I tried a sample I received. My skin is extremely dry, so I often test moisturizer samples. The texture is rich, and it absorbs well. The initial impression was good, but... I'm not sure what didn't agree with my skin. For this product test, I only applied toner, serum, and this cream. As I mentioned before, it felt nice as it absorbed initially. However, when I gently patted it in, my cheeks and the area under my nose became flushed. I also felt a slight tingling sensation. It seems to have more oil than hydration. You could call it an oil cream rather than a moisturizer. I'm writing this right after application. I'll try sleeping with just this on and see how it feels in the morning. I'll update my review later. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 28, 2018
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers. Sorry for the delay! *Please make sure to check out the pro tip at the end! 1. Great ingredients Even though I have sensitive skin, I've never had any adverse reactions using this. 2. Recommended for dry skin It's a rich cream with a thick texture and high oil content. It's particularly suitable for those with dry skin, especially during these arid times. 3. Spatula included As you can see in the photo, they thoughtfully included a spatula. When you scoop cream with your fingers, it's inevitable that some dust gets in, no matter how careful you are. The spatula keeps things hygienic, so I could use it with peace of mind. 4. Fragrance-free I'm sensitive to scents and tend to reject products with even slightly off-putting fragrances, so I appreciated that this is unscented. +) I used it as suggested in the pro tip, and it significantly reduced the rich feeling while applying more lightly. It's great! I had severely dry skin with oil deficiency, but now my face stays moisturized all day without feeling tight! Nice! ++) My skin has become super soft. For reference, I don't do the 7-skin method, just one layer of toner, and I'm still not dry. Love it! 1. High oil content That's why I especially don't recommend it for those with oily skin. Even if you have dry skin, you should use it with a hydrating base. For the first week, I wanted to test the cream's effects on its own, but the balance tipped towards oiliness, and I almost broke out. While it's not severe, it feels heavy rather than moisturizing. This is due to the thick texture and high oil content... If you mix it with your usual toner, it balances the oil and moisture, thins out the thick texture a bit, and improves absorption! It feels much more hydrating. I mixed it with a dime-sized amount of Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner and one drop of my usual toner, but you can experiment to find what works for you. While I found it good when mixed with toner, it wasn't exactly a game-changer for me, hence the four-star rating. However, for those who find it suits them well, it could be an excellent cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 26, 2018
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers. (To provide a more helpful review, I use the product for as long as possible and write my feedback on the last day.) 1. Skin Type (for reference) - Extremely dry, even in summer - Blemish-prone skin with occasional whiteheads and pimples - Sensitive to fermented ingredients - Sensitive to high concentrations of Centella Asiatica - Super sensitive skin that easily gets irritated, itchy, or breaks out when using new cosmetics! 2. Ingredients ★★★★★ From the ingredients alone, you can see Redeu's effort to create a cream that's gentle yet moisturizing enough for those who don't tolerate oil-based products well. With my sensitive and picky skin, it's been challenging to find a brand with exactly the ingredients I want, despite trying various products. Even for dry skin, it's not always about piling on oils. For those like me with dry but acne-prone skin, oils can be overwhelming. This product uses sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) to lock in hydration. If you're not allergic to this ingredient, it could be beneficial for those sensitive to natural ingredients or prone to blemishes from oils. It works great as the final step in your skincare routine. It certainly helped me a lot! I didn't experience any blemishes from this product. 3. Texture and Application ★★★★ As you can see in the photo, the texture is like whipped cream - it's love at first sight! I checked the ingredients to see how they achieved this thick texture, and found beeswax. You might recognize this from lip balms - it provides a rich yet moisturizing feel. I've been using Skinfood's Hydro Fitting Aqua Cream, which feels more like an emulsion to me. So I was looking for something more substantial to finish my evening skincare routine, and this product fits the bill perfectly. 4. Value for Money ★★★★ The value is quite good. At first, I thought it was just a standard cream size, but as I used it, I realized it goes a long way. You don't need to apply a lot of this product - a little goes a long way. Because it's so rich, I only use it at night, which means it lasts even longer. By 'long-lasting', I mean over two months! I usually don't use cosmetics for more than three months. After that, I repurpose them for body care. (This way, you don't need to buy a separate body emulsion!) It comes with a built-in spatula, glass jar, and product box. With such good ingredients, how can they offer it at this price? (I'm genuinely curious!) 1. Rich Texture 😟😟😟 Yes, the thick texture comes with an unavoidable rich feel. But this is due to the beeswax, so a slightly rich texture is inevitable. At first application it's thick, but as you spread it, the richness comes out and forms a film. So if you apply too much, you might feel a bit greasy after just washing with water in the morning. If you've applied an emulsion or emulsion-type cream in the previous step, apply this product thinly on top, like you're sealing everything in. 2. Hyaluronic Acid This ingredient could be both a pro and a con of this product. Surprisingly many people experience itching when using hyaluronic acid products. For me, even a small amount of fermented ingredients causes that reaction. Fortunately, I'm able to use this product comfortably. While it's not exactly a pro tip, I'd recommend applying it thinly! If you apply it too thickly, it might clog your pores. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 21, 2017
