The foam isn't rich and creamy, but rather smooth and slippery. It lathers up well even with just a small amount of water. |Cleansing Effectiveness When used as a first cleanse after applying Easy Wash sunscreen, its cleansing power wasn't extraordinary. However, it worked great as a second cleanse after using cleansing oil to remove waterproof sunscreen and makeup. It's more suitable for use after heavy makeup or when you need to exfoliate, rather than as a daily cleanser. |Feel and Irritation As someone with combination dehydrated skin that tends to dry out quickly after cleansing, I found this product didn't leave my skin feeling dry. Instead, it left a soft, powdery finish. Touching my skin afterwards, it felt like baby skin! The purple granules gently exfoliate and smooth out the skin texture, making for an excellent user experience. Importantly, I didn't feel any irritation from the granules! |Scent It's fragrance-free, which I actually preferred. |Packaging & Volume The eggplant-colored packaging is cute and compact. At 50g, it's perfect for travel and easy to carry around.
ConsThose looking for a rich, creamy foam might be disappointed as this isn't a foam-type cleanser. Since it's a powder type, you need to be careful with portioning when using the product.
TipThis would work great as an exfoliating cleanser used 2-3 times a week to remove dead skin cells.

After washing, your skin doesn't feel squeaky clean, but rather soft and hydrated, with a sense that impurities and dead skin cells have been gently removed. ✓ Skin irritation: As someone with sensitive and dry skin, I was worried about potential irritation. Happily, it's gentle and mild, allowing for effective exfoliation without any discomfort. ✓ Hydration: Post-cleanse, it feels like a light moisture barrier forms on your face! As mentioned earlier, it doesn't leave your skin feeling overly dry or tight, which made for a pleasant user experience. ✓ It's great for conveniently and gently caring for skin exfoliation on a daily basis! ✓ Among powder-type cleansers, some can be difficult to dissolve and lather. However, this product dissolves easily, making it simple to use!
Cons✓ Perhaps due to my dry skin, using it both morning and night left my skin feeling a bit parched, so I've relegated it to evening use only. ✓ It doesn't produce as rich and creamy a lather as foam cleansers do. While using more powder does create more foam, it still lacks that dense, creamy texture. This might be an inherent characteristic of powder enzyme cleansers.

The powder inside is sealed, so you can open the lid, remove the seal, and close it for use. When you open the lid, there's a small hole to dispense the powder. Despite its size, it's easy to control the amount - not too little, not too much. The small opening also prevents water from getting inside if splashed. I've carried it around, not just using it at home, and the lid never opened or spilled. Even when the container got wet or stayed in the bathroom for a while, the powder didn't clump or fail to come out. It seems quite waterproof when closed. <Scent> While the original had a nutty scent, the eggplant version is almost fragrance-free. There's a very slight nutty aroma, but it's barely noticeable when mixed with water. You can use the eggplant version without worrying about any strong scent. <Texture> It's a powder type that needs to be mixed with water. Dispense the right amount into your hand, mix with a little water to create foam, then apply and massage on your face. It produces abundant foam, but it's not a dense lather. Think big, plentiful bubbles rather than small, rich ones. The purple eggplant particles don't dissolve when you mix it. They're soft, so they don't hurt when you massage them on your skin. While it doesn't create an excessive amount of foam, it's sufficient for cleansing your face. Using a foam maker produces more lather, but requires more product, so I don't use it often. It has pros and cons - with a foam maker, you feel the purple eggplant particles less, which might mean less exfoliation. <Cleansing Effectiveness> It might not remove long-lasting foundations or mascaras in one go. It works perfectly as a second cleanser after using a foam cleanser. <Irritation> I have super sensitive skin and can't use sugar scrubs or gels with irritating ingredients. But that doesn't mean I don't get dead skin cells - it's always been a concern in dry seasons. I've been using cleansing powder products, but frequent use or trying various products often led to redness or tightness. While the original enzyme powder left my skin feeling non-tight and slightly moisturized, this product is truly hydrating. My skin used to be so dry around the cheeks and mouth that I had to apply toner or skin pads immediately after showering. Now, I can leisurely do my skincare routine at my vanity, and my skin still feels hydrated. Remember, even among those with sensitive skin, what works can vary from person to person!
ConsThe foam isn't dense and rich... but this might just be a matter of personal preference.
TipMix the powder with just enough water to create a light foam, massage it on your face, then gradually add more water to your hands as you continue massaging. When you rinse it off, your skin will feel super soft!

