First off, there's no artificial fragrance, and the foam-like texture is incredibly soft. You don't need to exert much effort when rinsing! After checking the ingredients on Hwahae, I can confirm they're quite good. There's hardly any harsh surfactant feel, so it doesn't dry out your hair. I usually break out along my hairline when using strong perfumed shampoos, but with this Atopalm product, I experienced no such issues. It's really great!
ConsThis is definitely a baby shampoo for 0-96 months. When I used it, I felt like some food odors lingered in my hair. Also, its cleansing effectiveness doesn't seem as strong as adult shampoos. But since it's a baby shampoo, that's to be expected, so I wouldn't really call it a drawback.

This means the ingredients are truly safe (free from 10 types of skin-harmful ingredients). I love that it uses gentle cleansing agents derived from natural coconut oil. The scent is like baby powder without the sweetness - it's somewhat herbal and not overwhelming, even for use during pregnancy. When my first child was older, they developed scalp flakes or crusty patches. This Newborn Scalp Shampoo helps improve scalp flakes and sebum, seeming to regulate oil production. However, since the scalp is also skin, it needs to maintain a slightly acidic pH to protect against external bacteria and prevent dryness. This product is mildly acidic, making it great for both scalp and hair. It also contains rooibos extract and vitamin B complex, which may help soothe sensitive scalps and promote healthy hair growth. My scalp got very flaky during my second pregnancy, so I plan to keep using this. It's also a foaming type that minimizes irritation to baby's eyes and scalp (passed non-irritation tests). The rich foam helps shorten bath time, which is important for preventing colds in babies. When I tried it, the foam was abundant and soft, allowing for gentle use on the scalp and hair. Even without conditioner, my hair felt quite soft afterwards. However, it did make my hair feel a bit limp. For adults, given how gentle the product is, you might need to wash daily for thorough cleansing. I sometimes wash every other day, and by the second day I definitely feel the need to wash. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this product. I've been using various Atopalm products including their MLE Cream, MLE Emulsion, Maternity Care Stretch Mark Cream, Stick Balm, Top-to-Toe Wash, and now this Newborn Scalp Shampoo - I like them all. I'll likely continue using them after my second child is born. Atopalm also contributes to environmental protection, which is important for our children's future. The pump and container are all plastic, making them recyclable. They use eco-friendly paper that reduces dioxin production and recycled paper containing 15% recycled pulp. The packaging is printed with environmentally friendly soybean oil and uses FSC-certified paper for forest protection.
ConsSince it's gentle enough for newborns, adults might find it less effective at removing excess oil. If using this as an adult, I'd recommend thoroughly brushing your hair before shampooing to loosen scalp debris, then soaking your scalp with lukewarm water. This should help improve the removal of oil and impurities.
TipFor even better results, try applying Atopalm Newborn Scalp Emulsion to your scalp first. Let it soften any dead skin cells before shampooing. This can lead to a cleaner, healthier scalp care routine.

At first, I thought it was artificial, but I was relieved to see no such ingredients listed - that would have been a minus. The foam is so soft, I just want to keep touching it. It seems perfect for babies. Usually, with liquid cleansers, the foam runs into their eyes and makes them cry, but this one comes out already foamy, so it's much more convenient.
ConsI tried it on my 16-month-old, and the cleansing effectiveness seems a bit weak, perhaps because it's for newborns. It might be more suitable for very young babies.

First off, it's an easy-to-use foam formula with incredibly soft bubbles. The scent is a subtle blend, reminiscent of herbs with a hint of coconut oil. The mild fragrance made it comfortable for both newborns and older children to use. It was also great for quickly eliminating sweat odor after my child's workouts.
ConsThere weren't any particular blemishes, and I didn't experience any inconvenience while using it. With so many excellent products available these days, parenting really does rely on good gear. It momentarily made me consider having another child!
TipWhen it comes to baby care products, I tend to switch the body wash, emulsion, and shampoo to the same brand. This time, I've become totally hooked on the Newborn Scalp Shampoo too. I think you can confidently use Atopalm products.

