ConsWithin just a day, blemishes started appearing one by one, and it only got worse. The mugwort scent is overwhelming... It really stings if it gets in your eyes. They recommended this because I wanted something lightweight, but oh no!
TipI'm at a loss for what to do with this product!

ConsAfter I started using this, something strange appeared on my skin. I came here to check if it's toxins coming out or if the product doesn't suit me.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to try this product and I'll provide an honest and thorough assessment. My skin type is oily with seborrheic dermatitis, redness, super sensitive skin, and dehydration. I was excited to try this product because I heard mugwort can help with redness. This product is 100% mugwort extract, perfect for someone like me practicing skincare minimalism. Texture: It has a very watery consistency. I found it absorbs better when applied with a cotton pad rather than just using hands. Calming effect: On hot days when my skin flared up, I soaked a cotton pad with the essence and left it on my skin. It effectively calmed my complexion. Skin texture: With consistent use, I noticed an improvement in my skin texture. Most importantly, I'm satisfied that it didn't cause any blemishes on my extremely sensitive skin. Scent: It has a medicinal herbal scent, likely due to being 100% mugwort extract. Overall impression: It has a slight cooling effect and provides just the right amount of hydration for summer use. Recently, I've been using all-in-one products as part of my skincare minimalism routine. I found that applying this essence first for hydration before my all-in-one product gave me a more moisturized feel, which I'm very pleased with.
ConsUnfortunately, this product didn't suit my skin in the end. For the first couple of days, it seemed calming and moisturizing. However, from the third day onwards, my skin started to redden and develop small bumps after application. It seems mugwort doesn't agree with my skin. Due to its very watery consistency, it might be suitable for oily skin types during summer. However, those with dry skin might find it lacks sufficient moisture. Since I had high expectations for this product, my disappointment is equally significant. I recommend those with sensitive skin to test a sample before purchasing.
TipFor a soothing effect, try using it as a skin pack by soaking a cotton pad and applying it to your face. For an extra cooling effect, you can store it in the refrigerator before use.

With its generous volume and pleasant feel, it seems versatile enough to apply all over. I've been using it not just on my face, but also transferred some to a spray bottle for my body. I even soaked cotton pads with it, kept them in the fridge, and used them as a cool, soothing mask. It's lightweight, provides long-lasting hydration, and gives a subtle glow that slightly improves skin texture. The essence has a water-like consistency and comes in a transparent brown liquid form.
ConsThe strong herbal scent might be off-putting for those sensitive to smells. After using it for several consecutive days, I developed what looked like hives, tiny blemishes, or keratosis pilaris all over my face and body. It's been three weeks since I stopped using the product, and they still haven't disappeared. While using a steroid ointment might clear it up faster, the affected area is too widespread to apply it safely. That's why I'm giving it just one star...
TipI was so impressed by its moisturizing absorbs and the fact that it contained only mugwort extract that I planned to keep using it. Unfortunately, it seems my skin didn't agree with it, and I'm upset that both my face and body reacted badly.

Even for my oily skin, it didn't feel heavy at all, which I loved. The scent is mugwort-based, but it's not overpowering.
ConsMy skin is somewhat sensitive, and I occasionally noticed blemishes appearing after using this essence. It also felt a bit rich for my skin type.
TipFor those with oily skin, I highly recommend applying it with a cotton pad, gently wiping it across your face for best results.

However, I experienced none of that - it absorbs well, leaving my skin hydrated. Usually, when I only apply toner and emulsion, my face feels tight, but when I used this first and then applied toner and emulsion, there was no deep dryness at all.
ConsAfter using exfoliating or scrub products, applying this caused a burning sensation and made my skin feel hot. Also, possibly because I have extremely sensitive skin, some blemishes that had previously subsided reappeared. The scent is very herbal, so those who dislike traditional herbal fragrances should keep that in mind.
TipAs a first essence, it's best to apply this immediately after cleansing!
