The texture feels pleasantly fresh and nice, but I couldn't find anything particularly remarkable about it Despite the good ingredients, it seems this product doesn't agree with my skin. Blemishes appeared almost immediately - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 28, 2019
It's free from harmful ingredients and fragrance-free. I've been avoiding anything that feels even slightly off since I have contact dermatitis. I used a sample for about 5 days, but unfortunately, the results weren't great. The rich texture does provide a noticeable moisturizing effect. I used this with the toner from the same line. At first, it seemed fine, but on the last day, my dermatitis flared up again. My face felt itchy, like insects crawling on it. I mainly applied it to my dry cheeks and lightly on the T-zone, but it still didn't suit me. Since I'm fine when using the toner with other products, I think the cream is the issue. Even though the ingredients are good, it was probably too heavy for my skin. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily-leaning skin. The hydration didn't last very long either. I felt a slight dryness returning after a few hours. It might work better if you use a serum before applying this cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 18, 2018
First off, there are absolutely no harmful ingredients! It's described as a cream that activates natural moisturizing factors deep within the skin, enhancing the skin's own ability to retain moisture. What I find unique about this cream is its texture. It's probably the thickest, most solid cream I've ever used. I'm used to lightweight, fluid creams that spread easily with a moist feel. But this one is quite dense, likely due to its barrier-forming properties. Surprisingly, after application, it feels more powdery than moisturizing. It's as if you haven't applied cream at all - that's the charm of this product! Update 11/21: Wow... you really need to use this cream for a while to appreciate its true value. My skin usually feels very tight after cleansing, but with continued use of this cream, there's no dryness. It's like there's a protective layer on my skin (sorry, I'm not great at describing it!). Anyway, it genuinely provides a pudding-like moisture. I'm so impressed! I'll definitely repurchase! I noticed some dead skin cells forming, though this could be due to the winter weather (not necessarily the cream's fault). When I applied powder foundation, it flaked off around my cheeks. I also got about three blemishes... not sure if it's because of a face mask I used or this cream, but just FYI. Because it leaves a powdery finish, I can't say it's extremely moisturizing. I had high hopes... Also, due to its thick texture, you need to use quite a bit of product. I find myself reapplying several times because it doesn't feel like I've applied enough. Don't use it on and off. If you use it consistently, you'll come to appreciate its true value. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 9, 2018
I tried a sample I received. My skin is extremely dry, so I often test moisturizer samples. The texture is rich, and it absorbs well. The initial impression was good, but... I'm not sure what didn't agree with my skin. For this product test, I only applied toner, serum, and this cream. As I mentioned before, it felt nice as it absorbed initially. However, when I gently patted it in, my cheeks and the area under my nose became flushed. I also felt a slight tingling sensation. It seems to have more oil than hydration. You could call it an oil cream rather than a moisturizer. I'm writing this right after application. I'll try sleeping with just this on and see how it feels in the morning. I'll update my review later. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 2, 2018
The ingredients are great and it's so hydrating. I used a sample and was about to buy the full-size, but I decided to get another sample just to be sure. At first, I thought it was good, but while using the sample, my face became blotchy and red. I realized this product doesn't suit me either. I wouldn't recommend this for summer or for those with oily skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 31, 2018
The texture absorbs nicely, not too thick but creamy, which I really liked I tried it because it was supposed to be good for oily skin, but it didn't work well for me. It caused a lot of blemishes and completely upset my skin None - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJan 14, 2018
The hydration felt pretty good, and I especially like that it doesn't contain any harmful ingredients. Unfortunately, this product didn't suit my skin. For reference, I have dry and super sensitive skin. After using it for about a week, my skin suddenly became red and irritated. Also, it felt too rich for me. Even if a product is free from harmful ingredients, it may still not be suitable for your skin type. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 8, 2018
The hydration seems good, but it doesn't seem to agree with my skin... Is anyone else experiencing similar symptoms? It's likely due to this product... Yesterday, my skin felt dry, so I applied it twice, and it got even worse. The burning sensation was intense... I went to the dermatologist, and they said I have folliculitis and my skin barrier is completely compromised. This has never happened to me before. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 3, 2018
After using Make P:rem cream for a while, I decided to try this product as I needed something with longer-lasting hydration for the colder weather. The moisturizing effect definitely lasts longer. The cream has an emulsion-like texture that absorbs quickly, so even when I reapply, it doesn't feel like it's sitting on top of my skin. Interestingly, while my skin doesn't look dewy on the surface, it doesn't feel tight underneath, which is quite impressive. Unfortunately, I experienced some blemishes with this product. I initially wasn't sure if it was causing issues because I was taking herbal medicine at the time, which gave me some skin reactions. So I continued using it even after the reactions cleared up, but I still got some breakouts. It wasn't severe, but I consistently got a few small pimples, especially in areas with larger pores. This was in contrast to the Make P:rem cream I used before, which didn't cause any problems. Because of this, I won't be repurchasing and plan to go back to using the Make P:rem cream. I think those with dry skin will likely enjoy this product! If you have extremely dry skin, you probably already do this, but I'd recommend applying an oil on top of this cream for extra moisture. For combination dehydrated skin like mine, the potential for blemishes may vary from person to person, so it might be worth trying once. For those with oily skin, I'd highly recommend it based on how it feels, but again, the likelihood of breakouts could differ for each individual. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 23, 2017
[A review from The Hwahae Testers] 1. The moment you apply it to your skin, it feels like it absorbs like water. 2. The scent is pleasant and the overall experience wasn't bad! 3. The quantity is generous! It's a great deal for those who find it suits them well. 4. Since the ingredients are good to begin with, it makes you want to trust and try it. However, no matter how good the ingredients are, it seems there's nothing you can do if it doesn't suit you... While using this, my skin became extremely dry, rough, and flaky, eventually leading to a breakout of blemishes... I originally have super sensitive skin, so I get signals right away when I apply something that doesn't suit me. Still, being part of The Hwahae Testers, I diligently applied it morning and night for two weeks, monitoring my skin condition. But with consistent use, there was no improvement, and my blemishes only got worse. It really hit home that no matter how good the ingredients are, you need to find what works for you... Although it's a hydrating moisturizer, I found it a bit drying. I have combination dehydrated skin, so I usually apply light formulas in thin layers multiple times. However, the Reduce cream might be too light because after some time, my skin feels very dry. I think it would work well if used with a richer cream or face oil! As I tend to avoid oily cosmetics, I applied this after using three layers of toner instead.
