I decided to try Aromatica because of its reputation for good ingredients. It comes out like a thin cream and applies with a watery, hydrating texture. When you put it on, it's not exactly lightweight - there's quite a bit of richness! It provides a fairly strong brightening effect, almost like you're wearing makeup. If you have a fair complexion, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. After some time, it settles nicely. The metal ball inside helps mix the product well for easy application. While it seems to absorb well, there's something odd about it. It spreads easily like water, but feels heavy on the skin - almost like using a matte product. Could it be due to the zinc oxide? It feels quite dry. After application, my skin feels a bit suffocated, so I ended up mixing it with a very hydrating sunscreen. It's also quite rich in oils... In winter, it might be tolerable, but the oiliness is still challenging. I suspect the 'glow' it claims to give is actually just shine from excess oil. It leaves my hands feeling greasy too. As someone who applies sunscreen generously, I find the feel of this product, which also contains serum, quite unpleasant. When applying with hands, it pills and creates little bits that roll off. The scent isn't great either. I just can't bring myself to use this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 1, 2021
I've been wanting to try this product for a while, so I grabbed it when it went on sale. Well... haha! First off, although it's called a serum, it's not that runny! I thought it would have a sun milk texture, but it's more like an emulsion! The brightening effect is definitely noticeable. Since I don't usually wear much makeup, it's perfect to just apply this one product for a light coverage! Of course, the effect fades over time. It's definitely hydrating, so it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or patchy. Also, it doesn't seem to irritate my skin or cause any breakouts, so it feels like a gentle product. The smell is awful... It's like a mix of old soy milk, vitamin C powder, and ramen seasoning. Despite its many benefits, the scent overpowers everything! This oddly sticky smell... You did test this before releasing it, right? Also, it's oilier than I expected. It has more of a rich feel than a hydrating serum, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 18, 2021
Well, it's free from harmful ingredients. Aromatica is a brand I quite like. As someone with combination skin, I really dislike oiliness and stickiness, but this product is extremely greasy and tacky. It leaves a white cast, making it difficult to apply evenly, which can result in a patchy appearance. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin or anyone who dislikes a shiny finish. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 9, 2021
- It's a mineral sunscreen! I feel more at ease using mineral over chemical sunscreens in summer. - Contains vitamin C, which helps brighten dull skin - a great bonus for a sunscreen you apply daily. - The brightening effect is perfect for those who want to even out their complexion for quick outings without looking too dark. - The scent: Remember Solar C? It smells like a concentrated version of that. Even I, who usually don't mind fragrances, found it unpleasant. It really put me off using it. - The second reason I hesitate to use it is the stickiness. To put it nicely, it gives a 'dewy' look, but honestly, it makes your face look oily and shiny. I applied it on my arms too, and it felt sticky and looked glossy, as if I was sweating. - The brightening effect is weak and doesn't last long. Recommended for those who prefer a subtle brightening effect and a dewy finish. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAug 3, 2021
I love that it doesn't sting my eyes. It doesn't make you excessively white, just gives a subtle brightening effect, so it's comfortable to use. Even if you layer it multiple times, it doesn't pill. In summer, my T-zone becomes an oil slick. These days, due to masks, the area around my mouth has so many dead skin cells... While this product isn't completely matte, when oil builds up on the T-zone later, it feels like it's sliding off and getting shiny. You can reapply on the go, but it's not ideal for oily skin. Also, on days when my mouth area has severe flaking, nothing sticks to it, including this product, unfortunately. Applying thin layers multiple times improves its longevity. If you apply too much at once, it feels like it's sitting on top of the skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 2, 2021
The sun serum has a great texture that absorbs well! (It feels like applying a light emulsion.) I was pleasantly surprised that there was less white cast than expected, which made me like it even more! After some time, a lot of oil starts to surface on the skin. While I can tolerate other aspects, the biggest drawback for me is the scent it is quite bothersome. I am not sure what exactly it smells like. I have gotten somewhat used to it now and can use it, but initially, I disliked it so much that I kept using my previous sunscreen. The consistency is too runny, making it difficult to control the amount. Powder is a must since it can get quite oily!
