The ingredients are fantastic! That's probably why it doesn't cause blemishes and allows for a natural-looking skin finish. It tends to break down easily. Though if there's a silver lining, at least it fades gracefully. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 28, 2018
After years of searching for a BB cream without dimethicone and stearic acid, I finally discovered one from Sidmool. Though Sidmool is well-known, I had never tried their products before and was hesitant to buy based on just the Saccharo BF sample. I deliberated for months until I learned you could try the small sample included with the full-size product before opening the seal. This gave me peace of mind to place an order. <Coverage/Color> I feel like I've found my holy grail. After reading nearly every review online, I wasn't worried about the ingredients, but I'm pleased with the color and coverage too. (Very satisfied - personally, I only need to use a stick concealer on one spot). I chose shade 23 because I dislike overly pale makeup. Reviews varied widely on the shade, but I figured I could always mix with shade 21 if needed. (I consider my skin tone a 22). I'm happy with the result - my skin looks healthy. Mixing with sunscreen or adding powder can lighten it, so I probably won't need shade 21. <Application> Trying the sample first, my skin feels incredibly comfortable. Despite being silicone-free, it applies smoothly with no irritation or tingling. It's on the richer side, so you'll definitely feel like you're wearing makeup. This would be perfect for dry skin, while oily skin types may want to use a lighter base. I've tried various application methods, but find patting it on with an air puff gives the most even, smooth finish. +Update 8/1) It's much better to absorb the product into the air puff from the back of your hand, then pat onto skin. The short shelf life (6 months after opening) is definitely an issue for a BB cream. Since the ingredients are good, I plan to decant some for on-the-go use and use it generously. Even if I can't finish it all, it's not expensive, so I'll likely repurchase in 6 months. +Update 8/1) While fine for everyday, I wouldn't recommend this for important occasions like interviews or dates. It can look excessively shiny, especially on oily skin. I'll need to compare using powder on top vs. a silicone foundation for big events. +Update 8/13) When fully absorbed into the air puff before patting on, it applies much lighter, almost like shade 21. There's no darkening even hours later (without powder). Mixed with sunscreen, it would likely be a very light 21. Oddly, it's much lighter now than when I first used it. Skin does get a bit red when removing with cleansing water, despite the gentle ingredients. Still satisfied since it doesn't cause blemishes. +Update 9/4) After a while, it can look more greasy than glowy. Questionable for summer, but likely good for winter. +Update 10/6) Recommend smoothing on with fingers along skin texture. Absorbs well. Hand application seems best due to lack of silicone (when skin is in good condition). +Update 19.02.15) After using through summer, fall and winter, I think it's best as a winter BB cream. Nice 21-22 shade (yellow-based, not pink) that matches neck well. Using Isoi One Step Cleanser twice works well for my sensitive skin in winter. +Update 19.08.13) Purchased my second bottle. - If this shade is too dark, try mixing with sunscreen (should work well alone for most skin tones) - Due to the rich texture, blotting papers likely won't be effective. Carry toner (in a travel bottle), cotton pads, and Saccharo samples for touch-ups (expect to touch up more frequently than usual) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 21, 2017
My life is a roller coaster! My skin can be described as combination skin with dehydration, but it's basically dry skin with a bit of acne. It's so dry, oily, and troublesome... While searching for a BB cream to use in the winter, I came across some Sidmool products that I'm quite satisfied with and have been using well. Since my skin is a bit dark and I have quite a few acne scars, I was looking for a natural BB cream that is dark and provides good coverage. I decided to try one that seemed to fit my requirements. The tone was a natural yellow-based tone, and it gets brighter if you apply more. The coverage for a natural BB cream was really good. The staying power was decent, lasting around 5-6 hours. On days when I had to work all day, I only needed to touch it up once. Most importantly, my skin feels so comfortable! When I wear makeup, my eyes usually feel tired and my face feels stuffy, but I didn't experience any of that with this BB cream. It was so comfortable. Dry-skinned people can use this comfortably year-round if you have a solid skincare routine. I wouldn't really recommend it for oily skin types in the summer, as it gets quite dewy and can stick to the hair a bit. However, for oily skin types, I recommend using a powder and brush to lightly dust over the skin after applying the BB cream. This helps control the dewiness and makes it last longer. I've tried other natural BB creams before, and they would get really greasy and break down quickly without powder. But this one holds up pretty well even without powder. I highly recommend this! When it starts to break down, it's not the most attractive look. If you apply it too generously, it can get a bit dewy and start to crease in the wrinkles and accentuate the pores a little. On drier days, when it starts to break down, you can see a bit of flakiness. And the point about it sticking to the hair is true too. But the good thing is that it doesn't leave any hair marks, which is really nice. Other than that, I don't have any other major issues with it. For dry skin types, you can get a dewy, radiant complexion by applying the BB cream generously with a cushion puff - about two bean-sized amounts, and applying it to the cheeks, forehead, nose, and chin in that order, then patting it in. I did this and got so many compliments on how beautiful my skin looked! People would even ask what product I was using. However, in the spring and summer, it's best to use a more lightweight, hydrating skincare routine as the base. The BB cream itself has a bit of oil, so in seasons other than winter, a solid skincare routine plus the BB cream can lead to a bit of creasing and pore emphasis when it starts to break down. Lately, I've been applying a light moisturizing cream or gel cream first, then immediately following with this BB cream. If you have oily skin, just use a light toner and essence/lotion, then apply with the cushion puff. After that, lightly dust over with a powder using a brush. I've found this works really well for me on warmer days. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 21, 2017
