My skin tone is slightly darker and more yellow than shade 23, with some redness and normal skin type. For me, 4N is a bit light and pink, but it's still okay. It might look a bit bright when first applied, but if you wait a moment, it blends naturally into the skin. Despite being a powder, it's not drying and gives a nice glow. If you apply it over well-absorbed skincare, it looks just like your natural skin. It washes off easily even with mild soap, and surprisingly, it wears off naturally throughout the day. I used to use bareMinerals Original Foundation for about 2 years. This one is a bit more hydrating and has better coverage than bareMinerals. After using mineral foundation for a long time, I've noticed that my skin shows less signs of aging compared to my friends who use liquid foundations.
ConsThe inner lid of the case can't be locked, making it difficult to carry around. The coverage isn't perfect. The staying power isn't great. I might need to buy a finishing powder as suggested by other Hwahae Testers. Also, there are so many shades that it was confusing at first to choose the right one. It might get a bit oily in the peak of summer, but you can switch to the matte version instead of jojoba for that.
TipIf it doesn't seem to be blending well, I splash some cold water on my face and let it dry naturally. When my redness is severe, I mix it with the Jojoba Mint Collector and apply it over the red areas.

I've tried both semi-matte and matte versions. My skin tone is around #22, a bit on the warmer side. Initially, I used Fairy Light, then Fairy Light Neutral. When my skin is more tanned, Fairy Light is better, but when my dermatitis flares up and I'm all red, Fairy Light Neutral suits me better. Now the names have changed, so it might be called Light 2N or something similar. You can find a comparison chart with the old color names on the EM site. Interestingly, the coverage of these bases varies depending on the brush you use. I use the Real Techniques foundation brush and EcoTools kabuki brush.
ConsIt takes forever to use up, haha! But since I'm scooping it out anyway, it doesn't really matter.
TipFirst, prepare your face by mixing sunscreen and a gentle BB cream in a 5:2 ratio. Then, tap some of this product onto the lid, swirl your brush in it, tap off the excess like you're ashing a cigarette, and apply it to your face using circular motions with a flick of the wrist. For the nose, use a stamping motion with the brush. This is because if you swirl powder on your nose, it makes your pores look huge... ugh. Two layers should give decent coverage. Your vanity will end up covered in EM powder! P.S. There's a 20% off sale on iHerb until July 27, 2016!

Among mineral foundations, this one caused zero irritation (Laura Mercier's powder with bismuth oxychloride gifted my skin with tiny bumps). No side effects like acne or excess sebum. I was worried about zinc oxide, but it's not in this, so no itching after application - that's great. The coverage is pretty decent too. For a dark-skinned gal like me, 1w was perfect. People say it's hard to choose a shade... but I nailed it on the first try since I'm particularly yellow-toned. It doesn't float and lasts long... doesn't disappear by the time I get home. I bought a flat top brush too, but I'm using a large Real Techniques brush now - highly recommend Real Techniques! It makes my skin look smooth... It's like a makeup innovation(?), I really like it... It's just gentle, and while it can be a headache when powder falls during application, unlike foundation that never comes off clothes or bags, this washes right off with Bioderma or water... It's a game-changer that I can order directly from iHerb. Plus, it's affordable and will last forever. A product that doesn't even need primer!
ConsI have oily skin but with some deep dryness, so... There are times when it very slightly separates (but you can't tell from a distance... I just notice because I look at my face up close every day). I think this is more about my makeup technique or needing to do more sheet masks... The product itself is quite good and I'm 200% likely to repurchase. I hope iHerb keeps selling this product. It should be used with a brush... but the Everyday Minerals brush is not that great. I'd strongly recommend Real Techniques instead.. Real Techniques brushes are much softer and better to use.. Another downside? Sometimes the mineral powder doesn't come out and I have to shake it like crazy, but hitting it with the Real Techniques brush gets the powder out. In my case, I'm not satisfied with small amounts, so... Anyway, that's how it is~
TipMoisturize well before applying makeup~ If you tap the big Real Techniques brush handle firmly, the powder comes out well. Of course, do this while it's closed... Be careful as there might be some excess powder flying around. Don't buy the Everyday Minerals brush. It doesn't dry well and... um... it's scratchy.

I mix it with sunscreen, use it for light makeup, or as a touch-up powder.
ConsThe packaging is flimsy, making it inconvenient to carry around. Those unfamiliar with powder formulations might find it challenging to use.
TipIt's convenient to carry if you put it in a portable powder compact.
