The powder gently sits on top of the pores. Even those of us with large pores can achieve nearly invisible coverage by applying primer and layering the powder multiple times. 2. The diverse color range allows for a natural makeup look that matches your skin tone. However, finding your perfect shade might take some trial and error. 3. I use the em Finishing Powder religiously every time I do my makeup, which seems to contribute to its impressive staying power. Rather than breaking down, the makeup seems to fade gracefully, avoiding a messy appearance. 4. It's said to be good for the skin. While I can't definitively say it's better than the BB cream I used before (which didn't cause major blemishes), it does seem to agree with my skin.
Cons1. It can make the skin look dry. When I want a dewy, glowing look, even applying a luminous finishing powder over it feels a bit off. It does blend more naturally with skin oils over time, but for combination skin, it can leave the nose oily and cheeks dry. I've started using a glow booster as a final touch for a natural radiance. 2. Finding your perfect shade initially can be challenging and potentially costly. 3. As a loose powder, it can be messy to use. I apply it in the bathroom to contain the powder. Be careful not to inhale it while applying - try to hold your breath to avoid potential lung irritation. 4. Brush maintenance can be a hassle. Despite these drawbacks, the minimal pore-clogging, natural skin tone match, and lightweight coverage are significant advantages. Some of these cons are inherent to loose powder foundations. I'll likely stick with this product for a long time (maybe forever?).
Tip1. Color selection: 'C' is for cool tones, 'W' for warm (yellow-based), and 'N' for neutral. Lower numbers are lighter, higher numbers darker. 2N or 3N are generally versatile, or try 1W for a slightly warmer tone. Note that W shades are darker than N shades of the same number. 2. Brushes: Daiso foundation brushes work well! Kabuki brushes are also good. Look for brushes with fine, full bristles. 3. For a glowing finish: After applying powder, use a glow booster or similar product for a natural radiance. Apply before the finishing powder for subtle glow, or after for more intensity. To enhance staying power, I apply finishing powder after eye makeup, then touch up eyes again. 4. Pore coverage: em Minerals alone may not suffice. Use a primer first, then em powder concealer for redness around the nose, followed by em foundation. Keep buffing with a brush until pores are less visible. 5. Dark circles and blemishes: The em concealer has light coverage. I use a regular concealer for undereyes and blemishes. The em concealer works well for redness around the nose.

Apply sunscreen first, then use this only on areas you want to cover. It's lightweight yet provides natural coverage, even for dark circles. The staying power is good too. I'm using the Rose Light color, which is perfect for those with a yellow undertone in shade 21.
ConsThe packaging looks a bit cheap, and to get the product out, you need to close the lid, flip it upside down, and tap the back repeatedly. This method of use makes the case get dirty easily.
TipAmong my reviews, this pairs perfectly with the Happy Bath sunscreen. The Happy Bath sunscreen gives a subtle glow, and when you apply this powder on top, it makes your skin look naturally flawless.

As your natural oils come through, it looks beautifully natural! It's the ultimate for pore coverage. Don't underestimate this powder - its coverage is incredibly high! I have uneven skin, but I felt it worked wonders. It effortlessly covers acne scars, pores, and redness. Just use a concealer for very dark spots...
ConsBeing a foreign product... it's hard to find the right shade. The names are all so confusing! I have a yellowish undertone in shade 23 with some acne scars, so my complexion is a bit uneven. I wanted a yellow-based powder to cover redness, so I bought Golden Beige, but it makes my face look muddy... It covers redness perfectly, but there's no brightening effect. As a result, my overall makeup doesn't look pretty. Is there a shade in the Rosy line that's not too light or dark for shade 23? I'm considering Rosy Beige for now...
TipI tap some powder onto the lid and apply it with a brush. I use a kabuki brush, dab it in, tap off the excess, and apply. I always make sure to apply it very, very, very thinly!! I'm so careful that I wonder, 'Did I even apply any? Did I use too little on the brush?' If you apply multiple thin layers, it won't cake, and when your natural oils come through later, you'll have a beautiful glow. It looks best around 3 PM when others are touching up their makeup. I removed the inner lid forcefully since I don't touch up and only use it at home. The hole was too small and frustrating! Also, you know those small Baskin-Robbins spoons? I keep one in a small ziplock bag and use it to scoop out the powder onto the lid when I do my makeup. About half a spoonful is perfect for me.

