This natural fragrance is a significant plus for me. However, if you're not fond of mugwort scent, this might not be an advantage for you. • Suitable for blemish-prone skin and layering With its water-based formula, it's great for layering and feels refreshing on the skin. It doesn't dry out the skin like some toners. Considering its texture, applying 2-3 layers could provide a good boost of hydration. • Good value and packaging It's affordable when on sale, and I appreciate the glass bottle packaging. Overall, there are no major drawbacks.
Cons• Lacks significant impact It doesn't offer any groundbreaking benefits and is quite similar to other mugwort-based products from different brands already on the market. • Could benefit from larger size While there aren't any specific negatives, it would be nice if it came in a larger volume option.

I found the hydration and soothing effects to be quite decent, and I loved the scent too! It's perfect for those who appreciate natural fragrances.
ConsThere weren't really any significant downsides. In fact, when compared to mugwort essences from other brands, this one held up quite well.

It seems to work well as a booster for my skincare routine.
ConsThere's not really anything disappointing about it. If I had to pick something, I'd say it would be nice if the price was just a bit more affordable.
TipI find it works well when you soak a cotton pad generously and wipe your face, then gently pat it onto areas where you're concerned about redness. Just leave it on for a moment and tap to help it absorb.

Its watery consistency, similar to a toner, makes it versatile - I apply it right after cleansing as the first step, or sometimes I put it in a mist bottle for frequent spritzing. When applied, you can really feel how gentle the product is, leaving my skin feeling comfortable and satisfied. It's so hydrating that after using it as a toner replacement, I only need to add a moisturizer and I'm good to go.
ConsWhile I don't have any complaints personally, some might find the essence-like concentration and mugwort scent not to their liking, as it's a matter of personal preference.
TipIt's great to put in a mist bottle for frequent spritzing throughout the day. This product is truly gentle on the skin.

ConsYou might accidentally spill the entire product if you're not careful... Also, it's a bit pricier than expected.
TipUsing a cotton pad to apply the product might work well!

When applied, it gives your skin a refreshing feeling.
ConsI wish the price was a bit more affordable or if they had more frequent buy-one-get-one-free promotions. The price seems to be the main drawback.

Using this essence along with the matching moisturizer from the same line has definitely reduced the redness on my face and calmed my atopic dermatitis! The mugwort scent wasn't overwhelming, and I felt my skin was deeply hydrated. Overall, I'm quite satisfied!
ConsWhen I applied a bit more generously, my face became oily, and it felt somewhat heavy after application. It might be a bit much for summer use...
TipFor those with redness, instead of patting it onto your face, try gently pressing it in with your palms as if you're allowing your skin to absorb it. It gets absorbed quickly and feels like it's really sinking into the skin!

The scent might be divisive, but I didn't mind it much and just used it as is. I started using it as a cleansing toner, but then felt it was too precious to waste, so I applied it on areas with blemishes for a soothing effect, which worked well. My complexion seemed a bit clearer, if I had to describe the feeling.
ConsIt's quite expensive for what you get, and there are no dramatic results. Also, for those who believe mugwort is good for the skin, be aware that it doesn't suit everyone. It's best to test it first before purchasing.

As my skin became more soothed, I noticed the redness seemed to decrease a bit too. I applied it by soaking a cotton pad and gently wiping it over my skin, which worked well for me! The scent isn't purely mugwort; it's more like a blend of mugwort and a regular toner fragrance. It wasn't unpleasant, and after using it a few times, I got used to it. The scent doesn't linger long, so it wasn't bothersome at all!
ConsI didn't have any major complaints, but it's a bit runny, so when applying without a cotton pad, it would drip a little. (This isn't really a downside for me, more of a point to be aware of!)
TipI recommend using it with a cotton pad, gently wiping it across your skin! Even after cleansing, when I wiped along my skin texture with a cotton pad, I noticed some dirt coming off. If you're concerned about using cotton pads, even the ones from Daiso are fine - the quality isn't significantly lower for the price. In terms of value for money, I actually found it quite good! Anyway, try incorporating cotton pads into your routine!

The texture is very fluid, almost like water. Rather than using it as an exfoliating toner, I found it's best to soak a cotton pad generously and place it on the skin, or gently pat it in for absorption. The scent... it reminds me of a traditional herbal medicine clinic! There's a subtle aroma of various medicinal herbs, which I find incredibly soothing and comforting. It's as if the fragrance alone makes my skin feel at ease. I've tried a wide range of first essences, from high-end to budget-friendly options, and this one definitely ranks in my top 3. It's on par with my favorite, the Sum Secret Essence. It provides that same level of hydration and moisture-locking effect. Once applied, it doesn't absorb so quickly that you need to rush to the next step of your skincare routine. Instead, the hydration lingers, allowing you to move on to the next product at a leisurely pace. It's refreshing yet deeply moisturizing, making it suitable for use all year round. If you haven't found your go-to first essence yet, I highly recommend this one. It's not overly expensive, so give it a try!
ConsIf it gets into your eyes, you might feel a very slight tingling sensation. Those with super sensitive skin should be careful to avoid getting it in their eyes.
