I've been using this as my go-to product for years, ever since it was released! I've gone through about 7-8 bottles... maybe just shy of 10. I even stocked up before moving to France for my studies. It's so hydrating, and I absolutely hate that tight, squeaky-clean feeling after washing my face. This matcha cleanser is far from that - it leaves my skin feeling soft without any deep dryness! While it's not the most powerful in terms of cleansing effectiveness, I find that using a cleansing water for makeup removal followed by this matcha cleanser leaves my skin clean and moisturized. However, it's a bit challenging to completely remove eye makeup with just this cleanser alone. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 6, 2022
After trying various products, both good and bad, I've finally settled on this cleansing foam! The scent is genuinely green tea, and I love the gel-like texture. Above all, it's incredibly gentle on the skin! Since I don't usually wear makeup, I'm not sure, but the cleansing effectiveness doesn't seem particularly strong. - yu**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRecommendedApr 12, 2022
A gentle, slightly acidic cleansing foam. It's super convenient for daily use and reasonably priced! It doesn't produce a lot of lather. The cleansing effectiveness isn't very strong, so double cleansing might be necessary. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly before cleansing! Create a lather in your hands and gently cleanse your face! - aj*******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 27, 2022
I love how gentle it is, cleansing without irritation or stripping moisture from deep within the skin. I'm already on my fourth bottle! If you wear heavy makeup, you might find it challenging to use this product alone. For those who wear makeup, use a makeup remover first, then follow up with this cleanser for best results. - wh******Combination SkinAcne SkinMar 11, 2022
I bought this after seeing it trending on YouTube, and it was incredibly gentle on my skin. It was so slippery that I couldn't tell if I had washed it all off. There was no real feeling of cleansing. Sadly, it also caused quite a few small blemishes to appear. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2022
- Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin + Redness-prone I purchased this product for morning cleansing and as a second cleanser. I used it to remove just enough oil and residue from my first cleanse without compromising my skin barrier. - Texture: I was satisfied with the texture. After cleansing, my face didn't feel particularly dry, and it left a clean finish without any slippery or uncomfortable feeling. I was slightly concerned about its cleansing effectiveness due to the low foam, but it removed the oiliness and slick feeling after using cleansing balm, so I was very pleased with the experience! - Cleansing effectiveness: Sufficient for morning/second cleanse It should be enough for those who want to use it for the same purpose as me. I didn't experience any blemishes or issues with sebum control after use. However, this is based on using it for the above purposes in fall and winter, so I'm not sure if it's suitable for summer use or for those who want to end their evening cleansing routine with this product. - Packaging: This doesn't affect the rating, but I liked the clean and pretty packaging (based on the previous design). Even though it's a tube type, when you stand it up, the product naturally gathers near the opening, so you can use it comfortably until the end without having to squeeze from the back. I'm not sure about the new packaging though. - Tingling sensation: The reason I gave it 3 stars despite being quite satisfied with its use is this: It was fine at first, but when I had used about 70% of the product, I started to feel a tingling sensation. It didn't cause any blemishes, and the tingling only occurred during cleansing and went away after rinsing, so I continued using it until the end, but this was a bit disappointing. If it weren't for this, I would have given it 4 stars, but it seemed like too big of a drawback to overlook. When I started feeling the tingling, I asked my sister to try it, and she said it was fine, so it doesn't seem like the product changed, but I'm not sure about the cause. - Comparison with other products I have used two other gentle cleansers for similar purposes: Etude Soon Jung Whip Cleanser and Lagom Gel to Water Cleanser. # Ranking them by cleansing effectiveness: Krave Beauty > Etude > Lagom Krave Beauty felt like it cleansed thoroughly without damaging the skin barrier or stripping too much moisture. Etude felt less refreshing and clean, but it removed enough impurities without causing blemishes. Lagom felt like it only removed a bit of oil, so I didn't use it on days when I had a lot of residue after first cleansing or on mornings when my skin was particularly oily. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 4, 2022
It's incredibly gentle, helps calm blemishes, and doesn't leave my face feeling tight at all. While it doesn't produce a ton of lather, its gel texture is nice if that's what you prefer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 1, 2022
It absorbs well without feeling sticky or drying out my skin! I absolutely love it! There's nothing bad to say. I'm completely satisfied with using this product! - ju*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 21, 2021
I love how gentle it feels without being greasy. It's less irritating to my skin. You need to use a separate cleansing oil for the sunscreen. The cleansing effectiveness feels a bit lacking, unfortunately. - mj******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 21, 2021
As someone with sensitive, blemish-prone skin who considers a skincare product successful if it doesn't cause a reaction, this is one of the gentlest cleansers I've tried. It's been my top choice for both second cleansing and morning washes. If you have dry skin, it could easily be your main cleanser, and for combination to oily skin types, it's perfect as a mild cleansing option. The biggest drawback is definitely the accessibility. It's frustrating that you can only buy it online, especially since I dislike stockpiling products. Being a low pH gel cleanser, it naturally isn't the most powerful in terms of cleansing effectiveness. It might not suit those who enjoy a rich, foamy cleansing experience. Also, if you're a consumer who associates luxury with heavily fragranced mainstream cleansers, this might not be for you. - Ideal for morning cleansing or as a sole cleanser on rest days - Recommended when water alone feels insufficient - Since it doesn't produce much foam, use your judgment for the right amount
