Honest review time! I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Hwahae Tester, but I'll give you my unbiased thoughts. I initially planned to test this at a water park to see if it would irritate my skin, but due to shipping issues, I couldn't bring it along. I'll update that part later when I use it outdoors. For everyday use, it seems perfect for nighttime application. It felt a bit heavy for morning use, but it worked well for calming those pesky whiteheads before bed! Rating: 3.5/5 Skin type: - Prone to cystic acne and whiteheads - Sensitive and combination skin - Lots of heat in the cheek area Before and after: My skin had been extra sensitive lately, with lots of whiteheads and a few cystic pimples popping up. After using it for 3 nights, I noticed a significant reduction in whiteheads. My cheeks and forehead felt much smoother! My skin is combination dehydrated and acne-prone! Lately, the weather's been so humid that my skin's been super sensitive and prone to excess oil. When choosing a cream, I prioritize how it absorbs. I was worried it might be heavy because of the 'balm' in its name, but it had a much lighter texture than I expected! It definitely lingered on the skin a bit longer than fast-absorbing moisturizers, but even for someone like me who dislikes heavy products, I could apply it in a thin layer comfortably. I used it in the evening after toner, spreading a very thin layer all over, and then adding an extra light layer on red, irritated areas. The next morning, while it wasn't a complete miracle, I could see a noticeable improvement in my skin's condition. It's true that the texture might be a bit rich for combination dehydrated or oily skin types in summer. So I'll use it on days when my skin is irritated, and then make it a daily part of my routine in fall and winter! I highly recommend this for those with dry skin! The packaging is also so pretty! It didn't cause any blemishes, making it suitable for sensitive skin types. I have extremely dehydrated yet oily skin, which is a major concern for me. Surprisingly, the Nautically Calming Balm was effective in addressing my deep dryness. When I applied it before bed, it kept my skin incredibly moisturized. I particularly loved how my skin felt slightly plumper and more elastic in the morning after using this product.
