Since my skin tends to get dry easily, I focused on applying it generously to areas that are particularly prone to dryness. The texture is unique due to the shea butter, which melts with body heat when applied, helping to maintain hydration. The butter-like texture might be unfamiliar and could be a hit or miss for some people. - kv****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 4, 2024
I loved that it's 100% shea butter, making it so versatile for use all over. The hydration is excellent too. Being a shea butter balm, it felt a bit stiff, which was slightly disappointing. But since it's a natural butter, I could accept that as unavoidable. It's great to apply after your skincare routine when your skin feels extremely dry in winter. To improve the absorption, warm it up between your palms before applying, almost as if you're saying a little prayer for your skin. - ki********Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedNov 29, 2023
Wow, this completely healed my heels and elbows! It's amazing! No downsides, but it's so rich you need to wrap it in plastic. I always use it with a cream. Mix it 1:1 with cream, apply to your heels, cover with plastic, and sleep. You'll wake up with baby-soft feet! This is my third repurchase. It might be too intense to use on its own though. - my**********Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 15, 2023
This is truly the best when it comes to affordability and hydration. I used it with great satisfaction. The scent might be polarizing, and there's a slight sticky feeling. - ho******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 26, 2023
The organic shea butter provides long-lasting hydration, making it perfect for dry areas affected by eczema In winter, the product's texture becomes powdery and crumbly, making it a bit inconvenient to apply - th**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJun 5, 2023
I've bought a lot of supplements from Now Foods through international shipping. Great value for money! Mixing the oil with shea butter gives excellent moisturizing effects. It might be a bit heavy for oily skin types, which could potentially lead to blemishes. - so******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 23, 2023
A magical solution for cracked lips - just slather it on thickly and they heal instantly. It's not just for the face; apply it to cracked heels, wear sleep socks, and wake up to incredibly soft feet. I don't apply it directly to my skin for fear of clogging pores, though I'm not sure if that's a real concern. The quantity is generous, and I have absolutely no complaints. And yes, I purchased this with my own money. During dry seasons like now, it's great to pat it gently under the eyes and on cheeks. If you're worried about clogged pores, here's a tip: warm it up by rubbing it between your palms, then cup your face with your warm hands. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedDec 3, 2021
You can feel the hydration just from the name! It's one of those rare products that lives up to expectations. With its affordable price and generous amount, I'm using it everywhere - on my face, neck, hands, and even my heels! When I opened the lid, I thought I'd bought a scrub instead of a cream! The granules are huge - I'd heard about it in Hwahae reviews, but I didn't expect this level. It's like Skinfood's Black Sugar Mask! It's a bit challenging to melt completely with your hands, and when I applied it with some granules left, it felt like a harsh scrub. As a single mom with a 5-year-old, it's tough to use. After showering with my daughter and trying to apply it to both of us, there were too many granules left. I'd rather splurge on a regular moisturizer for my sanity. I can't recommend this to other busy moms - it's not practical unless your kids are asleep, and they always seem to wake up at the worst times! It has one major flaw that overshadows all its good points. Choosing whether to recommend it is tricky. Assuming most Hwahae users don't have kids, I'll give it a slight recommendation, but only 3 stars. Whether it's a body cream, moisturizer, or oil, mixing this with anything else makes it great for use anywhere, especially on heels. If you apply it to your heels and wear silicone heel socks, even 30-something heels become super smooth! I never realized the importance of heel care until recently, and this seems good for that. However, there's a significant drawback that prevents me from strongly recommending it. - er******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 25, 2021
The scent is pleasant, with notes of grass and herbs. It's great as both a lip balm and hand cream. Even though it's recommended to melt it slightly for a smoother texture, I find it's still quite thick for a hand cream. So I put some on the back of my hand, let it melt a bit, then spread it. Luckily, it melts well despite my poor circulation. Although it doesn't absorb easily, the moisturizing effect lasts long, which is perfect for these times when we're washing our hands frequently. If the feel changes as the weather gets colder, I'll update my review. I bought it during cold weather, so the granules were too large and didn't melt well with body heat. I had to melt it, which was a bit of a hassle. Here's how I melted it: 1. Put a small amount in a heat-resistant container and microwave in short bursts, checking frequently. Remove when it's fully melted and transparent like a liquid. (Some say overheating shea butter can cause hard crystals to form, so be careful.) 2. I let it cool at room temperature for about an hour on a slightly cold day, and it solidified to an opaque, soft lip balm-like consistency, ready to use. Important note: the original container is made of PET plastic. Some people heat it directly in a candle warmer, but this is dangerous! PET releases harmful chemicals when heated. Always transfer to a heat-safe container before melting. Also, heating the entire product can lead to faster oxidation, nutrient degradation, and spoilage. For best preservation, store shea butter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 19, 2021
I bought this because my child's skin was extremely dry. It's quite rich, which really helps with the dryness. The texture is almost like a solid, making it a bit challenging for a child to apply on their own. We scoop some out and warm it up in our hands before applying.
