I've been using Giverny for about 9-10 months now, and I'm impressed with its adherence and staying power. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I deal with both deep dryness and excess oil on the surface. Despite this, the foundation doesn't break down much, which is great. The downside is that there's a bit of darkening. After wearing it for a while, my complexion takes on a slightly muddy tone. Here's a small tip: if you have a similar skin type to mine, it's better to go light on skincare before application. Ironically, when I apply too much skincare, the foundation tends to separate. Also, be sure to set it thoroughly with powder, especially around the nose area where it can settle into creases. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMay 26, 2025
As the weather's heating up, I was on the hunt for a summer-friendly cushion foundation when someone recommended Giverny's cushion. I decided to give it a try, and wow! It's perfect for summer with its semi-matte finish. The staying power, adherence to skin, and coverage are all excellent. If you're in the market for a summer cushion like I was, I highly recommend checking out Giverny! While the adherence to skin is good, you really need to be careful with how much product you use. If you don't control the amount well, the foundation can lose its ability to blend seamlessly and might end up sitting on top of your skin instead. This can make your complexion look less than ideal, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMay 16, 2025
The adhesion seems to work well. It was clean all day without any peeling. My skin is sensitive, so after using it, my face turns red and the redness doesn't go away for days... - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMay 5, 2025
This is my holy grail cushion foundation! Color: I usually use shades 21-22, and this one applies slightly lighter than other brands' cushions. Application: With proper amount control, it adheres well without drying out the skin. Even a thin layer evens out the skin tone effectively! Coverage: While it does a great job at evening out overall complexion, you might need to use a concealer for darker blemishes or under-eye circles. Packaging: The matte light green case gives it a unique, understated vibe! Overall: If you have combination dehydrated skin and want a reliably good cushion, settle down with this one! The shade leans more ivory than peachy, so it might not provide enough coverage for those with prominent dark circles. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMay 5, 2025
The coverage is average, but it adheres well to the skin. It's brighter than expected, so it might be suitable for those who usually wear shades 22 or 23. The staying power isn't great, which means touch-ups can lead to pilling. I'll have to think twice about repurchasing. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinMay 4, 2025
The greatest advantage is its coverage. It naturally conceals redness, blemishes, and uneven texture, and even with multiple layers, it doesn't feel heavy. Thanks to its thin, skin-adhering formula, there's minimal lifting or breakdown even after wearing a mask. Moreover, after applying makeup in the morning, the skin remained relatively flawless until the afternoon without touch-ups. I could confirm that it didn't easily break down with oil and sweat. As the formula tends to have a somewhat matte finish, it may cause dryness for those with dry skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinMay 1, 2025
The adherence and staying power were both excellent! This cushion foundation exceeded my expectations.. You need to be diligent with your skincare routine. On days when I rushed through my skincare, it tended to look a bit patchy. Apply a thin layer of aloe balm before your base makeup, and it won't look patchy at all! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 29, 2025
I bought this after seeing positive reviews on YouTube. As mentioned in the reviews, I was impressed by its coverage and adherence to the skin. Coverage: 5/5 stars, Adherence: 4/5 stars. If you typically use shade 21, this should be a perfect match. Plus, the compact case is so pretty... I absolutely love it! Although I don't have dry skin, the makeup tends to separate a bit around my T-zone, and it slightly smudges as time passes. This might be due to my oily skin. Also, you need to be careful with the amount you apply. For those who often experience makeup separation around the nose area, it's best to thoroughly hydrate your skin before application! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 19, 2025
The adherence was excellent. Compared to other cushions in shade 21, this one was a bit brighter. If coverage is important to you, I'd recommend buying one shade darker. It feels heavy on the skin... The staying power seems decent, but I'm not sure about the coverage. It looks noticeably cakey and emphasizes dead skin cells... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 18, 2025
I've tried both Giverny foundations - the liquid and the cushion. The cushion has better coverage and a more matte finish. It adheres really well to the skin. While the coverage is good, it can feel a bit heavy. The matte finish makes it slightly challenging to apply smoothly.
