Considering its texture, applying 2-3 layers could provide a good boost of hydration. • Good value and packaging It's affordable when on sale, and I appreciate the glass bottle packaging. With the cold, dry weather and daily mask-wearing, my skin's been getting more sensitive and parched by the day. My skin doesn't agree with toners, so I've been sticking to cream-based skincare. One day, my face felt so tight, and I even developed redness and blemishes. Knowing I had to do something, I picked this product because mugwort is known for its soothing properties. I loved that it had a single main ingredient, which gave me confidence. The subtle fragrance was pleasant too. Though the price made me hesitate, I snagged it during a sale at a great value. As a first essence applied right after cleansing, I saw amazing results on the first and second days. My deep dryness disappeared, and my skin felt more hydrated. The redness vanished, a large blemish on my chin calmed down, and even the small bumps on my forehead improved. But why only 3 stars, you ask? On the third day, blemishes popped up in places I've never had issues before. Oddly enough, my forehead, which used to have lots of tiny bumps, became smooth. What's going on? I wondered if I'd been too generous with application because I developed cystic acne in places I've never had it before. So I tried using less the next day, but... well, it was time to say goodbye to this product too. Even if my skin feels tight, I'll stick to my usual cream. I'm giving it 3 stars because it did calm my skin for two days. Lately, I feel disheartened that I can't seem to find products that truly work for my super sensitive skin. I buy toner pads from Daiso and soak them in this essence. It really helps reduce the heat in my skin! I tend to have a lot of warmth in my cheeks, and this is fantastic in summer. It's especially refreshing when you keep it in the fridge before use! This product suits my skin well, so I don't have any particular complaints. They recommended this because I wanted something lightweight, but I can't really find any specific advantages. Within just a day, blemishes started appearing one by one, and it only got worse. The mugwort scent is overwhelming... It really stings if it gets in your eyes. They recommended this because I wanted something lightweight, but oh no! I'm at a loss for what to do with this product!

I found the hydration and soothing effects to be quite decent, and I loved the scent too! It's perfect for those who appreciate natural fragrances. There weren't really any significant downsides. Compared to other first essence products, I can't say there's anything particularly outstanding about this one. The mugwort scent is not as pleasant as I expected. While I personally enjoy the young mugwort fragrance from Hanyul, this product's scent lingers longer after use. Rather than a fresh, herbal aroma, it has more of a medicinal quality. The first impression was delightful, with a subtle mugwort scent that I really enjoyed. It seems to work well as a booster for my skincare routine. There's not really anything disappointing about it. If I had to pick something, I'd say it would be nice if the price was just a bit more affordable. I find it works well when you soak a cotton pad generously and wipe your face, then gently pat it onto areas where you're concerned about redness. I love how it absorbs quickly like a toner without any stickiness. It's great for hydration too. Perfect for light use during summer. I didn't find any major drawbacks while using it. If I had to nitpick, the only slight downside might be the herbal scent.

Maybe it's because of summer, but using this alone feels like it provides enough hydration. At first, it had a comforting mugwort scent, but after absorption... oh boy. It's like I've been passionately making out with someone. If that were true, I wouldn't feel so cheated! Paying full price for this is a bit much.

When applied, you can really feel how gentle the product is, leaving my skin feeling comfortable and satisfied. It's so hydrating that after using it as a toner replacement, I only need to add a moisturizer and I'm good to go. While I don't have any complaints personally, some might find the essence-like concentration and mugwort scent not to their liking, as it's a matter of personal preference. It's great to put in a mist bottle for frequent spritzing throughout the day. This product is truly gentle on the skin.
