Scoop out a bit with a spatula, melt it with the warmth of your hands, and let it absorb into your skin. It creates an amazing moisture barrier that's perfect for the cold winter months or dry seasonal changes. There's nothing quite like it! It's a versatile product that works wonders for both face and body.
ConsIn summer, it melts due to the heat, becoming slippery and difficult to control the amount. It might be too rich to use on its own during the warmer months.
TipTry mixing it with aloe gel for a perfect balance of oil and moisture. This makes it lighter and more refreshing to use.

Though it's a bit oily and needs to be warmed up before application, it seems to really help with hydration.
ConsThe lack of a spatula means I have to use my fingers, which isn't ideal for hygiene. In summer, it can feel a bit too rich, and it tends to transfer onto clothes or anything that touches your skin, which can be inconvenient.

While it's not the smoothest to apply, I found patting small amounts worked well. It's great for hydration, and I even noticed it helped calm my blemishes! The scent is very subtle, reminiscent of clay, but not off-putting. I was torn between this and L'Occitane, but chose this for its lower price and good reviews. I'm happy with my decision!
ConsIn summer, it can feel a bit sticky, causing hair to cling to your face. Despite its rich texture, I didn't experience any blemishes or clogged pores! The hydration doesn't last all day though, and I notice some deep dryness by the afternoon.

When you scoop a bit and rub it in, the granules disappear quickly. The scent might be a deal-breaker for some - it's like a natural fruit aroma, somewhat rich. Personally, I love these natural scents, as it means no artificial fragrances are added! If Loccitane's shea butter absorbs well, has a nice texture, an unobtrusive scent, but feels slow to absorb and sits on the skin, Now Foods' version doesn't sit on the skin or take ages to absorb. I really like it!
ConsIt's only cost-effective if you buy it through direct overseas purchase. You need a spatula to use it hygienically. It can be a bit of a hassle to melt the granules - you either need to microwave it or rub it to dissolve. Even those with dry skin might find it too heavy to use in summer, unfortunately.
TipI sometimes use it like a cleansing balm to remove makeup. I also mix it with body lotion, use it as a lip balm, and apply it to my feet before putting on socks at night - it leaves them super moisturized. It's incredibly versatile, except during summer - I'd say it's 200% useful!

One jar lasts about 3 months when used on my belly, thighs, and buttocks. I usually buy two or three jars at a time through direct purchase. Currently pregnant, I'm mixing it with almond oil. Although I got a lot of stretch marks with my first child (I used a different product then...), I'm trying my best to minimize them this time. It definitely reduces itching and the effects last longer.
ConsIt's a bit heavy for summer use. And in winter, the texture makes it difficult to apply on its own.
TipI simply pour some almond oil into the jar and mix it. This makes it easier to scoop out and apply. Using it with oil extends the moisturizing effect. No itchiness in winter at all.

I mainly apply it to my lips and elbows. Especially when I slather it on my lips before bed, they become incredibly soft by morning. Since I use it primarily for specific areas, the amount feels quite generous. I've had it for over 6 months and still have about 3/4 left... It's even okay to share with friends! The texture, despite being buttery, has a nice balance of moisture and feels oily, but it absorbs quickly. After application, my skin feels hydrated and smooth, which is fantastic. As it's a multi-use product, the possibilities are endless... There's joy in discovering and developing new ways to use it.
ConsThe application... Only those who own this product will truly understand. When you first scoop it out, it comes off in powdery, granular bits... similar to butter from the fridge. It melts well in summer, but in the dead of winter, body heat alone isn't quite enough to soften it... You might need to use a double boiler or something similar. I found that melting it in a candle warmer reduced my stress... Of course, it's a bit of a hassle to turn on the warmer and transfer the product, but it works.
TipIt's convenient to stuff some into an empty lip balm container for on-the-go use. One product for face, lips, and body! When using a sheet mask, applying a bit on top can help prevent evaporation. Melting it in a Daiso candle warmer is very convenient (highly recommended). However, make sure to get one with open sides like in the photo. Otherwise, the flame will go out quickly due to lack of oxygen.

It's the ultimate hydration technique!
ConsWhile oil and shea butter are fantastic for moisture in winter, they can feel a bit heavy during the summer months.
TipFor maximum hydration, apply the mixture all over your body in the warm, steamy bathroom right after bathing, while your skin is still damp. Then, gently pat dry with a towel to lock in the moisture.

I tried it, and it's truly gentle! Looking back, I think my skin gradually improved while using this shea butter along with Now Foods jojoba oil.
ConsIt's difficult to apply in summer as it feels a bit heavy. I can only use it again around winter. Usually, I only apply it around my eyes and neck area. Also, it absorbs very slowly.
TipIt's somewhat okay if you apply it before going to sleep.

But this product has been amazing for hydration! I use it, my husband uses it, and it works wonders on dry areas. It's great for those with sensitive noses as it's fragrance-free. The affordable price is a huge plus, and I'll definitely repurchase!
ConsSince it's 100% shea butter, it absorbs slowly. It's tricky to wait for absorption with a wiggly baby, as it tends to rub off. Also, it feels quite heavy for summer use. There wasn't a spatula included, so I had to use one I already had.
TipFor hygiene, it's best to transfer some to a separate container or use a spatula, as the quantity is quite large.

ConsIt feels a bit heavy for summer use. You need to apply just a tiny amount.