It's quite gentle Definitely less irritation and itchiness after removing makeup The ingredients are good, and the redness is reasonably covered The spreadability is too poor It accentuates the skin's texture and crumbles terribly The color is also very yellowish, like someone with jaundice... I have to mix it with a gray-toned one 😭 Apart from the ingredients, the spreadability, longevity, and crumbling are all terrible.. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 11, 2017
Good ingredients. Good price. Nothing else. More than 20 characters. Extremely short-lasting. Disgustingly crumbles. Dirty oily feel. Tried to use with good ingredients, but while applying, the expression, lasting power, and color were absolutely not good. When I applied this, I saw my skin crumbling disgustingly for the first time. Wow, I'll try this 10 times and then into the trash. But it's still a top product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 3, 2017
Hello :) I'm Adelwhite :) I was using the Etude House AC cushion, but even after using it for a long time, my acne kept coming back :( So I decided to switch to a base makeup product with gentler ingredients, even if the coverage is a bit weaker. I thought about trying the Medicube products, but the ingredients seemed quite different from what's listed on Hwahae. 1. The biggest advantage is that the ingredients are great!! The full ingredient list matches what's shown on Hwahae, so I can use it without worry. Lately, my acne hasn't been flaring up as much, and I'm satisfied that it's not breaking me out due to the makeup. 2. Even after wearing the makeup for a long time, my acne didn't come back. 3. I'm on the darker side, and the 23 shade looked a bit pale on me. I think it's because the makeup tends to look more obvious on my skin tone. 4. There's no burden or irritation on my skin. 5. The amount seems quite generous compared to just using a cushion. 6. It gives a subtle glow when applied, so I think it would be great for people with nice skin (I'm a bit jealous 8T8) The disappointing aspects were: 1. The coverage is quite weak. It can somewhat color-correct, but it doesn't cover acne scars. Because the coverage is weak, I had to apply a lot. 2. The most disappointing part is that the adhesion is too poor, so it looked patchy even on my oily skin. 3. The way it breaks down is also quite unsightly. 4. The formula is thin and soft, but the lack of adhesion makes me think it's like the clay-based makeup products from the Goryeo dynasty (like the makeup Hae-soo would have used in Bossam: Steal the Fate). I guess having such pure ingredients means there's no way around the poor adhesion. I bought an Aritaum cushion case and made a cushion out of it. Making it into a cushion definitely helps with touch-ups! The coverage in photos goes from: Not applied -> 1-2 applications -> 3-4 applications The more I applied, the more it looked patchy and clung to dry spots. To improve the adhesion, I'm considering using a very thin, watery toner or ampoule along with it, since the cushion ended up not being as dewy as I'd hoped. In the cushion case, I mixed: Sakaro BF Cream + The Saem Aqua Ampoule + Aromatica Soothing Gel #One month later review My acne definitely hasn't been flaring up!! Since it's such a gentle makeup product. But the separation is terrible ㅜㅜ Even when I apply it with my fingers, it slides and separates. Over time, it breaks down horribly around my nose area, looking patchy and my oil pokes through whitishly ㅜ The tip is to first apply a thin layer with a foundation brush, then dab over it with a puff to smooth out the brush strokes. That way, it applies a bit thinner and adheres better, though the adhesion is still not great. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 31, 2016
This is really, really good. Those with sensitive skin should definitely use it. There are no blemishes at all, and I've tried many, but none are as gentle as this one. The glow makes the skin look healthy. Don't expect much in terms of lasting power or coverage... But after some time, it doesn't seem to leave an oily residue on the face, and just gives a natural glow. The color is a bit ambiguous ㅜㅠ Use it with the 23rd shade and mix in some sunscreen... I have extremely fair skin, and when I mix it with sunscreen (ratio of 2 parts BB cream to 1 part sunscreen), it looks natural and good ㅎㅎ Those with severe flakiness should mix it with an oil before using - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 7, 2016
Honestly, it can be difficult to pay attention to the ingredients in base products, but this one had ingredients that were almost like a skincare product. It would be particularly suitable for those with sensitive skin who can't just slather on anything, but also can't go out with bare skin. I have a slightly darker and more yellow complexion than 21, and when I apply the Dr. Troub sunscreen (which has quite a bit of white cast) and then this, it creates the perfect match for my skin tone. I didn't buy it with the intention of brightening, so it doesn't make me look dramatically lighter, but it does make me look much more radiant. It's moisturizing and has a soft, smooth application. After applying, it leaves a subtle glow, not a shiny finish. It's more like my skin naturally has a honey-like sheen. And it doesn't get cakey at all. I have combination skin and sweat a lot, but I didn't experience any darkening with this on my skin! With foundations, how nicely they break down is important, and this one breaks down beautifully - in a natural way. The coverage is just right. Since it doesn't contain silicone or the PEG series of ingredients, the adhesion is really not great. The longevity isn't particularly good either. By the evening, it's quite broken down. I think it's better to apply this with a tool other than your fingers. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 7, 2016
Even after wearing makeup all day, I don't feel like my skin is damaged! I've been purchasing several bottles because the ingredients are good, but when it breaks down, it really looks unsightly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 22, 2016
The acne really didn't stay on after I applied the air puff, and the application was fairly smooth. As long as I changed the air puff frequently, I was able to apply it without any acne issues. The coverage, coverage, coverage... Plus, when I applied it with a sunscreen in the summer, it got so sticky that my hair got all matted down, and it wiped off quickly. It seems like it would be nice and moisturizing to use in the winter, though.