I was lucky enough to be selected by The Hwahae Testers to try this product! The cream comes in a jar with a spatula for application, which is more hygienic than using your fingers directly. I accidentally dropped it once, but the container is sturdy and not too heavy, so it didn't break. The cream melts easily with the warmth of your hands, making it easy to apply. It provides good hydration even with a small amount, and the spatula dispenses just the right amount. The jar is generously sized - I've been using it for about two weeks and it's barely gone down. I've been using this cream with Hatomugi skin lotion as my basic skincare routine since I received it. Apart from a few small blemishes that appeared after a few days (which I don't think were directly caused by this product), I didn't experience any irritation. It's been gentle on my skin. Even with my recent irregular lifestyle and poor sleep and diet, my skin hasn't suffered - could it be thanks to this cream? The ingredients seem to be good quality, so I think even those with sensitive skin can use it with confidence! It feels more rich than hydrating. If I use just a little, my skin feels dry. When I apply it in the morning, I notice my face gets oily as time passes. I think the small blemishes might have appeared because my skin needs more hydration! If you need extra moisture, I'd recommend applying a hydrating product before this cream and then layering the cream on top. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 20, 2017
As one of The Hwahae Testers, I'm sharing my review after using this product for 10 days. First off, I found the spatula to be longer and deeper than other products, making it easier to scoop out the cream. The texture is balanced - not too thick like a heavy moisturizer, nor too watery like a gel. This actually worked better for me. Pure hydrating products often feel moist at first but evaporate quickly, leaving my skin drier, while heavy moisturizers can be too oily. This cream strikes a nice oil and moisture balance. It came at the perfect time during the seasonal change when I was looking for a hydrating cream. My dry, flaky skin has become much smoother! Personally, I'm satisfied enough to repurchase. It's great for combination skin types who want both hydration and moisture in moderation. Even oily skin types might find it suitable as it's not too rich. As someone with sensitive skin that often reacts to new products, I'm pleased that this didn't cause any irritation. While I appreciated the balanced formula that wasn't too rich and didn't have an overwhelming hydration burst - which worked well for me - it might not be suitable for those with dry skin. It doesn't give that deeply saturated, intense moisture feeling, so those with dehydrated skin might find it insufficient. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 20, 2017
My skin has been really dry lately, so I've been in need of a moisturizer. This one doesn't just hydrate the surface - it feels like it replenishes moisture deep down for a long time. The texture is perfect - not too thick or gel-like. It spreads easily when you warm it up between your hands and absorbs well. The ingredients are top-notch, and it moisturizes effectively without sitting on top of the skin. It has just the right amount of richness, so it's probably even better for those with dry skin. Since I have skin that doesn't take well to oily products, I noticed blemishes appearing around my nose where I tend to get oily after using this. The ingredients are great, but I'm not sure why I'm breaking out. I stopped using it for a while, then tried again, but still had the same issue. Compared to my usual A*Farm Intensive Cream, this feels a bit richer and made my face look shinier - that's probably the cause. I have combination dehydrated skin, so that might be why. For those with dry skin, though, this could be a perfect match. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 14, 2017
My skin type is combination - oily T-zone, dry U-zone, and sensitive. It's quite complex, so please keep this in mind as you read my review! First off, I loved that the product comes with a spatula, making application hygienic. The texture is relatively rich and doesn't run, which I appreciate. Despite its thick consistency, it applies smoothly. Absorption is good too. If you spread it gently and pat it in, it absorbs well. The moisturizing power is great - it feels nourishing and leaves my skin feeling supple and hydrated. The scent is very subtle, almost fragrance-free. I think those with dry skin will enjoy the appropriate richness and might even notice a slight glow! Due to its rich texture, I feel this might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin. When I applied it to my T-zone, it felt a bit greasy. Personally, I prefer moisturizers without too much richness, so this aspect was a bit disappointing for me. While I didn't experience any blemishes, those with oily skin should be careful to maintain their skin's balance when using this product. I feel this moisturizer is more suitable for winter use rather than summer. I'd recommend minimizing other skincare products and using this as a final moisturizing step for the best results!
