As the weather's heating up, I was on the hunt for a summer-friendly cushion foundation when someone recommended Giverny's cushion. I decided to give it a try, and wow! It's perfect for summer with its semi-matte finish. The staying power, adherence to skin, and coverage are all excellent. If you're in the market for a summer cushion like I was, I highly recommend checking out Giverny! While the adherence to skin is good, you really need to be careful with how much product you use. If you don't control the amount well, the foundation can lose its ability to blend seamlessly and might end up sitting on top of your skin instead. This can make your complexion look less than ideal, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 25, 2025
The coverage is so good you won't even need concealer, and it stays put so well that you can go from day to night without touch-ups - it's perfect! There's nothing to complain about. Even my mom and sister were completely satisfied with this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 20, 2025
The coverage is excellent, and there's no darkening. I highly recommend this for combination skin types. It can apply a bit thick, but if you control the amount and apply a thin layer, it creates a beautiful skin finish. This foundation seems to work well for those with combination skin, offering good coverage without causing oxidation or darkening. While it may have a tendency to go on thick, users can achieve a lovely complexion by applying it sparingly. The product appears to be versatile, catering to different application preferences and skin needs. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMay 13, 2025
The coverage is truly amazing! I have blemishes on my cheeks, but with this cushion, what used to be a 10 on the visibility scale now looks like a 2 or 3. While it doesn't make them completely disappear, they're so faded that from a distance, they're hardly noticeable. Even after hours of wear, there's no tightness or discomfort on my face. I used to use Espoir Be Velvet before trying Giverny, and I can confidently say that Giverny's coverage is definitely superior. I highly recommend this for anyone needing serious coverage! My skin tone is around 22, but I bought shade 21, which might be why it looked too light on me... It seemed fine when first applied, but as time passed, it took on a slightly ashy tone, which was disappointing. Being a matte cushion, you need to prep your skin well before application. After a while, there's a bit of caking on the cheeks, but it's only noticeable if you look very closely, so the staying power is good. However, it does transfer and rub off when wearing a mask. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMay 10, 2025
The puff is quite large, so it applies well. It seems to cover most blemishes effectively. I love that it has a magnetic closure, making it easy to open and close. The color is really pretty, which makes it enjoyable to use. Plus, there's no darkening of the skin. If anything gets on the case, it's hard to clean off. That's the only downside I can think of. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMay 5, 2025
This is my holy grail cushion foundation! Color: I usually use shades 21-22, and this one applies slightly lighter than other brands' cushions. Application: With proper amount control, it adheres well without drying out the skin. Even a thin layer evens out the skin tone effectively! Coverage: While it does a great job at evening out overall complexion, you might need to use a concealer for darker blemishes or under-eye circles. Packaging: The matte light green case gives it a unique, understated vibe! Overall: If you have combination dehydrated skin and want a reliably good cushion, settle down with this one! The shade leans more ivory than peachy, so it might not provide enough coverage for those with prominent dark circles. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMay 5, 2025
The coverage is average, but it adheres well to the skin. It's brighter than expected, so it might be suitable for those who usually wear shades 22 or 23. The staying power isn't great, which means touch-ups can lead to pilling. I'll have to think twice about repurchasing. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinMay 4, 2025
The greatest advantage is its coverage. It naturally conceals redness, blemishes, and uneven texture, and even with multiple layers, it doesn't feel heavy. Thanks to its thin, skin-adhering formula, there's minimal lifting or breakdown even after wearing a mask. Moreover, after applying makeup in the morning, the skin remained relatively flawless until the afternoon without touch-ups. I could confirm that it didn't easily break down with oil and sweat. As the formula tends to have a somewhat matte finish, it may cause dryness for those with dry skin. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 29, 2025
The coverage is truly outstanding. Even with just a light dab, it provides excellent coverage. It accentuates pores too much. A friend recommended it, but for my combination dehydrated skin, it's way too drying... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 29, 2025
I bought this after seeing positive reviews on YouTube. As mentioned in the reviews, I was impressed by its coverage and adherence to the skin. Coverage: 5/5 stars, Adherence: 4/5 stars. If you typically use shade 21, this should be a perfect match. Plus, the compact case is so pretty... I absolutely love it! Although I don't have dry skin, the makeup tends to separate a bit around my T-zone, and it slightly smudges as time passes. This might be due to my oily skin. Also, you need to be careful with the amount you apply. For those who often experience makeup separation around the nose area, it's best to thoroughly hydrate your skin before application!
