The color is clear and light beige, and the texture is slightly thicker than a toner but much thinner than an essence. When applied to the skin, it absorbs quickly, providing a moisturizing feeling and reducing dryness. It's also gentle on the skin, soothing and calming sensitive skin blemishes. While using it myself, I also recommended it to my elderly mother, and we used it together. Among older people, some experience skin itching without apparent cause (no visible skin changes, just itching symptoms), often requiring medication or ointments. When my mother applied this essence to her itchy skin, the symptoms were greatly alleviated. Seeing this, I really felt its effectiveness in soothing the skin. I think I can recommend this to my family members as well.
ConsThe downside is that the scent might be polarizing. At first, you can clearly smell the mugwort (which is fine), but I personally don't like the lingering scent. However, the scent doesn't last long, so after applying this first essence and moving on to the next skincare product, it's barely noticeable. It's still usable despite this. I'm very satisfied with its skin-soothing effects.
TipI'll update with any good tips I discover after using it more.

I bought several products from Tony Moly, including blushers. The store staff introduced me to this new product and gave me a sample to try. After using up two small sample containers, I immediately purchased the full-size product! ☝️ It's a 'water-type' essence. I was surprised when I poured it into my hand, as it flowed like water, even though it's called an essence. I use it as a 'first' essence after cleansing and toning with a cotton pad, patting it in for absorption. 👍 Despite being a water-type, it's incredibly hydrating! To be honest, this is the first essence that's made my skin feel truly moisturized. Previously, essences I've used left my skin feeling dry shortly after application, but with this one, I don't feel that dryness even after a long time. While it's not moisturizing enough to use alone for my dry skin type, I'm very satisfied with the level of hydration it provides as a first essence. For those with oily skin, this product plus a light moisturizer might be sufficient. 👍 As you can see from the ingredients list, it's 100% mugwort extract with no other additives. This is why I decided to trust the product and give it a try, even when my skin needed some time to adjust initially. I have slight redness in my skin, and while the store staff mentioned it could help with that, I haven't noticed improvements in that area yet. However, I can feel my skin texture improving - it seems more translucent somehow? Although I haven't seen dramatic changes (my skin wasn't in bad condition to begin with), I've only used about 1/3 of the bottle. Given these results so far, I'm definitely considering repurchasing!
Cons👉 I'm very sensitive to scents, and I'm not a fan of this one. I usually love the smell of mugwort, but this smells more like old medicinal herbs to me. Scent preferences vary greatly from person to person, so this could be hit or miss for others. ✅ However, the scent isn't strong and doesn't linger, so I'm able to use it without stress. 👉 For the first few days of use, my skin felt a bit tingly. It didn't cause redness or breakouts, but I was concerned it might not suit my sensitive skin. When I asked at the store, they explained that because it's medicinal mugwort, some people's skin might react as it adjusts, and some even experience breakouts. ✅ The tingling sensation disappeared for me by the time I finished the two small sample bottles, and I liked it enough to purchase the full size! I'm sharing this for other super sensitive skin folks who might be considering this product.
TipAfter cleansing, I use a toner-soaked cotton pad to prep my skin, then pat this product in for absorption. Following up with Sidmool's Kakadu Plum Ampoule provides enough hydration even for my dry skin! On days when my skin feels a bit dry, I lightly reapply this product, and it brings back that Inner Glow.
