It was very easy to use as it was a foaming type, and there were no reactions like itchiness or irritation on the scalp. It seems to have been used gently. Even the children used it comfortably and it lathered up just the right amount for them. However, adults may need to use a bit more. I tried it myself and it was used gently without any scalp irritation. The children's hair had a rich lather, so it seems just right for babies to use. 🌲 The product is non-irritating and free of skin-harmful ingredients, making it great for children's use! As it was launched as a newborn product, I divided it up and sold it at Daiso, and also shared it with a friend who has a newborn baby so they could try it out. Since our family uses Atoparm lotion & cream, we had no reservations about testing it. Newborns and babies have highly active sebaceous glands unlike adults (stress can stimulate the sebaceous glands, leading to excess oil and an unfavorable scalp environment depending on environmental factors). So, unlike what others have mentioned, it doesn't seem to focus too much on cleansing power. However, it's a safe formula derived from natural coconut oil ingredients with skin-friendly and non-irritating (which is important!) testing, so I feel comfortable using it on babies! The scent is very faint, like coconut(?). As a product that helps improve scalp flakiness, it's a low-irritation, safe formula, so I'd also recommend it to those suffering from atopic dermatitis.
