After using this cleansing balm, I can give a more accurate review since I don't do a second cleanse and finish with just the balm. I have combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin, but I've been using this daily without any blemishes! I love that it doesn't cause any tingling or burning sensation. The scent is almost non-existent, which really gives it that gentle feel. It scoops out smoothly and melts well with body heat. The emulsification process is great too! Even though I only use the balm without a second cleanse, my skin feels fresh and thoroughly cleansed. Now for the most important part - the cleansing effectiveness! The reason I use cleansing balms is to remove full makeup in one go without multiple cleansing steps (because I'm lazy). This one removes everything, including mascara and eyeliner, in one sweep. While I am thorough with my cleansing, it's great that this balm alone can do the job. The spatula is a nice touch. I always use one with cleansing products as I find it unhygienic to scoop with fingers, especially with nail polish on. I love that the spatula is built into the lid, so there's no chance of losing it when traveling! The spatula is a bit thin and curved, which I found slightly inconvenient. Its thinness makes it hard to control the amount, and the curve makes it difficult to scoop. It's cute because it's small overall, but it's more cute than functional. This is purely personal, but I wish the lid was a pop-open type rather than twist-off. Cleansing is usually the last step before resting at home, and the wide lid makes twisting it off a bit tedious. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 28, 2023
After using SDM's MCKPL cleansing milk, I decided to try this one when it was on sale. It feels like it removes makeup more effectively. I mainly use it to remove mineral sunscreen, and it leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. The amount control can be tricky for first-time users, and it's a bit on the pricey side. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 23, 2023
After always sticking to oils, I finally tried a cleansing balm for the first time. I bought two different brands, including this one, and I'm extremely satisfied. Compared to oils, it has a softer application and cleanses without irritation. At first, I struggled with controlling the amount to use. However, I'm gradually getting used to it! It's essential to adjust the quantity to avoid an overly greasy cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 1, 2023
It's so gentle and removes makeup effortlessly. When you dampen it a bit and let it dissolve, your makeup just melts away without any irritation. The amount seems a bit small, and it's tricky to control how much you use. But once you get used to it, it gets a bit easier! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 27, 2023
I love that it doesn't sting my eyes or cause irritation. It cleanses effectively, and after rinsing, my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth. The spoon used to be larger, but I noticed it's smaller now. At first, it was tricky to measure the right amount, but you get the hang of it with practice. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 29, 2023
I had never tried a cleansing balm before, and I didn't realize it could be this good. Since it doesn't run, there's no waste, and it comes with a spatula which makes it convenient to use. It has enough cleansing effectiveness to remove everything except waterproof mascara. I even use it occasionally when I'm not wearing makeup but concerned about sebum, and it leaves my skin texture feeling smooth. Following up with a light foam cleanser as a second step leaves my skin clean without any residual slippery feeling - I love it! Use it quickly after opening... If even a little water gets in, the smell changes immediately! (This might be obvious, but) If you accidentally get water on your hands, you can still use oil cleansers, but not balms... It's a bit inconvenient to use hygienically. Since this was my first time using a balm, I found it difficult to control the amount. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinFeb 15, 2023
Oh? This is nice! It's my first time using a cleansing balm, and I thought I'd have to wipe it off with a tissue. It feels lighter than cleansing oil, which I like. I also appreciate how gentle it is on my skin. The downside is the somewhat tedious process of opening the lid, scooping with a spoon, and closing it again before use. But I guess that's unavoidable. Also, I'm still figuring out how much product to use. This balm is great for daily evening cleansing, especially for those with oily skin who wear light makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 26, 2022
The texture transforms beautifully with the warmth of your palms. It's impressive that it leaves no oily residue even when rinsed off with just water. There's no lingering feeling after use either. That's why I'm definitely repurchasing. The downside is that it's a bit tricky to control the amount when scooping out the balm. Sadly, this means I end up using it up faster than expected. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 23, 2022
I got this at a great price during the Hwahae sale. It's gentle and has good ingredients. The downside of this cleansing balm is that it's hard to control the amount. There's a spatula, but once you scoop it out, it feels unsanitary to put it back. You can use less than you think, but I always end up wasting some because I can't get the amount right. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinJul 14, 2022
It removes makeup well, is gentle on the skin, and I really like it. I bought it as part of a set at a great price. Since it's in a balm form, it requires a bit more effort to cleanse compared to an oil. Also, it's a little tricky to control the amount you use.
