane) seemed slightly more effective. (I used the same rolling time for comparison.) Cleansing oils seem to be more effective at removing blackheads. Also, the moisturizing finish might feel like residue to some people. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 1, 2024
As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to folliculitis and super sensitive skin, I've finally settled on this product after trying various brands of cleansing oils and balms. It's my Nth repurchase! Even from the first use, there's no tingling sensation, and while gentle, it thoroughly cleanses as a first step cleanser. I'm extremely satisfied and highly recommend it! The most disappointing aspect is that the price has increased significantly recently compared to before. Make sure to emulsify the product thoroughly! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSep 26, 2024
When removing makeup, typical oil or water-based removers tend to drip and can be honestly inconvenient. However, the Hygge Cleansing Balm melts with the warmth of your hands for easy application. A little water emulsifies it, and it rinses off cleanly! It doesn't leave that waxy residue typical of balms. Best of all, using this instead of oil makes it easier to manage blackheads and sebum daily. Since it doesn't run, it's less of a hassle to use. The price is a bit steep. It's more expensive than the balm I was previously using and satisfied with, so I probably won't purchase it again. I felt the price was too high for daily blackhead management. Also, the spatula is too small and inconvenient to store. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2024
Compared to the famous cleansing balm from BNLK, this product has a creamier texture while the other is more sherbet-like. I loved how gentle it felt during application, with minimal irritation. I usually use a separate remover for eye makeup and then cleanse the rest of my face with oil or balm. This product's cleansing effectiveness was more than sufficient. It even removed mascara thoroughly with careful rolling. It emulsifies well too. Despite having blemish-prone skin, it didn't cause any breakouts, and the scent is pleasantly mild. I didn't find any particular drawbacks! While I feel that cleansing balms don't differ drastically from one another, this product certainly holds its own against others without any noticeable shortcomings. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2024
I've always used cleansing oils to remove my makeup, but experiencing Hygge's cleansing balm was a game-changer! (I absolutely love it!) Cleansing Effectiveness: It removes most makeup thoroughly. For waterproof eye makeup, I'd recommend using a separate eye makeup remover, as it's not ideal to rub the eye area too vigorously with a balm anyway. Apart from that, it does an excellent job of removing face makeup and color cosmetics, leaving my skin feeling fresh and clean. Scent: It's fragrance-free. I've tried other brands' cleansing balms before, but they had a strange artificial scent that made me stop using them. I really appreciate that the Hygge product is unscented. There's honestly nothing to criticize about the product's performance. The spatula is a bit small, but it didn't cause any issues when using the product. A little goes a long way - you can cover a large area with just a small amount! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2024
As someone who regularly uses cleansing balms, I've noticed my skin getting a bit drier with age. That's why I'm always on the lookout for products that don't leave my skin feeling tight. When I opened the Hygge Green Cleansing Balm, I was excited to try it on my tired skin after a long day. I scooped out a bit and started massaging it in - wow! It melts away all the built-up impurities and makeup beautifully! It's absolutely fantastic. There's zero tightness after use, and it even removes eye makeup effectively! I'll definitely be repurchasing this. The only downside is the amount you get. While the container looks quite large, the actual product volume is a bit disappointing. I wish it came in a larger size! For first-time users who might be tempted to use a lot, just a small fingertip-sized amount is plenty for a good cleanse. It works great! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2024
It dissolves gently while effectively removing makeup! I had previously used Hygge's cleansing foam and remembered liking it because it's a vegan product that didn't cause any blemishes and had gentle ingredients. I was thrilled to try their cleansing balm this time! The ingredients are skin-friendly, and on days when I'm not wearing heavy makeup, I feel like the cleansing balm alone could remove everything with just one cleanse if I emulsify it well and wipe it off. So far, I haven't found anything disappointing about it while using it! On days when I've applied sunscreen and powder, I use the cleansing balm to dissolve my makeup, then add water to emulsify it before rinsing. I found that I don't even need a second cleanse as my skin feels clean without any residue. However, on days when I've worn heavier makeup like foundation or cushion, it's probably best to follow up with a second cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2024
I have combination-oily skin in summer and combination-dry skin in other seasons, with sensitive skin overall. Even in midsummer, I tend to get dead skin cells easily, so managing skin texture is crucial. I was satisfied with this product as it seems to effectively remove fine dead skin cells. I usually wear light makeup, so I do a deep cleanse with just one product in the evening. The cleansing effectiveness and the slippery feeling during emulsification are just right. I've noticed some products suddenly melt away during emulsification. I'm willing to spend my own money to purchase this product. The spatula was a bit small, which was inconvenient. Also, the price isn't particularly cheap, so I hope there will be more discounts in the future. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2024
I've tried other cleansing balms like B and M, but this one melts more gently than both. As someone with super sensitive skin, I found it to be low-irritation and the scent wasn't off-putting. Most importantly, isn't effective cleansing what matters in a cleansing balm? My skin feels soft and my pores feel deeply cleansed. I love how it provides a deep cleanse without drying out my skin, leaving it hydrated. The texture isn't overly hard, more like a sorbet that melts smoothly with your skin's temperature. I prefer cleansing balms over oils for managing blemishes, so I highly recommend this! The scent is pleasant, the texture is great, and I love how the spatula is separate from the container! Can't find any downsides. If you notice blackheads, take an appropriate amount and gently massage your nose with a silicone brush. It effectively removes both blackheads and whiteheads. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 20, 2024
The most refreshing aspect was how incredibly fresh my skin felt after rinsing. I used to rely on foam cleansers to remove the slippery residue left by cleansing balms, but this product left absolutely no residue. It's lightweight and rinses off easily, while still effectively removing makeup. Due to its lightweight nature, you shouldn't expect it to remove sebum or blackheads as effectively as an oil cleanser might. While it removes makeup well, this aspect was a bit disappointing. In my opinion, this would be ideal for those with dry skin. It excels in makeup removal, leaves no residue for a fresh finish, and has a lightweight texture.