I'm prone to facial flushing, redness, and have sensitive skin. My usual cleansing routine: 1st cleanse - Either cleansing oil or micellar water 2nd cleanse - Natural soap Due to my sensitive skin, I often use gentle natural soaps, even for morning cleansing. When I first lathered the Eggplant Clearing Enzyme Powder Cleanser, I was pleasantly surprised by how the foam felt as soft as natural soap. While it doesn't create an abundance of foam, I personally found it cleansed gently without needing excessive lather. The formula is a powder with coarse white particles interspersed with subtle purple powder, true to its eggplant-inspired name. You only need a small amount with a bit of water to create a gentle lather when massaged onto the skin. It's fragrance-free! At first, I thought my nose might be blocked when I couldn't smell anything, but upon checking the product details, I confirmed it's indeed unscented! The packaging is cute, all in a lovely purple color, and I'm satisfied with how it dispenses just the right amount each time. Although I haven't tried it as a mask yet... I'm very pleased with it as a gentle cleanser. As my first powder cleanser, I was intrigued but unsure if it would cleanse effectively. I'm happy to report it provides a gentle yet thorough cleanse. It's designed for combination dehydrated skin, which works perfectly for me!
ConsIf I had to nitpick, it doesn't produce a rich, dense foam like some cleansers do. So those who prefer a foam cleanser with abundant lather might find this slightly disappointing! But that's really the only drawback I can think of.
TipAt 18,000 won, it's not overly expensive, but it would be even better to purchase it when it's on sale!

It allowed for effective dead skin cell removal with minimal irritation. When you dissolve the powder in water and lather it up, it creates an incredibly soft foam that can be used without irritation. If you use it in the evening and moisturize well, your skin texture is noticeably different in the morning - so smooth and soft, even without any major irritation. Even with my thin skin, unlike other exfoliating products, it didn't cause redness, so I think even those with super sensitive skin can use it without worry!
ConsWhile it had great effects on improving skin texture, I'm not sure if it's because the foam is light and not very dense, but the cleansing effectiveness doesn't seem particularly strong. You'll need to be careful with the amount you use, and if you don't dissolve it thoroughly before use, the granules might cause irritation!
TipIt's absolutely essential to dissolve this well and create a lather before using it. Also, if you use it as your second cleanse in the evening, your skin texture will be fantastic the next morning.

The granules help with dead skin cell removal while cleansing, but they're not harsh. Most of the particles dissolve well in water, with just a few remaining noticeable. Even though I have super sensitive skin, it didn't cause any tingling sensation. Unlike regular cleansing foams that can leave skin feeling tight and dry after washing, this product strikes a nice balance - it doesn't over-cleanse or leave a slippery residue, so there's no deep dryness afterwards. Think of it as a middle ground between a low pH cleanser and a squeaky-clean foam cleanser. The scent is practically non-existent, which is great for those sensitive to fragrances. Some 'unscented' products can have an odd smell, but this one truly has almost no scent, so it didn't bother me at all despite my sensitivity to fragrances.
ConsWhile I'm generally satisfied, the quantity seems a bit small. Being a powder form, you end up using more than expected, so it would be great if they offered a larger size. When I opened it, the amount inside seemed less than what the container suggested. I hope they increase the quantity. It's not a rich, creamy foam type, but more like a low pH cleanser with larger foam particles. The larger foam particles might make your skin feel more hydrated after use. Therefore, it might not suit those looking for that squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing.

Texture: It dissolves fairly quickly when it comes into contact with water, though you might need to wait a moment. The particles felt a bit rough, but they melted away quickly when I lathered it in my hands. Experience: Even after creating a lather, I could feel tiny, not-at-all-rough granules, which made me think it might have a gentle exfoliating effect. While it doesn't produce an abundance of foam, I appreciated that it didn't leave my skin feeling overly tight or dry after rinsing.
ConsI was a bit disappointed that the foam wasn't very rich or abundant. Due to the less foamy nature, it didn't give that squeaky-clean feeling after use. However, this might be more of a personal preference issue rather than a drawback, as some might find it moisturizing depending on their skin type and sensitivity.
