It offers excellent dead skin cell removal, resulting in a flawless complexion the next day!
ConsSo far, I haven't found any drawbacks in my experience using this product.

It effectively addresses uneven texture and removes impurities.
ConsIf you spill the powder, it's a mess. The price varies across different sites. It doesn't lather well, so you need to work hard to create foam.
TipI recommend it for your second cleanse.

I've been using this product for a week without any additional exfoliator, and I found it convenient that the remaining granules provided exfoliation while lathering. The foam isn't particularly dense, but I had no issues removing makeup when using it as a second step after a cleansing milk. For makeup removal alone, it doesn't produce enough foam, so I think it's better suited as a morning cleanser. Unlike Perfect Whip, it doesn't leave your skin feeling squeaky clean, which I appreciated as it didn't cause any deep dryness. Having blemish-prone skin, I pay extra attention to cleansing and have read many recommendations for enzyme cleansers. I'm glad I got the chance to try this one out.
ConsWhen lathering in my hands, I noticed that if I didn't foam it up for long enough, undissolved granules remained, which felt a bit irritating. While I used it for its exfoliating properties, I'd recommend being cautious if you have severe acne or facial wounds. As for the scent, it reminds me of eggplant, which I'm not particularly fond of.

The powder dissolves well in water, so when used as a foam, there's no undissolved powder left, allowing for irritation-free use. Dead skin cell removal 👍: To properly test this product's exfoliation ability, I stopped using other exfoliating products (peels, retinol, exfoliating toners) and used this during my evening cleanse. By day 2, my skin felt smoother, and by day 3, I could really feel the exfoliating effects. After using a deep cleansing foam due to hot weather that caused some flaking, I switched back to this product. Amazingly, I could immediately feel my skin texture improve after cleansing, without any irritation. Hydration 👍: Post-cleanse dryness is much less compared to other exfoliators or cleansing foams. Lather 👍: It creates a rich lather incredibly easily.
Cons- If you're looking for instant dead skin cell removal in just one use, this might not be for you. It works through consistent use. - While it lathers well, the foam doesn't last very long and isn't particularly dense.
TipWorks great as a gentle body exfoliator when mixed with body wash.

I've felt this way since Papa Recipe became popular - the gentle formulation is its best feature, making it safe even for those with sensitive skin. Exfoliation: I tried the Papa Recipe Powder Cleanser when it first came out, and I was impressed by how effectively it exfoliates. While cleansing oils are great for dissolving sebum, they often struggle with dead skin cells. That's why many of us use separate exfoliating pads. However, this product's granules act as a gentle exfoliant, leaving your skin noticeably smoother after cleansing.
ConsLather: Since it doesn't contain typical surfactants, it doesn't produce as much foam as other cleansers. If you prefer a lot of lather, you might find yourself wondering if it's actually cleansing. It may take some time to get used to. Scent: The product is fragrance-free, which gives it a natural, organic smell. However, if you prefer scented products, you might find this aspect a bit disappointing.
Tip- For a deep cleanse, use a cleansing oil followed by the powder cleanser. - For light makeup and gentle cleansing, the powder cleanser alone is sufficient. Tip: The excellent exfoliating properties make it great for use on the neck, chest, or back when you notice rough patches. Try using it in the shower for full-body exfoliation!

It easily dissolved and became soft when I poured about a spoonful into my damp hands and rubbed! When I massaged it on my face, it felt gentle without any irritation. After gently rolling it for 1-2 minutes and rinsing off, my face looked brighter without any redness, which made me feel great! I was so happy that even after applying skincare, my redness didn't flare up. Afterwards, my skin felt comfortable and I didn't experience any blemishes. Two days later, I wanted to do a spot treatment, so I applied it for about 5 minutes on problem areas (chin with small bumps) before cleansing! While the after-effects weren't immediately noticeable in such a short time, I could see a gradual reduction! This is my first time trying an enzyme powder as part of The Hwahae Testers, and I think I'll only use this instead of other exfoliators from now on (seriously). I definitely want to try the white and green versions too, not just the purple one!! It's surprisingly convenient to use, gentle on the skin, and affordable!!!
ConsThose looking for a squeaky clean or cooling sensation after use might be a bit disappointed! I think the green version might be better for that. Also, since it's a powder, you might go through it quickly!
TipFor spot treatments, put a spoonful or two in a small bowl, mix with a little water using an unused brush, apply to the spot for about 5 minutes, then rinse off! They say warmer water works even better!

ConsIt's rare to find a product with no drawbacks... But I honestly can't think of any.
TipRecommended for (in order) and Usage Tips: 1. Sensitive, Dry, Combination skin - Suitable for all skin types, but highly recommended for sensitive and dry skin lacking gentle exfoliating cleansers - (Oily skin is lower priority as there are many strong exfoliating products available) - After washing hands, dampen face with lukewarm water. Use about a coin-sized amount on damp palms and lather thoroughly (until you feel you could count the bubbles!) - Remember, this is primarily an enzymatic chemical exfoliant, not a physical scrub. The key is to dissolve the powder well in water - Gently massage the foam onto skin, rather than rubbing with hands. Rinse thoroughly - Recommended for occasional use when skin feels congested, rather than daily use 2. Oily skin - Can be used daily, but adjust frequency based on skin condition - For thick dead skin buildup, massage briefly then leave foam on for less than a minute to allow enzyme action. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water (Physical exfoliation provides immediate results but can be harsh)

I'll definitely repurchase this with my own money when I run out. It effectively controls facial oil while giving a thorough cleansing sensation! No tightness or irritation after washing. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous! It brightens my mood every time I wash my face. My skin texture has improved, and my complexion feels silky smooth!
ConsThe quantity is a bit less than expected, but apart from that, I'm completely satisfied! It's not a product that produces a lot of foam.
TipNo worries even for super sensitive skin! Being a powder type, the product itself is lightweight and perfect for traveling. Don't hesitate, just buy it!

It's a refreshing change from those thick, dense foams where you can't tell what's being cleansed and where. Plus, those can be a hassle to rinse off. This one lathers up nicely, cleanses gently, and rinses away effortlessly - exactly what I look for in a face wash! The way it refined my skin texture was impressive. The most noticeable improvement was definitely in my skin's texture - it became softer and smoother. While I felt it was gently exfoliating, it wasn't as intense as a peeling gel. Instead, it provided a gentle refinement that left my face incredibly soft and smooth after cleansing. For those with super sensitive skin who find peeling gels, exfoliating pads, or clarifying masks too harsh, this cleanser could be a great way to exfoliate just through your daily cleansing routine.
ConsBefore receiving the Eggplant Clearing cleanser as a Hwahae Tester, I had been using the same brand's Blemish Enzyme Powder. My disappointment stems from not being able to notice any significant difference between these two products.

Even though I'm sensitive to fragrances, I had no aversion to it. - As I have oily skin, exfoliation is essential. Among all the care products I've used so far, this is the most hydrating cleanser! - Although it's meant as a second cleanser, I feel its cleansing power might be too weak for full makeup removal. It's better suited as a second cleanser when you've only applied sunscreen. - The small hole makes it easy to control the amount. When using, think of dispensing about a 500 won coin size for easy measurement. 💙Overall Summary: A truly moisturizing enzyme powder cleanser suitable for all skin types! Highly recommended for how comfortable it leaves your skin feeling.
ConsThere's nothing particularly bad, but if I had to nitpick, it would be the quantity. Since I use it 2-3 times a week depending on my skin condition, this amount should last quite a while. However, considering the regular price, the quantity seems a bit small compared to the cost.
TipBy mixing it with just a little water, you can use it as a somewhat thick enzyme pack.
