It's especially great for delicate newborn scalps, which have immature pores and skin barriers, making them prone to sensitivity and buildup of sweat, sebum, and dead skin cells. The Atopalm Newborn Scalp Shampoo is fantastic because: First, it's mildly acidic and maintains a low pH even after shampooing. Second, it improves scalp flaking and sebum control. Third, it's easy to use with its foam formula. Fourth, it's made with ingredients safe enough for newborns, which is incredibly satisfying. It uses gentle cleansing agents derived from natural coconut oil to thoroughly and gently remove impurities and sebum. Plus, it contains rooibos extract to help soothe sensitive scalps, and a vitamin B complex to nourish the scalp. These ingredients work together to protect and comfort sensitive scalps and hair. At first, I wondered if the foam formula would be suitable for my kindergarten-aged kids who were used to gel-type products. Surprisingly, the foam doesn't dissipate quickly and lathers up really well when shampooing. The scent is neutral - not particularly pleasant, but more like an unscented or ingredient-based aroma. I was curious about how well it would clean, but after shampooing, I felt a refreshing sensation as if all the dead skin cells and sebum had been thoroughly washed away, leaving the hair squeaky clean. I'd highly recommend this for newborns and young babies too!
ConsIt would have been even better if there was a subtle, pleasant fragrance - that's my only slight disappointment.

I tend to purchase Atopam products without hesitation, trusting the brand. The Newborn Scalp Shampoo has a slightly acidic pH, which helps maintain the skin's balance and is safe for our baby's delicate scalp. As a super sensitive skin parent, I chose this shampoo especially for my child who sometimes develops atopic-like symptoms when dry or after eating certain foods. The advantages? It's a convenient foaming type, which is great because creating lather separately can be a hassle, especially when you're still holding onto a squirming baby during bath time! One pump produces about a coin-sized amount, and it feels very gentle. After rinsing, it doesn't leave any residue. The foam is incredibly rich and dense!
ConsIt's hard to call this a disadvantage, but I wish the shampoo bottle came in prettier colors. My picky 6-7 year olds keep wanting to use shampoos with harmful ingredients just because the bottles look nice. This has been an honest review of a shampoo that mom wants to use but tries to save for the little ones.

Cons- The price point might be a bit steep for some. - The mild fragrance may not fully mask baby's scalp odor.
Tip- For best results, use in combination with the Newborn Scalp Emulsion.

This foam-type shampoo, however, is not only easy to use but also allows for better control of the amount. It's especially great for washing a newborn's hair! You know how challenging it can be to support a baby's head and neck with one hand while trying to squeeze out shampoo and lather with the other, right? Plus, being a mild acidic shampoo, it helps maintain a healthy balance for children's scalps, which gave me peace of mind while using it. The scent is close to unscented, but I detected a subtle, comforting fragrance, which I really appreciated!
ConsAs with most mild acidic shampoos, the cleansing effectiveness might be a bit lower. While it may not be suitable for older children, it seems perfect for babies or children with super sensitive skin!

Before using this shampoo, I had switched to a different one that caused blemishes on my scalp. However, while using this product, I didn't experience any irritation or scalp issues, likely due to its gentle ingredients. It's evident that this is a mild product safe for use, having completed safety tests for infants and children. As a pH-balanced, slightly acidic product, I was concerned it might lack cleansing power, and being fragrance-free, I worried it wouldn't eliminate scalp odor. Surprisingly, despite my oily scalp, my hair didn't become greasy or smelly quickly. The foam formula seems perfect for children to use comfortably without irritation.
ConsI noticed my hair feeling stiff right from rinsing, and I had difficulty combing through it.

Texture: It's a typical foam cleanser! Produces soft, light bubbles. For my 16-month-old daughter with thin hair, two pumps are plenty. Experience: It's a mildly acidic shampoo that's moisturizing without being drying. My little one has very dry skin and atopic dermatitis. So for us, a gentle and hydrating product is more important than strong cleansing power, and this product suits our baby well in that regard. What I'm most satisfied with is that it didn't cause any blemishes at all! It functions well as a shampoo while being trouble-free - a solid, reliable product. Scent: It has that characteristic cosmetic scent, but it's very close to being unscented. It's the kind of subtle fragrance you find in gentle products.
ConsWhile I didn't notice any particular improvements for my baby with atopic dermatitis and extremely dry skin, what I appreciate most is that it didn't cause any irritation or blemishes.
TipFor my baby with thin hair, two pumps were just right!

This one can be used from newborns up to 96 months, but it's important to adjust usage based on the baby's age for best results. My children have allergies, so I prefer unscented products. I loved that this had no artificial fragrance and was slightly acidic. For newborns and infants with little hair, one pump is enough for cleansing, while babies and children with more hair might need two pumps for adequate lather. After washing and rinsing, I could definitely feel that the oil was well-balanced. We used it for a week, and the kids never developed any blemishes on their scalp or surrounding areas. The cleansing effect lasted for about two days after washing.
ConsThe price is a bit high for the volume, so it might be best to buy during sales. Compared to other bubble wash brands I've used before, it's a shame that this one can only be used for hair cleansing.

It's a convenient pump-type product that dispenses foam. I loved how practical it was - the rich lather means you don't need to work up a foam yourself. Not having to create lather separately is a huge time-saver, which is probably its biggest advantage. 2. Made with natural ingredients, it's gentle enough for newborns and has a subtle, pleasant fragrance. I felt even more confident using it when I learned that it doesn't sting children's eyes if the foam gets in. It's great for maintaining a healthy scalp and hair, especially when they've become sensitive. The fact that it also helps with dead skin cell removal makes it even more trustworthy. 3. I have longer hair at the back, but two pumps were sufficient. So far, the foam has been consistently rich, which means you can use it generously considering the volume you get.
ConsIt's a bit disappointing that you can't check how much is left due to the opaque container. While the hair might feel slightly stiff after use, it cleans thoroughly and leaves a soft finish, making me reach for it often. I recommend this reliable brand - the Atopalm Newborn Scalp Shampoo.

After using it, I was pleased that it didn't irritate my scalp or cause itching. Some shampoos can make my scalp dry and flaky, but this product didn't dry out my scalp at all. It also has excellent cleansing effectiveness, leaving my scalp feeling clean. I've been using it for over a week since I received it, and I'm using it without any blemishes. The fragrance is subtle, which I appreciate as it's not overwhelming. I love that it comes out as a rich foam when pumped, so there's no need to work up a lather - you can use it right away, which is very convenient. Atopalm products, including their shampoos, body washes, and emulsions, are all so gentle and wonderful.
ConsThere's really nothing to complain about, but since it's a foam formula, you need to pump it several times to get enough foam on your hair.

Checking the ingredients is a must! It's a brand I've used since my children were young, as even newborns can use it. Being slightly acidic, it seems safe to use on newborn or sensitive skin. - The scent isn't overpowering. It's not unscented, but there's a subtle fruity fragrance reminiscent of green grapes. - The foam formula is convenient. I used to use a liquid one that required lathering, but this pumps out as foam directly, which is handy and nice. The foam is rich and abundant. It also rinses off quickly, saving the effort of multiple rinses.
Cons- When used on elementary school children, it doesn't completely eliminate the unique scalp odor after washing. It might be more suitable for newborns or younger children! - When I tried it myself, it seemed like my scalp became oily faster. Though that might be expected for an adult. - After raising kids, I've found that an all-in-one product is more convenient than separate shampoo and body wash.
