The color matched my skin tone perfectly, so it looked very natural and nice! The Hwahae was too good, but it may not work well for those with dry skin. It's recommended to do thorough skincare and use a cushion foundation. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 2, 2025
Right after application, it's honestly the best cushion I've ever used in my life. It truly gives you that porcelain skin look. After some time, it tends to separate a bit. When it breaks down, it's not great either. The puff feels too taut and, in my opinion, a bit thick, so the application experience wasn't pleasant. It falls short of expectations. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 24, 2025
The magnetic case design is a major plus, ensuring it won't break easily Despite having normal skin, I applied this before work and it was a disaster. It looked patchy, broke down terribly, left my skin feeling dry inside yet oily on the surface. It even caused blemishes. I have no intention of using it again. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinApr 20, 2025
I have light undertone to winter bright skin, with a bright 21 shade. My T-zone is oily while my U-zone is combination dehydrated skin. I also experience redness and facial heat! I've always loved using Giverny foundation from the same line, so I tried this cushion too. As expected, the color is beautiful and it feels great to use! The cushion formula and puff work together exceptionally well. It applies smoothly, provides good coverage, and effectively conceals pores! If you've enjoyed their foundation, you might want to consider getting this cushion for touch-ups. I haven't used it in summer yet, but from late winter to the changing seasons, it feels semi-matte without any dryness! I prefer a powdery skin finish, so I used it with powder and still didn't experience any dryness or dead skin cells showing. Controlling the amount is crucial! It's really easy to apply too much if you're not careful. If it goes on too thick, it won't look pretty when it breaks down, so make sure to use a thin layer! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJan 9, 2025
Wow, this cushion foundation is incredible! The longer I wear it, the more beautiful my complexion becomes. It's seriously amazing! I have combination skin with some oiliness around my nose, but after setting it with powder, I achieved a flawless finish! The only downside is that when it starts to break down, it can develop a slightly yellow tinge. But aside from that, everything else about it is great! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinDec 12, 2024
This product is absolutely amazing! First off, the coverage is incredibly good. I have dry skin, so it's a bit drying, but that's to be expected in winter! You need to be careful with the amount you apply, as it's easy to use too much at once. It also tends to break down a bit throughout the day. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinDec 4, 2024
Right after application, it truly gives you that porcelain skin look. It covers pores and blemishes well. If you control the amount properly, it applies naturally and beautifully. The case design is simple and clean. When you first apply only the Giverny cushion, your skin looks amazing and absolutely gorgeous. However, it's shocking how unattractively it breaks down over time. The puff and cushion combination is a poor match, so I ended up not using the Giverny puff and switched to a different one. Even with a light tap, too much product comes out, making it too difficult for beginners to use (if you press too hard without thinking, your face might look like it's floating). Although it's semi-matte, I feel like it becomes quite oily as time passes. Before applying the Giverny cushion, use another brand's cushion to dampen a puff with a cleansing tissue and apply it to your skin, then spray a makeup fixer on your face. The reason for dampening the puff with a cleansing tissue: Pressing the puff onto the cleansing tissue gives it just the right amount of moisture, not too much. After the fixer dries, apply a small amount of powder all over your face, then dampen the puff with a wet wipe again, spray fixer on the puff, and apply a small amount of Giverny cushion all over your skin. Then spray fixer on your face again, apply a small amount of Giverny cushion once more, and spray fixer. If you do this, your skin will look as beautiful as it does right after applying the Giverny cushion, and your makeup won't break down all day. You'll get a subtle oily glow, like an Inner Glow, but your skin won't deteriorate. You don't need to touch up, but if you don't like the oiliness, just apply some powder and your skin will look perfectly matte and exactly like it did right after application. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinDec 1, 2024
This cushion foundation creates a stunningly beautiful complexion and is my absolute favorite After about 4 hours, it starts to break down a bit. You definitely need to set it with powder I recommend building a solid skincare base and being careful with the amount you apply - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinNov 22, 2024
1. Recently, the makeup applies thinly with great staying power. 2. Minimal darkening. I absolutely hate darkening, so I did a ton of research before buying this, haha! 3. Great value for money. 4. I trust and use this product because the ingredients are pretty decent. 5. The cushion lid is magnetic, making it easy to open and close. 6. The cushion puff has a pointed end, which is great for more precise application around the nose and for detailed skin makeup. 1. Caking around the nose and makeup breakdown on cheeks - primer is essential. (For summer or oily skin) When used alone without primer, it tends to cake around the nose and break down in areas prone to makeup wear, like the cheeks. 2. In dry weather, thorough skincare is necessary before makeup application to prevent skin from feeling tight. When the weather suddenly turned cold, I applied makeup as usual and was shocked by how tight my skin felt. For dry days, be extra diligent with skincare and skip the primer before applying. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 28, 2024
The coverage isn't bad at all! Even with my dry skin, it worked quite well. It breaks down in an unflattering way, and I often experienced pilling. It seems my skin didn't agree with it, as I had some breakouts. I'd recommend going one shade lighter for a better match.
