It's perfect for the chilly weather we're having lately, offering abundant hydration that I absolutely love. Sometimes, deeply moisturizing products can leave a heavy residue if not absorbed well, making skin feel stuffy. However, the Aerial's Nap Calming Balm, despite its rich texture, melts into the skin upon contact with body heat, leaving no uncomfortable feeling. After applying it generously before bed, I wake up to incredibly soft and smooth skin - it's amazing! The packaging is also a vibrant blue color that's totally Instagram-worthy and collectible. Even the box is surprisingly beautiful! It's great for soothing and moisturizing, helping to alleviate redness and blemish marks.
ConsIf I had to point out one drawback, it would be the metal tube packaging. While it looks stylish and pretty, it can be a bit tricky to use. The sides can easily split open and the tube can get sharply creased. Once it's creased, it's hard to smooth out, so you need to handle it carefully.

The hydration lasts long. Usage period: I've been using it consistently since the Ariul's Nap days. Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin with occasional blemishes. Extremely sensitive due to frequent skin treatments, thin skin. I've been using this since I first bought it during a Wadiz funding campaign for Ariul's Nap! I use both the white and blue versions together! Haha This blue cream is... gentle and makes my skin feel moisturized and soft. It's perfect for applying at night. My skin is super sensitive and usually stings and turns red when I apply products with various ingredients, but this one doesn't cause any of that. Especially during this holiday, I had a skin treatment, and even the hydrating ampoule recommended by the clinic was too stinging to use. So I thought, 'Let's try this instead,' and surprisingly, there was no stinging at all, and it even calmed down the irritation. When I applied the blue one, it felt like it created a protective barrier??? It felt like it was protecting my irritated skin. Also, as I have combination dehydrated skin (I was acne-prone during my school days), I used to have quite severe redness, but after using this, it's like my skin's moisture balance has improved. The redness has significantly reduced, and my complexion has brightened noticeably. In the past, I thought I had oily skin, so I used creams that were purely hydrating, but that actually made my skin produce more oil. The Nautical blue cream, when applied, doesn't feel oily, but it's not just hydrating either. It has a slightly rich feel that's just right, so when I wake up, my skin definitely feels soft. The ingredients are gentle enough for babies to use, so I trust it. I used to get so tired of searching for products by watching YouTube and reading blog reviews, but now that I've found my holy grail product, it's so convenient and great!
ConsAt first, I thought applying a thick layer would make it more moisturizing, so I put on a lot, but it started to pill. A thin layer is sufficient. The previous packaging was aluminum-like, which made it a bit inconvenient to squeeze out every last bit, but the renewed packaging seems more user-friendly.
TipI recommend applying a thin layer. If you feel it's not enough, try layering it thinly multiple times. When I have time, I sometimes use a spatula to apply it. It feels like it absorbs better that way!

I usually hate writing reviews, but my friend kept raving about it, so I gave it a try. The next day after applying it, I noticed the blemishes on my forehead had calmed down! I've been so stressed about breakouts popping up, you know? They say it's good for deep dryness, so I guess that's why. This product truly works hard!
ConsI initially thought the lack of fragrance was a downside, but I've heard that fragrances can actually be bad for your skin, so I guess it's not really a con after all!
TipHere's a tip I got from a friend: apply a slightly thicker layer at night before bed for deep hydration. I tried it, and while I wouldn't recommend going overboard, a slightly thicker application does seem to work like a night mask. The next day, my skin definitely feels more hydrated.

Usually, my face gets dry and tight this time of year, but after applying this as the final step in my nighttime routine, I woke up with no tightness at all! I love how it leaves my skin feeling soft and velvety, rather than greasy or shiny. Texture: Despite its rich consistency, it's not sticky at all and provides just the right amount of hydration. During seasonal changes, layering products can sometimes feel heavy, but this Calming Balm doesn't feel suffocating at all! Scent: It's fragrance-free! As someone who dislikes the typical cosmetic scent, I'm extremely satisfied with this. Packaging: The blue and white packaging is absolutely gorgeous! The included stickers are adorable too! The aesthetically pleasing design makes me want to reach for it again and again.
ConsApplication Experience: One downside is that it might not provide enough hydration for those with dry or combination dehydrated skin. In the dead of winter, I'd recommend using it alongside a hydrating moisturizer. Blemish Improvement: I'm not sure about its effectiveness in improving blemishes. However, it didn't cause any breakouts when I used it. Tube Design: I'm not sure if it's just me, but the tube cap is quite stiff and difficult to open.
TipPro Tip: My usual nighttime routine was toner pad, serum, then moisturizer, which got me through summer. But as the seasons changed and my skin started feeling tight, I added this Calming Balm as a final step. It's definitely reduced morning tightness and seems to help my makeup apply more smoothly!