My skin tone is slightly darker and more yellow than shade 23, with some redness and normal skin type. For me, 4N is a bit light and pink, but it's still okay. It might look a bit bright when first applied, but if you wait a moment, it blends naturally into the skin. Despite being a powder, it's not drying and gives a nice glow. If you apply it over well-absorbed skincare, it looks just like your natural skin. It washes off easily even with mild soap, and surprisingly, it wears off naturally throughout the day. I used to use bareMinerals Original Foundation for about 2 years. This one is a bit more hydrating and has better coverage than bareMinerals. After using mineral foundation for a long time, I've noticed that my skin shows less signs of aging compared to my friends who use liquid foundations.
ConsThe inner lid of the case can't be locked, making it difficult to carry around. The coverage isn't perfect. The staying power isn't great. I might need to buy a finishing powder as suggested by other Hwahae Testers. Also, there are so many shades that it was confusing at first to choose the right one. It might get a bit oily in the peak of summer, but you can switch to the matte version instead of jojoba for that.
TipIf it doesn't seem to be blending well, I splash some cold water on my face and let it dry naturally. When my redness is severe, I mix it with the Jojoba Mint Collector and apply it over the red areas.

It's incredibly lightweight, which is perfect for those hot days when you can't be bothered with a full face of makeup but still need to go out. I just apply a thin layer evenly with a brush and I'm good to go. It's not about coverage, but rather about naturally evening out your skin tone. It's also my go-to for those surprise date nights when my boyfriend calls me out suddenly - I can be ready in 3 minutes flat. Of course, he thinks I'm bare-faced. Even if the change isn't dramatic, just having that radiant complexion makes a woman look beautiful.
ConsThe staying power leaves a lot to be desired. After a long day out, you'll come home to find it's pretty much all worn off. I don't usually touch up my makeup, so that's a bit of a downside. However, I still love this product because it fades naturally without breaking down, and doesn't cause any darkening of the skin.
TipHere's a little trick I use: I tap some of the powder into a small bowl, then use a soft brush to pick up the product evenly. I start applying from the center of my face, using circular motions with the brush, and gradually work my way outwards. It's a technique that works wonders for me.

Even with multiple layers, it still looks natural.
ConsI mainly use a brush to apply it, which makes it a bit inconvenient to carry around.
TipApply after using a hydrating base skincare product.

I'm a middle-aged woman with blemishes who usually uses shade 23. I mainly use Semi-Matte 4N, Jojoba 3C, and occasionally 2W. I always start with 4N as a base (to even out my complexion), cover imperfections with the multi-tasking concealer, and then brighten the center of my face with 3C or 2W. The rest is up to my mood! My basic makeup routine takes just 5 minutes, and once it absorbs into the skin, it looks naturally beautiful. While it doesn't cover all blemishes, it's lightweight and feels comfortable on the skin, which is why I really love this cosmetic product.
ConsIf you don't use the brush correctly, it can clump... It seems to require a bit of skill. These days, dewy, hydrated skin with a glass-like glow is trendy, but this just gives a matte finish and can even make you look dry if you're not careful. It might be better suited for those who already have good skin.
TipIf you find the coverage lacking, try mixing it with jojoba oil or similar to create a custom shade that works for you. Apply a thin layer on your skin, and it'll be like an oil foundation - slightly moisturizing and covering blemishes. Just remember to apply it very thinly!

The brush is also really nice!
ConsSince it's a powder, the excess that flies around when applying makeup is a bit inconvenient. It works better when mixed with oil or pressed into the skin!

It offers good coverage without looking cakey, giving a natural complexion. I'm really satisfied with the ingredients compared to other foundations. I used the matte base in Golden Ivory 0W, which seemed a bit lighter than shade 21, so I mixed it with a darker shade. It neutralizes redness well without being overly yellow! Recommended for those with redness between shades 13-21.
ConsThere's some excess powder when applying, and you need to buy a separate brush or puff to use it. This reduces its portability, unfortunately.
TipUsing an empty container from another powder product can make it a bit more convenient to carry around.
