My scalp and face are very oily, so I've only been applying the shea butter to my dry body. When I apply body lotion, mixing it with the shea butter definitely improves the moisturizing power. Especially in the winter, I never skip applying it, and the difference between the days I apply it and the days I don't is significant, so even though it's a hassle, I make sure to mix and apply it.
ConsThe texture is somewhere between waxy and soft. It looks like it would melt smoothly, but you have to rub it in for a long time for it to absorb. The slow absorption leaves a sticky feeling after applying it.
TipWhen your heels get rough in the winter, apply shea butter directly to the soles of your feet and wear sleep socks.

ConsIt takes a bit of time to absorb. Since it's not chemically treated, you'll have to bear with that to some degree.

It's affordable and the volume is generous, which is great.
ConsPeople with oily skin may not like it much as it's quite buttery and feels a bit sticky and not easily absorbed.
TipMixing it with a more lightweight, hydrating lotion or toner could help reduce the stickiness and improve absorption.

ConsIt can be a hassle to melt and apply, and it takes time for it to be absorbed. Sometimes I can feel the grainy particles.

Shea butter is a plant-based fat extracted from the fruit, and it's said to have skin moisturizing, regenerative, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. When I first started using it, I applied a generous amount after my skincare routine, but my face felt tight, so I had to apply it multiple times. It seems like my face was really lacking in moisture. Now I'm using a mix of shea butter, jojoba oil, and coconut oil. The coconut oil makes it smell nice and I think it's even more moisturizing.
ConsEverything else is good, but it's annoying having to keep rubbing the oil into my hands to absorb it.

I would apply 2 lotions and 2 creams from Korean cosmetic brands. Of course, the expensive creams were a bit better, but I couldn't keep buying ones over 100,000 won every time, as the amount was too small. Physiogel made my skin feel very tight, and Cetaphil was even worse. Then I tried the Egyptian Magic Cream, but that also made my skin feel tight, so I didn't repurchase it. Then I started using shea butter, and oh, it was a whole new world! It's thick and oily, but out of everything I've tried, it's the one that leaves my skin feeling the least tight and lasts the longest in terms of hydration! I've been using this ever since. The ingredients are also great. The jar is huge, haha. I think I've been using shea butter for over 5-7 years now. It's the best! Also, in the winter, I apply jojoba oil on top or mix it in, and the hydration is amazing~ I use oil instead of lotion.
ConsHmm, when you order products online, it's a bit of a gamble. Some are fine, but some end up with a weird, grainy texture. That's really hard to apply. It's frustrating. I think the ones that come out grainy like that might be a bit defective. Other than that, I don't really have any other complaints. Though, for those with oily or normal skin, it might feel too greasy and not absorb well. It can feel like it's just sitting on top of the skin. I bought it for my family members, and they all hated it. This is really good for those with dry, dehydrated skin. For other skin types, it's better to use only a small amount or mix it with another cream. My skin absorbs it quickly, so I don't really get that greasy or shiny look. To others, my skin might look nicely hydrated. But I'd recommend this for those with dry, dehydrated skin!
TipShea butter cream can harden when the temperature is low. If it's inconvenient to melt it every time you apply it to your face, you can just leave it on a slightly warm surface. In the winter, you can just keep it on the floor and it'll become really soft and smooth. And if it comes in a grainy texture, you can try melting it in warm water or under a blanket, and that can sometimes help it transform back to a normal texture. But if it's really bad, even that doesn't work. In that case, you can try rolling it between your palms to warm it up before applying. Rubbing it directly on your face can feel a bit like an exfoliating scrub, ugh. I wonder why they sometimes send out those defective products.

Looking back, using this shea butter along with Now Foods jojoba oil, it has been gradually improving.
ConsIt's difficult to use in the summer as it's a bit heavy. I can only use it again around winter. Normally I only apply it around my eyes and neck area, and the absorption is very slow.
TipIt's best to apply it before bed for it to be somewhat effective.

It's gentle on the skin. It can also be applied to the lips. It doesn't leave a glossy finish. It's non-irritating. It's mild and gentle. It's free of artificial fragrances.
ConsIt may be too rich for oily skin types. Over time, it doesn't absorb well and just sits on the surface, feeling slippery. Even after washing, the unpleasant lingering odor doesn't come off.

It's probably the best body product out there!! It's the best in winter
ConsThe absorption is too slow, even after applying and waiting for a long time, it's still very sluggish And it's in a pump type, so it's too inconvenient to use

It has good moisturizing power and no stickiness, so I was very satisfied with it. It is a product I always used on dry days for my atopic skin.
ConsThe absorption is... You need to massage it for a long time, a very long time.
TipBy the way, for atopic skin, mixing it with another product (Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream) and applying it like a body lotion improves the absorption. The moisturizing power is doubled compared to using the lotion alone. (You do need to be a bit careful when cleansing, though. Otherwise, it may get left behind later.)