It was great to wake up with skin that wasn't dry and felt soothed. Thick consistency but absorbs well: - When applied, it has a thicker texture compared to other calming balms, but it spreads easily in a thin layer and feels smooth! Effective for skin soothing: - With the changing seasons, my skin has been acting up, but after using this calming balm, I noticed it calmed down much faster! They say it's a soothing product for divers, and it truly had a remarkable effect on calming my skin.
ConsA perfect product with no notable drawbacks: - Often when using calming balms, you might find them too heavy or have some disappointments, but with the Nautically Calming Balm, I found myself reaching for it frequently without any particular downsides.
TipUse vitamin C serum before applying the calming balm.

Skin type: Extremely dry in winter, combination dehydrated skin in other seasons. I have thin, super sensitive skin. Product review: First off, true to its night care/winter cream nature, the hydration is incredible! The texture is quite rich. Because of this, I initially thought it might not tackle deep dryness. However, as others mentioned, when applied in a thin layer and layered on particularly dry areas, the moisturizing effect lasted surprisingly well on my face. If you properly hydrate in the previous skincare steps, deep dryness shouldn't be an issue. Usually, highly moisturizing products tend to leave an oily finish, often resulting in visible oil slicks later. But this product has an amazing finish. It applies smoothly and leaves your skin feeling just perfectly supple. It absolutely doesn't leave a greasy sheen. This was my favorite aspect. Also, living up to its soothing claims, it was suitable even for sensitive skin. When I started using this product, my skin was a bit irritated, but I felt a significant calming effect after applying it. It's not greasy at all, so it didn't exacerbate my blemishes either. Overall, I was very satisfied with this product. I would definitely repurchase!
ConsTo be honest, I didn't really find any downsides. Though it might be a bit heavy for use in the peak of summer!
TipIt's best to apply a thin layer all over and then layer it on dry areas for optimal results.

I included before and after photos, and it's amazing how the little bumps around my eyes completely disappeared. What's even more surprising is that the marks near my cheeks visibly calmed down by the next day. I was a bit worried since I have somewhat sensitive skin, but I used it without any blemishes! I looked it up and it seems they've completed low-irritation testing as well. It effectively addresses deep dryness, keeping the skin hydrated, and provides quick soothing effects. While there are many hydrating and soothing products out there, I think this one could easily rank among the top!
ConsI expected it to be a bit thicker, but it actually applies more lightly than I thought.

The Calming Balm has absolutely no smell (I recommend it for those experiencing morning sickness!) ✔️Absorption I expected a thick texture since it's a soothing balm, but it was closer to a hydrating cream! I have combination skin that's extremely sensitive and tends to get dry and flaky during seasonal changes and winter... Although it's recommended as a night care product, I think it could work well for those with dry skin as a light pre-makeup moisturizer. ✔️Barrier improvement After damaging my skin barrier with a misused peeling gel, my skin was red and irritated. But after applying a thick layer (about the size of a dime) for 3 nights, I could see my damaged skin barrier improving!
Cons✔️Soothing effect... I didn't experience the soothing effect I was most looking forward to... While it helped reduce skin heat, it didn't have much effect on redness and skin flare-ups. I wouldn't recommend it for those looking for a regenerating cream. ✔️Hydration As a night cream, I couldn't really feel the moisturizing effect. I'd recommend it for summer, but it lacks hydration for winter use. It feels more like it's creating a layer on top of the skin rather than deeply moisturizing...
Tip🍀Try mixing it with Madecassol powder! Skin barrier improvement + blemish soothing = excellent skin condition

Think of it as a happy medium between a hydrating cream and a full-on balm - not too heavy, not too light! Scent: It's practically fragrance-free! So those with sensitive noses shouldn't have any issues. Hydration: It's super moisturizing with a rich feel to it! I have combination skin that tends to get dehydrated, and when I applied this as a final step, it didn't feel heavy at all. In fact, it really helped with my deep dryness! Packaging: It's incredibly convenient. The plastic-like container has a push-down dispenser, similar to toothpaste, making it easy to control the amount. Just the material is different! Soothing effect: While I didn't see any dramatic changes, my skin felt noticeably better the morning after using it. It gave my skin a sort of 'put-together' look, if that makes sense? It seemed to work well for me. Sensitivity: The product feels like it sticks to the basics, so it came across as quite gentle to me.
ConsWhile there weren't any major downsides, those with oily skin might want to think carefully before using this. In terms of nourishment, it didn't feel like a super concentrated formula. If that's what you're after, this cream might feel a bit on the lighter side.
TipI applied it in this order after thorough cleansing: toner, serum, then this calming balm. It felt very moisturizing, and my skin seemed to absorb the hydration well, giving it a plump feeling.

It's not a super thick balm texture, but somewhere between a cream and a balm? That's why it suited my combination skin well. True to its name, it definitely helped with 'calming' my skin. Being a balm, it provided high hydration. What I especially loved was that it wasn't sticky or too heavy, yet it felt like it deeply moisturized my skin. Initially, I only applied it at night because it's a balm, but I've found that spreading a thin layer in the morning works great too. These days, I'm using it both morning and evening. I'd actually recommend this to those with oily-combination skin for fall and winter!
ConsThe amount is a bit small... It might be too dry for those with extremely dry skin.
TipMix in some Madecassol powder when applying for double the soothing effect!
