Although my baby is not a newborn but 11 months old, we didn't experience any blemishes when using it. The fact that the baby didn't scratch or show any signs of discomfort was really reassuring!
ConsThese days, there are products with good ingredients suitable for everyone from babies to adults, but this one seems to have weak cleansing effectiveness for adults! However, I'm only mentioning this because I need to point out a drawback - it's perfectly fine as a baby product.
TipVery young babies often use all-in-one products, but for children over a year old, sometimes when you wash their hair with an all-in-one, it can leave a sweaty smell or feel like it hasn't cleaned thoroughly. This product would be great to use in those situations.

First off, there's no artificial fragrance, and the foam-like texture is incredibly soft. You don't need to exert much effort when rinsing! After checking the ingredients on Hwahae, I can confirm they're quite good. There's hardly any harsh surfactant feel, so it doesn't dry out your hair. I usually break out along my hairline when using strong perfumed shampoos, but with this Atopalm product, I experienced no such issues. It's really great!
ConsThis is definitely a baby shampoo for 0-96 months. When I used it, I felt like some food odors lingered in my hair. Also, its cleansing effectiveness doesn't seem as strong as adult shampoos. But since it's a baby shampoo, that's to be expected, so I wouldn't really call it a drawback.

At first, I thought it was artificial, but I was relieved to see no such ingredients listed - that would have been a minus. The foam is so soft, I just want to keep touching it. It seems perfect for babies. Usually, with liquid cleansers, the foam runs into their eyes and makes them cry, but this one comes out already foamy, so it's much more convenient.
ConsI tried it on my 16-month-old, and the cleansing effectiveness seems a bit weak, perhaps because it's for newborns. It might be more suitable for very young babies.

Being specifically for newborns and sensitive scalps, it feels gentle. I tried it on my 11 and 10-year-old kids, and the rinsing is incredibly quick. With regular shampoos, I usually rinse multiple times due to residue, but this product cuts down on rinsing time. I couldn't help but think how great this would be for delicate newborns, allowing for a faster bath time.
ConsFor me as an adult and my 11-year-old who's starting to have increased hormone production, the cleansing effectiveness is somewhat lacking. However, it was fine for my 10-year-old sibling who still has more of a baby-like quality.

This foam-type shampoo, however, is not only easy to use but also allows for better control of the amount. It's especially great for washing a newborn's hair! You know how challenging it can be to support a baby's head and neck with one hand while trying to squeeze out shampoo and lather with the other, right? Plus, being a mild acidic shampoo, it helps maintain a healthy balance for children's scalps, which gave me peace of mind while using it. The scent is close to unscented, but I detected a subtle, comforting fragrance, which I really appreciated!
ConsAs with most mild acidic shampoos, the cleansing effectiveness might be a bit lower. While it may not be suitable for older children, it seems perfect for babies or children with super sensitive skin!

The foam is quite rich, but it rinses off easily. There's hardly any scent, making it perfect for kids.
ConsFor adults, the cleansing effectiveness is a bit too weak, haha. My daughter is 5, and it does make her hair feel a bit stiff. We need to use an additional infant conditioner.

The ingredients are incredibly gentle and beneficial! As Atopalm is famous for being used by many babies, it's great that the ingredients are so mild. This would be excellent for those with super sensitive skin. 2. The packaging is sleek, and the foam dispenses directly, which is convenient. It would be even handier when bathing babies. Adults might need to pump a few more times for a thorough cleanse. However, being a foam cleanser, it's perfect for quick washes when you're in a hurry. 3. I appreciate that the fragrance isn't overpowering. When a product's scent is too strong and doesn't suit you, it often goes unused and causes stress. With its subtle scent, this product is likely to be universally appealing.
ConsFor adults, the cleansing effectiveness might be a bit lacking! The volume is also somewhat small, so it may run out quickly, which is a shame. It would be better if it came in a larger size.

I love the floral scent that's similar to shampoo, and it has a generous expiration date with sleek packaging. It's really nice!
ConsAs the name 'Newborn' suggests, it seems to be for infants, so the cleansing effectiveness is a bit lower. My children are 10 and 12 years old, so it works better as a pre-wash shampoo for us.
TipAs mentioned above, since my children aren't newborns, the cleansing power seems a bit weak. We use the Newborn Scalp Shampoo as a pre-wash, followed by the Atopalm Kids Scalp Shampoo from the same company for the second wash. I discovered Atopalm products through The Hwahae Testers, and now I have several items I've purchased myself (emulsion, cream, kids scalp shampoo, maternity cream). They're all great - from hydration to cleansing effectiveness and ingredients. I plan to keep buying them with my own money in the future.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsI've used Atopalm products (emulsion and cream) while raising my kids, and they've been quite useful. Now, as one of The Hwahae Testers, I'm sharing my experience with their shampoo. My hair is very fine and limp, and I have super sensitive skin on my scalp. If I use shampoos with strong fragrances or harsh chemicals, my scalp gets flaky, itchy, or develops blemishes. I'm extremely sensitive! Firstly, what I loved is that it's almost fragrance-free. Even when my kids were little, I avoided strongly scented products, even those meant for babies. I always preferred unscented products, thinking strong fragrances might indicate less-than-ideal ingredients. This product has virtually no scent, and instead of coming out as a thin liquid like most shampoos, it dispenses as a foam. This was so convenient! As someone who prefers to lather up in my hands before applying to my hair, I was like 'Wow!' A few pumps and you can apply it directly - I really liked this feature. Also, it rinses out quickly without leaving any residue. But the best part? The ingredients are excellent! It's a shampoo that even babies can use with confidence.
ConsThe downside is that the bottle is quite small. My kids are older now, so I'm using it instead, but I wish there was a larger size available even for babies. As an adult using it, I found the cleansing power to be a bit weak, and my scalp gets oily again pretty quickly. There's obviously a difference between a baby's scalp and an adult's. Adults might be better off using adult shampoos.
TipThis seems to be a shampoo that would be very satisfying for children to use, more so than for adults. I think many moms would agree - we need a larger size option!

I love that this product is free from harmful ingredients! It's also convenient because it's a foam type. While raising my 20-month-old daughter, I've tried all-in-one products, gel shampoos, and foam shampoos, but foam types are the best!
ConsAs expected with gentle ingredients, the cleansing effectiveness isn't exceptional. Especially for adult use, you need to use quite a bit of product and it doesn't leave you feeling completely refreshed!
TipMake sure to thoroughly wet your baby's hair with water and use just one or two pumps before rinsing!
