It doesn't leave residue on your hands. Other than that, I'm not sure what else to say. You can get it a bit cheaper on Coupang, and it's generally less expensive than other purple shampoos out there. They claim it neutralizes yellow tones and changes the color, but I didn't notice any difference whatsoever. The shampoo is so thick that it takes longer to wash your hair. When you first pump it, there's some purple mixed in, but on the second and third pump, there's no purple at all. It's like some powder has settled at the bottom, so it doesn't come out consistently. I'm planning to try a different purple shampoo next time. - ki******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedNov 26, 2023
While searching for a color-depositing shampoo, I was looking for a product with gentle ingredients and no color transfer on hands. That's when I decided to try the Moda Moda product. Despite being a color-depositing shampoo, it lathers well and is easy to use. The pump doesn't dispense the product smoothly, and sometimes it's a bit difficult to get the product out. - wb****Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 26, 2023
I've heard that you shouldn't touch color-depositing shampoos with bare hands, but it's great that this one can be used without gloves. It seems perfect for toning down a DIY hair dye job gone wrong! To really see results, you need to leave it on for about 3 minutes, which is honestly quite challenging. It doesn't lather much either, so I didn't get that refreshing feeling after shampooing. - eh******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 21, 2023
I bought this shampoo out of curiosity when I saw it on sale at Olive Young! To be honest, I can't really tell if there's any color change. I just bought it because I was curious. Let's buy it without having too high expectations! - jh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 27, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

This is apparently due to natural browning since there are no artificial colorants. • While it may not dramatically change color as advertised, it does help neutralize yellowish tones! • Achieving a dramatic color correction is challenging • The scent is reminiscent of a subtle hair dye fragrance • The price is on the steep side • If you're concerned about the hefty price tag and wish for more lather, consider mixing it with a bit of regular shampoo for a more economical option! - an*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 26, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Even with my extremely oily scalp, I felt it cleaned thoroughly. Scent: While it might be a love-it-or-hate-it situation, I found it pleasant and quite usable... Color: Unlike other purple shampoos or color-preserving shampoos that often feel thick and intensely pigmented, the Modamoda shampoo feels light, and the color isn't overwhelming. It gives the impression that it won't stain your towels. Staining: This is Modamoda's biggest advantage. Unlike other color-preserving shampoos that often stain, this one doesn't at all. However, it seems to darken a bit when exposed to air(?). Effectiveness: I have medium-toned brown hair with some grays, and I dye it frequently. My color isn't very vibrant, so I wondered if a color-preserving shampoo would make a difference. It might be my imagination, but it seems to slow down the fading process... I've only used it for a few days, so I'll need to use it more, but I'm inclined to continue using it. Price: The price is a bit disappointing... Hair texture: While I loved it because I have extremely oily hair, my family members who tried it said it made their hair feel stiff. But I noticed this with Modamoda's original shampoo (black) too, so... Leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing. If you want to slow down color changes, use it only 2-3 times a week. - yj*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 26, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The scent reminds me of chamomile, which made the whole shampooing experience enjoyable. I've recently bleached and dyed my hair, so I can't fully comment on its color-protecting effects yet, but I'm really impressed with how well it lathers. I'm not sure if it's because the cleansing power is too strong, but when I use this shampoo alone, my hair feels extremely stiff and tends to tangle a bit. It's a bit disappointing. - ku****Combination SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 26, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It lathers well and leaves a refreshing feeling. It seems like it would be a great alternative to everyday shampoos. Like other reviewers mentioned, the scent is a bit off-putting. While there's hardly any lingering fragrance after rinsing, it's still noticeable during use. I'm not sure if it's due to the fragrance listed in the ingredients. - ks*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJul 25, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It lathers well and has great cleansing effectiveness. The fragrance is subtle, so it wasn't off-putting. 2. I had used up a bottle of hair dye shampoo from another brand, which left residue on my hands and nails. This one doesn't leave any residue. 3. Among the hair dye shampoos I've seen, this one has the best ingredients. 4. Although the case is large for its volume, it contains a refill pack inside as shown in the photo. This makes it easy to refill and convenient to dispose of as recyclable waste. As for the drawbacks: 1. Since it's not specifically for gray hair and I used it on my grays, the coloring effect was minimal. I later found out that Modamoda has a separate shampoo (yellow) specifically for gray hair. I plan to buy and use that one. 2. As someone with shoulder-length hair, I found my hair quite stiff after use. It seems to get even stiffer if left for a long time. My husband with short hair says it's fine for him. 3. I feel like I'm losing more hair. My husband with short hair doesn't experience this feeling. - av******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJul 25, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Just one pump creates an impressive amount of foam. The foam is dense and creamy, not light, giving a clear sense that it won't irritate the scalp. 2. It's noticeably better at preventing hair from becoming flat. I always stress about my hair losing volume and use a hair dryer to add body, but in summer it quickly becomes greasy and flat. While this doesn't completely solve the summer issue, it definitely extends the duration of volume. Some might find it makes hair feel stiff, but I actually liked that. Any stiffness at the ends can be easily resolved with a bit of hair essence. 3. It's great that it doesn't stain the face or hands. Especially when it comes to nail staining, there's often no solution, but with this product, I can use it worry-free as it doesn't leave any color behind. > The packaging was disappointing. The product I received had a loose dispenser part. Despite this, I tried to use it, but the product came out from inside rather than the tip of the nozzle, making it difficult to use at first. I managed to adjust it somehow. > Those sensitive to fragrances might not like this. While the scent doesn't linger strongly in the hair after washing, there's a sweet, honey-like aroma during cleansing that I didn't enjoy. > For those who dislike stiff hair overall but want volume at the roots, I found it works great to apply essence or leave-in treatment just to the ends. > While the dense foam is nice, it can feel a bit thick at times. I found that adding a bit of water to my hands while lathering made the foam even richer and easier to work through my hair without feeling heavy.