It doesn't have an overpowering scent, making it suitable even for newborns. The foam formula is easy for kids to use themselves, and the pump dispenser is incredibly convenient. I'm also relieved that both the pump and bottle are recyclable, easing my concerns about plastic usage.
ConsIt reminds me of when my baby had severe cradle cap as a newborn, and I wish we had this product back then. I can't help but wonder why a specialized scalp care shampoo for newborns wasn't available sooner!
TipHere's a helpful tip that's already on the box: Apply the scalp emulsion first to soften dead skin cells, then shampoo for a cleaner, healthier scalp. For older children, since it's a foam shampoo, you can apply it first, wash their body, and then rinse everything off - it works great!

This one can be used from newborns up to 96 months, but it's important to adjust usage based on the baby's age for best results. My children have allergies, so I prefer unscented products. I loved that this had no artificial fragrance and was slightly acidic. For newborns and infants with little hair, one pump is enough for cleansing, while babies and children with more hair might need two pumps for adequate lather. After washing and rinsing, I could definitely feel that the oil was well-balanced. We used it for a week, and the kids never developed any blemishes on their scalp or surrounding areas. The cleansing effect lasted for about two days after washing.
ConsThe price is a bit high for the volume, so it might be best to buy during sales. Compared to other bubble wash brands I've used before, it's a shame that this one can only be used for hair cleansing.

I'm particularly concerned about dead skin cells on my scalp, and above all, I'm the type whose scalp easily reddens after shampooing. I used to use Aveda products, but they felt too fragrant and irritating, so now I'm using René Furterer products. I was curious about this product because it's said to be gentle enough for newborns and infants to use. While you can slightly sense the natural scent of the ingredients, what I love most is that it doesn't contain any artificial fragrances. It's also my first time using a hair shampoo that comes out as foam, and it's really convenient to use. Most importantly, even though it's a gentle and non-irritating shampoo, I'm amazed that it seems to reduce dead skin cells after use. It doesn't have that artificial 'clean' feeling of my previous shampoos, but somehow my scalp feels cleansed, if that makes sense? Anyway, I love that it's non-irritating yet still leaves my hair feeling refreshed. With my particularly sensitive scalp, I honestly can't tell if there's less redness after shampooing, but I'm especially satisfied that the dead skin cells have noticeably improved.
ConsBecause it's a foam type, it feels like it runs out quickly. However, if they could offer it in a larger size or provide refill products so it can be purchased more economically, I'd love to keep using this product.

Foam The foaming formula is convenient as you don't need to lather it on your head. However, since it's foam-based and I have thick hair, I tend to use more product. But it should be fine for newborns! 2. Fragrance It's amazing!! I was worried it might have that artificial scent common in other products with good ingredients, but I absolutely love this fragrance. It's not overpowering, and when you get close, it has a pleasant aroma. 3. Oil Control I originally had an oily scalp and often wore hats, which caused blemishes and excessive oiliness on my scalp. But after using this product for over a week, my scalp feels cleaner! The blemishes seem to have subsided, and the oiliness has reduced, giving a more balanced feel. An unexpected benefit: Unlike my previous shampoo, the superior ingredients in this one have helped reduce the acne on my back caused by rinsing! Also, I learned that my parents used Atopalm products when I was young, which gives me great confidence in the brand!
ConsHmm, there's really nothing bad, but if I had to pick something, it might be the quantity. However, this aspect is hardly noticeable given how good the product is.
TipFor better oil control, apply a larger amount to the oily crown area!

It's just the right scent for kids, not too overwhelming. - The rich, dense foam is great for washing children without the hassle of having to squeeze out the product multiple times! - The foam type is a huge advantage during hectic bath times with active kids, as opposed to liquid types where you'd be busy lathering up
ConsUsually, children's products are designed for dual use as both wash and shampoo, but there were no instructions indicating this, so I was unsure if it was exclusively for shampooing.
